EQT Vibes On The adidas ZX Flux Sub Green

ADIDAS ZX FLUX 1 ADIDAS ZX FLUX 2 ADIDAS ZX FLUX 3

It seems like a lot of model are taking inspiration from the EQT line nowadays. The next pair to do so is none other than the adidas ZX Flux. Using the beloved Sub Green colorway to help give the shoe some pop, let’s take a look at what is being called the adidas ZX Flux Sub Green.

This pair of the ZX Flux comes in a predominantly White seamless upper contrasted nicely by the Sub Green noted on the branding on the tongue, heel and side panels. A little bit of Grey is seen on the heel to complete the EQT feel of the shoe. What are your thoughts on the adidas ZX Flux Sub Green? Hot or not? Available internationally, a stateside release appears imminent.

Author’s Take

From far away, it kind of does look like an EQT model. It looks cool, but does anybody wear ZX Fluxes anymore?

A Core Black Leather Covers This adidas Gazelle

ADIDAS GAZELLE 1 ADIDAS GAZELLE 2 ADIDAS GAZELLE 3

With Fall season among us, it’s time to break out some all-Black sneaker. In need of a pair? Check out the adidas Gazelle rocking the Core Black look.

Opting to come in monochromatic fashion, the adidas Gazelle rocks a Black leather upper done in a Core Black colorway. The same hue is used on the sole, Three Stripes, laces, tongue and lining. The only part of the shoe that does not come in Black is the Gold branding on the side panels. Embossed Trefoil branding on the tongue give the shoe a nice touch to round out the main features on the shoe. Available internationally, we will let you know once this pair arrives stateside.

Author’s Take

Solid looking colorway done on the Gazelle. The branding on the tongue and Gold hit is really a nice touch. Would I buy? No. But it’s still dope looking sneaker.

Check Out This Never Before Seen adidas Ultra Boost Model

New Ultra Boost alert. The three stripes have been focused on the adidas NMD line for most of summer, with the sock-like fit being heralded for its perfect and timely appearance onto the release slate. The adidas Ultra Boost has still been going strong too, with both the Caged and Uncaged models benefiting from tonal and vibrant colorized Boost looks to hold you down for the hottest months of the year. Now the trefoil brand is tinkering with the design for a brand new Ultra Boost construction.

So what do we call this model? It’s not quite ‘Uncaged’ but does share the sock-like slip-on fit of past adidas Ultra Boost Uncaged releases. In fact, the overall aesthetic is fairly reminiscent of Stella McCartney’s Ultra Boost with the added overlay not only serving as the lace eyelets but connecting the solidified heel cage for a comfortable form-fitting ride.

What do you think of this new Ultra Boost construction? Be sure to check out more preview images after the break and we’ll keep you updated on all of the latest adidas Ultra Boost releases right here on Sneaker News.

The adidas Samoa Pigskin Pack Continues With Two New Colorways

adidas Originals is refreshing their adidas Samoa “Pigskin Pack” with two new colorways slated to release on August 27th. The original adidas Samoa Pigskin Pack introduced three monochromatic colorways of grey, pink, and tan, each in soft pigskin suede for a standout look that was perfect for the warmer months when the trio debuted back in late-May. Now the trefoil looks ahead to Fall 2016 with the release of vibrant Deep Red and fresh Mint Green colorways.

The adidas Samoa perfectly meshes early 2000s streetwear sensibilities with a retro soccer twist, made modern here through the use of a luxurious pigskin suede wrapping entirely around the low-top silhouette. Embossed branding on the side panels, tongue, and heel adds a premium effect to match a leather interior. The latest adidas Samoa “Pigskin Pack” will release on August 27th for $130 each. Check out more detailed shots below and stay tuned for more updates right here on Sneaker News.

The Closest Triple Black adidas NMD XR1

What more can be said about adidas Originals’ dominant summer and releases like the adidas NMD and the adidas NMD XR1? Through smart and minimalist design cues, Primeknit and Boost constructions, and smart rollout plans that keep fans interested, the trefoil brand has proven to be back in a major way. And all of that is before the upcoming colorized Boost wave that’s coming in the near future, like with this adidas NMD XR1 Triple Black, slated to release at European outlets on August 26th.

The NMD XR1 Triple Black accomplishes the murdered out look in a completely new way, as the Primeknit upper utilizes a head-turning striped construction consisting of both Core Black and Dark Grey accents. The TPU cage overlay adds lockdown support in a stylish way, as a matte black matches the new Core Black Boost midsole unit. Other details like striped laces, new suede heel counter and matching “The Brand With The Three Stripes” heel tab all pull together in the perfect way.

There’s no word yet on when the adidas NMD XR1 Triple Black will arrive at stateside retailers, but if you’re overseas in Europe, know that you can try to get your hands on this pair on August 26th. Check out more detailed shots below and stay tuned for more updates via our release dates page.

First Look At The Reigning Champ x adidas Ultra Boost

The last time we saw Vancouver-based Reigning Champ was when they linked up with Asics to release a couple of collaborative colorways of the Gel Lyte 3.

Now the premiere fabric design label has joined forces with adidas to put their signature touch on another elite runner, the adidas Ultra Boost. The Reigning Champ x adidas Ultra Boost features a heathered Primeknit upper done in a combination of black and grey. The design/material is believed to be inspired by Reigning Champ’s history of creating some of the finest hoodies and sweats. This collaborative Ultra Boost is finished off with Reigning Champ branding on the tongue, a White Boost midsole, and a black rubber outsole.

No release date is available yet, but enjoy a first look at the Reigning Champ x adidas Ultra Boost above and stay tuned to Kicks On Fire for updates.

Author’s Take

At first glance it doesn’t seem like this Ultra Boost is anything out of the ordinary. Maybe once we see more that show the materials better it will change my opinion. But if not I don’t plan on picking up this Ultra Boost.

adidas Has Its Own Ultra Boost Knock-Off Called The Galaxy 3

Nope, these aren’t the latest Skechers rip-off of a popular sneaker, adidas themselves have created a shoe that, let’s just say, is highly influenced by the Ultra Boost. With more than obvious similarities right down to the recognizable original black and purple colorway of the Ultra Boost, adidas offer up a much more affordable takedown version of the world’s currently most popular running shoe. Priced at only $50 (with an additional 30% off at wherever this photo was taken), you won’t be getting any Primeknit or Boost foam in this budget running shoe named the Galaxy 3, but they do come equipped with “Cloudfoam”. Oh, and for the extra trendy ballers on a budget out there, they also come in a “triple white” look. Who’s copping a pair?

Another Champs Sports Exclusive (And Reflective) adidas NMD Is On The Way

Still reeling from adidas NMD Day (Part 2)? Maybe you didn’t find the pair just for you? Looking for those fire reflective colorways but thought the white and black colorways were a little too bland? Champs Sports has something that you just might be interested in.

Releasing later this week, Champs will be dropping another exclusive adidas NMD following in the footsteps of the White Black Maroon colorway that landed in Champs stores this past weekend.

This new colorway appears to use the mesh scheme as the Maroon release, which will be perfect for the fall months. Looks like we’re still riding high on the NMD hype train.

Champs Sports Will Have Another Exclusive adidas NMD Colorway

It looks like adidas Originals and Champs Sports have something else up their sleeves, as another exclusive colorway of the NMD will soon be hitting the sneaker store chain. Following up the black/reflective/maroon pair that just dropped last week, today we get a look at a second Champs-exclusive colorway of the popular silhouette that won’t be available anywhere else. With a more low-key look than last week’s colorway, the NMD is featured in a heathered black mesh upper with all details also in black other than the white Boost midsole for a simple and sleek appearance.

There’s no word yet on an official drop date for the next Champs Sports exclusive NMD, but expect them to hit the shelves sometime later this month.

$130 fpr baby shoes? You’re kidding me, right? I’ll admit that the baby version of the Yeezy Boost 350 does look better than the adult though, but that’s just me.

A Detailed On-Foot Look at the adidas NMD City Sock in Black and White

Minimalism is the name of the game for the adidas NMD City Sock, which features a sleek one-piece Primeknit upper in a chukka silhouette for a stylish and simple approach to the ultra-popular line from the Originals department. Further emphasizing the less-is-more ethos of the City Sock, the Three Stripes’ latest look for the model features a plain and simple black and dark grey striped upper with solid black midsole inserts and the Boost foam midsole in its usual shade of white. The design itself may not be for everyone, but the colorway is definitely the most versatile look for the City Sock yet.

There’s still no official release date for this black colorway of the NMD City Sock, but be on the lookout for them very soon at select adidas Originals suppliers.

Reigning Champ Creates A Cozy adidas Ultra Boost

Vancouver’s own Reigning Champ has been the de facto brand in the category of premium lifestyle sweats for quite some time. The lifestyle imprint has even taken steps to enter the footwear world with a premium ASICS collaboration earlier this year followed by their first adidas Originals collaboration with the adidas Ultra Boost.

A normal collaborative effort wouldn’t cut it for Reigning Champ either, as one of the most popular silhouettes is getting an overhaul inspired by their menswear hoodies as the Primeknit upper gets a facelift. The added wool-like marbling on this Black/White offering should add even more comfort for this Fall/Winter driven adidas Ultra Boost. Reigning Champ keeps things relatively simple otherwise, as a black cage overlay matches the base and Continental rubberized bottom. An ‘RC’ logo hits the tongue so there’s no doubt as to who is responsible for this premium Ultra Boost.

There’s no word yet on when this Reigning Champ x adidas Ultra Boost will arrive at retailers, but stay tuned for more updates right here on Sneaker News.

adidas NMD Olive Releasing Exclusively In Europe

The adidas NMD madness is all wrapped up stateside with those 19 pairs releasing last week. Europe still has plenty to look forward to, as overseas markets will be receiving those same NMD pairs on August 26th joined by this European exclusive adidas NMD R1 “Olive” colorway.

Whether it be Primeknit, added camouflage patterns on a woven textile, or a breathable mesh, the adidas NMD R1 has proven to be one of Summer 2016’s hottest models for both its head-turning style and unbelievable comfort. The adidas NMD R1 “Olive” utilizes a simple monochromatic olive green mesh upper with subtle three stripe branding on the side panels matching the base throughout. The worldly “The Brand With The Three Stripes” hits the contrasting black heel tab for a unique addition. What do you think of this adidas NMD pair slated to release on August 26th?
