This Air Jordan 6 Was Designed For Kanye West Back In 2008 In Memory Of His Mom

Kanye West may be repping hard for the three stripes these days, but there was a point in his life where he was seen rocking Jordans and Nikes on the daily.

Back in 2008 Jordan Brand created a special colorway of the Air Jordan 6 for Kanye West. The shoe comes dressed in a white and red upper with rose detailing on the side panel and heel/ankle overlays. The majority of the shoe is done in white with red detailing landing on the midsole, inner liner, and heel. The shoe was inspired by Kanye West’s late mother, Donda West, who passed away in 2007.What are your thoughts on this Air Jordan 6?

IMG_2662 IMG_2661 IMG_2660

It’s (almost) finally here. We’ve been waiting months and months (some of us years) for the Air Jordan 1 High OG Bred to return and it’s finally coming this weekend.

Last seen in 2013, Jordan Brand has decided to bring back the iconic and legendary colorway of the Air Jordan 1 that features a new premium leather upper. Varsity Red and Black come together on this Air Jordan 1 which is finished off with a White midsole and the OG Nike Air branding on the tongue. You can look for the Air Jordan 1 High OG Bred to release at select retailers on September 3rd in men’s and kids sizes (3.5y ? 7y) for $160 and $120, respectively.

Make sure to click and visit ourAir Jordan 1 High OG Bred (2016) hub page for all the latest news and info regarding this release.

Swin Cash Stunts In A Sample Pair Of Air Jordan 11s

It’s always a cool thing to see sample colorways of some of our favorite sneakers, especially Air Jordans. Having just looked at a new sample colorway of the Air Jordan 3, we now shift our attention to another iconic Air Jordan silhouette, the Air Jordan 11.

WNBA superstar Swisn Cash recently visited the ESPN studios and was spotted wearing some VERY rare sneakers. One her feet is a sample pair of Air Jordan 11 Lows that features an all-black upper with a white midsole and gum outsole. It’s pretty much the same shoe as the Navy/Gum pair that released earlier this year but instead of being blue it’s black.

Would you have preferred this pair released instead of the Navy colorway? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

Dope colorway. If these were Mids I would have gone crazy over them.

Heres A Sample Colorway Of The Air Jordan 3

While we wait for a handful of Air Jordan 3s to release throughout the Fall season, today we take a look at an Air Jordan 3 that we won’t be able to own.

Up above is a sample colorway of the Air Jordan 3 that has recently surfaced. This colorway of the classic Jordan Brand silhouette features a College Grey leather upper with tonal hits landing on the laces, branding, inner liner, and even the sole unit. The shoe is an unreleased sample version of the Cool Grey 3s that released back in 2007.

What are your thoughts on this College Grey Air Jordan 3? Would you buy a pair if they ever released?

A Completely New Style Of The Air Jordan 1 Is Revealed

A few seasons back Jordan Brand started introducing the iconic Air Jordan 1 in an entirely new style – the original ‘Wings’ logo on the ankle collar that had been such a defining feature for Mike’s first signature silhouette was ditched entirely for an ‘Air Jordan’ callout instead. The “Rare Air” Collection was created to pay homage to some early samples of the Jordan 1 that featured the ‘Air Jordan’ branding on the ankle collar. Today we get a look at a new near-Chicago like colorway that includes another interesting detail – ‘Nike Air’ branding on the heel.

A premium tumbled leather returns to the ankle collar and red panels throughout while touches of white and black contrast on the side panels and toe. The Bright Crimson shade here is a bit brighter than the traditional Varsity Red hue. And while Jumpman branding helps define the tongue, there’s a random Nike Air heel logo for good measure to add to the head-scratching branding found throughout this strange pair.

What do you think of this “Chicago” like colorway on the Air Jordan 1, but without the iconic ‘Wings’ logo? Check out a full view after the break and be sure to stay updated on the latest Air Jordan release dates right here on Sneaker News.

An Air Jordan 4 Wheat Is Releasing

The Air Jordan 4 has been privy to a number of different reworkings over the last couple of years. The 11Lab4 welcomed a seamless, molded upper in patent leather, while the “Premium” joints saw the Tinker design get upgrades in pony hair, snakeskin, and soon, quilted leather. It appears that this next Air Jordan 4 is going for something a bit grittier, with a work-boot style “Wheat” offering that winter wearability that should make these a huge hit in any region that experiences harsher climates. All that’s revealed is this teaser image of the upper, which shows a perforated midfoot panel in place of the signature netting. Get a look at the teaser ahead.

Complete Release Info For The Air Jordan 1 Banned

We’re only a few days way from the release of the must-have sneaker of Fall 2016 – the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Banned” on September 3rd, 2016 for $160 USD. It’s been nearly three years since we last saw the iconic colorway of the Air Jordan 1 release at retailers, but unlike its 2013 predecessor, this year’s Air Jordan 1 Banned release will be available at plenty of retailers ranging from nationwide releases at Footaction, Finishline, Foot Locker, Eastbay, and will most certainly make an appearance at your local sneaker boutique.

The Air Jordan 1 Banned retro utilizes a luxurious tumbled leather on the toe and Swoosh side panel branding, a detail that fits right in with the Jumpman’s Remastering initiative and more closely resembles the 1985 offering than any past retro release. The ‘Nike Air’ branding is back on the tongue and also on the freshly implemented white insole to keep things as traditional as possible, with the size detailing on inner collar being a direct nod to the ’85 original. Be sure to check out a full on-feet look after the break, and if you can’t wait until the weekend, find your size right now on eBay.

Another Look At The Upcoming Air Jordan 3 Wool

Air Jordan 3 2 Air Jordan 3 1 Air Jordan 3

Following a detailed look of the Air Jordan 3 Wool, which is suggested to be part of JB?s standout Holiday 2016 lineup, lifestyle imagery of the forthcoming silhouette are now featured.

Evoking lifestyle flair and functionality, due to its cohesive textile fiber construction providing more warmth during the colder months ahead, the defining woolen component is essentially prominent across its upper, which is nicely contrasted by a sail white rubber sole unit to cap off the classic yet simple two-tone design.

Retailing for a price tag of $200, fans can expect this pair to debut at select JB and Nike stockists starting December 17th.

Author’s Take

I?m all for applying new materials on classic JB silhouettes. This pair doesn?t look that bad. The colorway is versatile and it?ll be suitable for the colder weather.

So, How Many Pairs Of The Air Jordan 1 High OG Bred Are You Trying To Get

Arguably, the most anticipated release of 2016 is less than one week away. I’m not even going to ask of this is a cop or drop, or if you’re getting a pair. Better yet, my question to you is, how many pairs of the Air Jordan 1 High OG Bred are you getting trying to get your hands on?!

Historically and aesthetically, not many other Jordans can stand toe to toe with the Jordan 1 Bred. Not only was it the first Jordan 1 colorway that Michael Jordan ever wore, the NBA felt the need to ban the damn shoe since it didn’t have enough White on it. Coming in remastered fashion, the Jordan 1 Bred boasts a Red and Black upper done in leather construction. Most of Red leather has that same textured/soft look and feel that we saw on the instant classic Air Jordan 1 Shattered Backboards, while the Black leather appears be nothing out of the ordinary. Nike Air on the tongue, Wings branding on the heel and a White midsole/Red outsole combination complete the OG look of the shoe. Priced at $160 and releasing on September 3rd, please be sure to scope out our Air Jordan 1 High OG Bred (2016) hub page for all the latest new and info regarding next week’s release.

Another Look At The Air Jordan 5 Raptors

Even though the colorway released about three years before the team existed, the original Air Jordan 7 in its iconic black, purple, and red version has gotten stuck with the nickname “Raptors” in the years since thanks to its matching look to the original Toronto Raptors team colors. Historically inaccurate, but the “Raptors” name seems to be here for good on the classic Air Jordan 7.

Now a new Raptors look is on the scene, with the upcoming Air Jordan 5 retro in the same black, purple, and red combination made famous by the OG 7’s. But unfortunately for most of us, it appears only the young ladies get treated to this “Raptors” look on the Air Jordan 5, which will be releasing in grade school girls sizing on September 17th.

The Air Jordan 4 Premium Obsidian Will Finally Release Next Month

Air Jordan 4 Premium Obsidian 1 Air Jordan 4 Premium Obsidian 2 Air Jordan 4 Premium Obsidian 3 Air Jordan 4 Premium Obsidian 4 Air Jordan 4 Premium Obsidian 5 Air Jordan 4 Premium Obsidian 6

Not much info or images regarding the Air Jordan 4 Premium Obsidian has surfaced over the past couple of months, but being that the shoe is now close to releasing, we can expect that to change with the quickness. Releasing next month, let’s take a look at the latest images of the Air Jordan 4 Premium Obsidian.

Considered a Pinnacle rendition of the Air Jordan 4, this premium pair of 4s is definitely not your ordinary pair of Jordan 4s. The shoe starts off with a premium quilted leather upper done in a tonal Obsidian colorway. The netting we’re used to seeing on the side panels is replaced by even more quilted leather stitching. Simply put, the shoe gets a lot of its premium look and feel by the use to lots of different type of stitching placed all over the shoe. Additional features include the embossed Jumpman branding on the heel and leather tongue tag. Leather lining, leather laces and strategically placed hits of Metallic Copper give the shoe that Pinnacle motif. An all-White sole unit seen blow rounds out the look of the shoe. Priced at $400 and releasing on September 17th, be sure to visit out Air Jordan 4 Premium Obsidian hub page as even more image and info on the shoe begin to surface.

Author’s Take

I really like the shoe, but keeping it real, $400 is a bit to steep for me. If for some reason these go down to like $250, I’d scoop up a pair, if not, I’ll keep it moving.

Just like we thought it was going to happen, the Air Jordan 11 Low Metallic Gold took all the spotlight away from the “other” Air Jordan that dropped today, the Air Jordan 1 KO High Obsidian. Yea, for those who weren’t aware, there was another Air Jordan that released today.

This KO version of the Jordan 1 High comes dressed in a tonal Obsidian upper, making it a very versatile shoe to wear. What differentiates this model from past KO versions is the materials and textures used to create the shoe. Going for more of a lifestyle look, the shoe dons denim overlays paired up with a quilted suede upper that’s soft to the touch. Strategically placed hits of White noted on the sole and branding provide to perfect contrast to the tonal looking shoe. Lastly, metallic bronze eyelets help give the shoe a nice premium feel. Priced at $140, did you decide to pick up a pair? Let us know in the comments below.
