Colored Heels Are Coming To The adidas Ultra Boost

Colored heels aren’t a new feature on the adidas Ultra Boost, but when the Primeknit and Boost offering returns in a near-Triple White, it’s definitely time to take notice. This interesting color blocking showcases the three stripe’s unique ability to tinker with their world-famous runner. Earlier today we saw what colored Boost looked like, and here a simple and understate white colorway is interrupted by a splash of red on the heel cage. James Hardens USA-Themed adidas Crazylight Boost 2016 Drops Later This Week

James Harden was left off all three of the All-NBA teams despite averaging nearly 30 points a game along with 7 assists and 6 rebounds. He’s the first player in history with numbers that good not to make an All-NBA team, and you can only imagine he’ll be thinking about that while training this summer. Harden was a shoe-in to make Team USA’s roster for the Rio Olympics, but he decided to skip the event like so many other of the NBA’s top stars. adidas was prepared just in case, creating this adidas Crazylight Boost 2016 pair featuring the USA’s red, white, and blue with a ’13’PE stitching on the tongue. adidas Hoops continues to showcase growth thanks to the inclusion of Boost technology and a truly unique design that sees fierce ribbed midsole support system, Continental rubberized traction unit, and a dynamic neoprene slip-on fit for added comfort. The adidas Ultra Boost lends itself to the DIY crowd quite well. Thanks to the staggering popularity of the shoe, people have taken to customizing the Ultra Boost in very creative ways, including freeing the Primeknit upper from it’s caged laces to coloring the Boost soles. Whether or not these two hacks inspired adidas to eventually release an Ultra Boost sans the cage and/or with colored Boost is up for debate, but what can’t be denied is that it breathed new life into a silhouette that is still on the upward tick. Usually reboots happen after the shoe has faltered. Not with the Ultra Boost it seems.

Ahead of its July 16 release, adidas dropped off a pair of the red Ultra Boost Uncaged with colored Boost for us to unbox live on uh, Facebook Live. An Ultra Boost is always going to attract an audience, but so far the reaction to the colored Boost seems to be mixed and it’s also very interesting that the Boost sole is not totally dipped in red (well, more like orange red), as you see in the pictures up top. We also compared the adidas Ultra Boost Uncaged to the original Ultra Boost in a similar colorway to give the audience an idea of what to expect and to give them a chance to see which one they might prefer.

When will we do another live unboxing on Facebook? One way to make sure you don’t miss the next broadcast is by liking our KicksOnFire Facebook page. We also give our fans the heads up on Twitter and Snapchat (snapKicksOnFire) so you can see a preview of what we’re about to open up.

Colored adidas Boost Releases This Weekend On The Ultra Boost Uncaged

The adidas Ultra Boost Uncaged is back in two new colorways this weekend, each featuring the freshly minted colorized Boost midsole unit. When initially debuted, adidas unveiled the reason behind why Boost had to be white in color – the microscopic air bubbles would cause cracking in the midsole if they decided to paint over it, thus giving wear and tear to a new sneaker with relative ease. For the most part, people didn’t mind given the comfort and clean look and the three stripes even found new ways to camouflage the white boost through synthetic overlays like the one found on the Yeezy 350 Boost. Now it looks like the trefoil has finally worked the color kinks out to present us the Ultra Boost Uncaged in a completely new and exciting way. Available in Solar Red and Core Black, the Primeknit upper sees a sock-like collar complete with a marbled speckling on the woven material. Each release will hit international retailers like Solebox this Saturday, July 16th. Check out more detailed shots of the latest Ultra Boost Uncaged offering after the break and let us know if you’re a fan of the Boost finally getting the color treatment by taking your thoughts to our comments section.

adidas Is Releasing Colored Boost Because Of The Insane Demand

adidas isn’t shy about revealing just exactly why they’re going ahead with colored Boost soles. The fans want it. Arguably the most popular and trendy footwear innovation since Nike’s Flyknit, Boost technology has been at the forefront of the adidas movement as it’s been the highlight feature of its two best models, the Ultra Boost and NMD R1, and of course the Yeezy footwear line. The next step in Boost evolution will be colored soles, and they’ll be introduced as part of the Ultra Boost Uncaged in all-black and all-red. We already know that colored Boost soles will be part of the NMD line-up as well, so it’s only a matter of time before Yeezy shoes feature the same. The first set of the colored-Boost editions of the adidas Ultra Boost Uncaged will be available this Saturday, July 16th at adidas Running retailers worldwide. Get a detailed on-foot look at the three options just below.

The adidas Tubular Doom Primeknit Clear Granite Is On The Way

adidas tubular doom primeknit 1 adidas tubular doom primeknit 2 adidas tubular doom primeknit 4 adidas tubular doom primeknit 3

The adidas Tubular Doom is one of the latest models to be blessed with a Primeknit upper. The use of Primeknit gives the shoe even more of a modern look and feel. One of the colorways set to release in the near future is the adidas Tubular Doom Primeknit Clear Granite.

The shoe comes buildt in the aforementioned Primeknit upper. Taking the tonal approach, the same Clean Granite placed on the Primeknit is placed on the overlay and heel strap/counter. Branding is spotted on the sock like collar, as well as on the heel strap. Being that it still is a Tubular model, the signature Tubular Doom sole unit is placed below. Said to be arriving in the next few week, are you looking to pick up a pair?

via: Inflammable

Author’s Take

I keep hearing that the Tubular sole is not the best when it comes to comfort. I think those are one of the main reasons I won’t be picking up a pair.
