Adidas Skateboarding Introduces The adidas Matchcourt Slip

adidas MatchCourt Slip 1 adidas MatchCourt Slip 2 adidas MatchCourt Slip 3 adidas MatchCourt Slip 4 adidas MatchCourt Slip 5 adidas MatchCourt Slip 6

Adidas Skateboarding has just introduced a brand new silhouette with the adidas Matchcourt Slip. If this shoe looks familiar it’s because it’s a modified version of the adidas Matchcourt just without laces.

The new Matchcourt Slip is inspired by adidas? renowned heritage in tennis shoe design, yet customized to meet the performance demands of modern skateboarding. Taking a look at the shoe we can see that it features a clean upper with a durable rubber toe cap that creates a responsive fit. The molded PU sockliner increases protection while providing comfort and the longer-lasting double wrap vulcanized outsole construction paired with a sticky rubber facilitates great board feel and grip.

There will be three colorways kicking off the release of the new Matchcourt Slip, which will include black/white, black/black and white/white combinations. The Matchcourt Slip will be available beginning April 1 on the adidas Skateboarding website and specialty retailers in the USA for a retail price of $60.

Author’s Take

I’m guessing adidas created this shoe to be the equivalent to the Vans Slip-On. People who really skateboard will appreciate this shoe and the $60 price tag will allow them to buy and skate in a pair without having to be too worried about messing them up.

Stella McCartney Has Created Another Colorway Of The adidas Ultra Boost

adidas Ultra Boost 1 adidas Ultra Boost 2 adidas Ultra Boost 3

You may not know this, but one of the first ever partners that adidas ever collaborated with on the adidas Ultra Boost was Stella McCartney. Last year the two linked up to release a colorful rendition of the popular runner.

Now both parties have joined forces once again to release yet another colorway of the Ultra Boost. This Stella McCartney x adidas Ultra Boost features a White Primeknit upper with black overlays, pink laces, and orange detailing on the side panels. Other features include a grey heel counter, a mesh cage, white BOOST midsole and black rubber outsole.

If anyone is interested you can pick up a pair now from Stella McCartney’s website for a retail price of $260. Take a look at images of the shoe above and let us know your thoughts.

Author’s Take

In my opinion there’s just too much going on with this Ultra Boost. Too many colors and the mesh cage on the side panels just make sit look like a different shoe. I’m not a fan of this Ultra Boost.

Step Up Your Sandal Game With The adidas Y-3 Qasa Sandal

Y-3 Qasa Sandal 1 Y-3 Qasa Sandal 2 Y-3 Qasa Sandal 3 Y-3 Qasa Sandal 4 Y-3 Qasa Sandal 5

Spring is in full effect, it’s time to break out your mean sandal game. Have some extra moola and looking to get a pair different from the norm? Take a look at the brand new adidas Y-3 Qasa Sandal.

Derived from the Y-3 Qasa model, this rendition of the shoe becomes a sandal, which makes it ideal for the current season. The sock-like upper is removed and so is the lacing system. The only thing left on the upper happens to be the black forefoot straps which are utilized as the straps used on a sandal. Keeping the tonal look of the shoe going is the black Tubular outsole with the Y-3 branding placed on the sole and heel. Like what you see? You can now pick up a pair at select retailers for $350.

via: SSENSE

Author’s Take

If you like the Y-3 aesthetics, you’re going to like this sandal, regardless of the price. In my opinion though, it seems to be a bit too much on the pricey side. The sandal is clean, but not $350 clean.

adidas Basketball 2016 Easter Collection

adidas Basketball 2016 Easter Collection 2 adidas Basketball 2016 Easter Collection 3 adidas Basketball 2016 Easter Collection 4 adidas Basketball 2016 Easter Collection 5 adidas Basketball 2016 Easter Collection 6 adidas Basketball 2016 Easter Collection 7 adidas Basketball 2016 Easter Collection 8 adidas Basketball 2016 Easter Collection 9 adidas Basketball 2016 Easter Collection 11

Easter is only three days away and adidas took the time today to officially unveil their 2016 Easter Basketball Collection.

Consisting of the adidas D Lillard 2, and two colorways of the adidas Crazylight Boost 2.5, the adidas Basketball Easter 2016 Collection is inspired by the tradition of dyed eggs on Easter Sunday.

Let’s start off with the Crazylight Boost 2.5 PE colorways. The first Crazylight Boost 2.5 was designed for Andrew Wiggins and comes white and gray Primeknit threads that deliver a gradient fade along the upper. A unique Easter egg graphic print lands on the forefoot treated with a gloss finish. Light gray accents are paired with pops of pink on the outsole, three stripes, laces and custom ?AW? wordmark. Next is the 2nd Crazylight Boost 2.5 that was designed for James Harden. This colorway shades of haze salmon and features a multi-layered upper with structural textures and soft, premium leather along the forefoot to deliver a lux finish. There isn’t too much that screams Easter on this pair with the exception of Light pink hits are featured on the laces and custom ?13? wordmark. Harden will debut this Crazylight 2.5 when the Rockets face the Pacers on March 27.

Next is the D Lillard 2 which comes with a dyed Easter egg graphic print on the upper, while its mesh paneling, laces and Dame logos are designed in traditional pink pastel hues. To round out the Easter tribute, white details are contrasted by light blue accents on the TECHFIT bootie, outsole and midsole splatter pattern.

The D Lillard 2 ($105) and Andrew Wiggins Crazylight Boost 2.5 PE ($130) release March 27 at adidas.com.

Author’s Take

The Easter egg dye print on the D Lillard 2 and Andrew Wiggins Crazylight Boost 2.5 definitely capture the theme of Easter. If I had to pick one I’d go with the Crazylight Boosy 2.5 because of the Primeknit upper.

The adidas Originals Stan Smith Luxe Is Feeling A Bit Corky

ADIDAS STAN SMITH LUXE 1 ADIDAS STAN SMITH LUXE 2 ADIDAS STAN SMITH LUXE 3

Using cork on a sneaker is nothing new, but for the most part adidas is not the one doing it, until now. Check out this luxe version of the adidas Originals Stan Smith Luxe utilizing a cork midsole to give the model a distinguished look.

The upper of the Stan Smith appears to remain true to form as a white leather is accompanied by the perforations acting as the Three Stripes branding and the hits of Fairway Green noted on the heel tab of the shoe. What really gives the shoe some pop is the cork constructed midsole found below. Tonal branding on the tongue, a set of white laces and eyelets round up the aesthetics of the shoe. Available now internationally, we will let you know when these drop stateside.

Author’s Take

I thought cork was cool when it initially dropped on the LeBron model, but I’m a bit over it now. In my opinion, adidas arrived late to the cork trend.

The adidas ClimaCool Is Making It Way Back Next Month

Is a shoe that released back in the 2000’s already considered a “classic”. If so, the classic adidas ClimaCool is set to be back in action sooner than you think. Considered to be one of the best running shoes that adidas had to offer during the 2000s, adidas has decided to bring it back starting with three tonal offerings.

As mentioned above, the ClimaCool will be reintroduced beginning with three tonal colorways, the one pictured above happens to be the all-red version. The mesh constructed upper is accompanied by the clear caging system found on the midfoot of the shoe. Patent leather appears to covers the eyestay, while the toecap comes with additional padding for added durability. Slated to release April 2, are you looking to pick up a pair?

via: adidas Originals

Author’s Take

It’s cool, but if adidas ever decided to put Boost on the model, I’d be all on it. Hope you’re reading this, adidas.

adidas Skateboarding Transforms The Matchcourt Into A Slip-On Shoe

Last December, adidas Skateboarding added a contemporary touch to the Matchcourt by adding a rubberized toe-cap on the shoe – a direct response to the desires of the athletes on its skate team. For the Summer, adidas is making yet another transformation to the silhouette by cutting it down into a slip-on style; the slip-on aesthetic is already established within Summer trends, but adidas’ take on it combines sport-ready features like the toe-box as well as the proper cushioning needed for skating. Cop any of the three available colorways at adidas Skateboarding retailers in-store and online beginning on April 1st; each pair retails for just $60.

Check Out The United Arrows x adidas Originals Tobacco Collaboration

Japan based United Arrows recently revealed their latest collaboration with the Three Stripes. No it’s not done on the Superstar or the Stan Smith, instead they opt to go with the adidas Originals Tobacco.

The United Arrows x adidas Originals Tobacco comes dressed in a tonal upper constructed out of a navy colored suede construction. Adding to the monochromatic look of the shoe is the tonal branding placed on the tongue, side panels and heel tab. A navy colored sole unit and matching inner lining complete the look of the shoe. Expect this collaboration to release March 28th as a Japan exclusive for around $142.

via: FASHION-PRESS.NET

Author’s Take

It’s a simple and subtle type of collaboration. Nothing really to go over being that it’s just a tonal suede upper. If you like this type of look you will probably like this shoe. Too bad it’s a Japan exclusive.
