The adidas Basketball family continues to grow, as the brand officially welcomes eight new members to its 2016 Rookie Class.

Thon Maker of the Milwaukie Bucks, Taurean Prince of the Atlanta Hawks, Wade Baldwin of the Memphis Grizzlies, DeAndre Bembry of the Atlanta Hawks, Ivica Zubac of the Los Angeles Lakers, Cheick Diallo of the New Orleans Pelicans, Patrick McCaw of the Golden State Warriors and Isaiah Cousins of the Sacramento Kings join the ranks of their initial draft class, which is highlighted by Brandon Ingram of the Los Angeles Lakers, Jaylen Brown of the Boston Celtics, Dragan Bender of the Phoenix Suns, Kris Dunn of the Minnesota Timberwolves and Jamal Murray of the Denver Nuggets.

Each member will play a collaborative and instrumental role in driving performance insights to create new footwear and apparel for adidas.

You can also look forward to meeting them in upcoming brand campaigns, activations and global tours.

Did you get a chance to scope out adidas Y-3’s newest creation? Derived from the brand’s classic Qasa model, adidas Y-3 has created the Qasa into a boot for this Fall season. If you’re in the market for a fresh pair of boots that look anything but ordinary, take a look at the adidas Y-3 Qasa Boot.

The adidas Y-3 Qasa Boot manages to keep many of the signature traits the Qasa High possesses. Features such as the Tubular-like sole and elastic straps still remain intact. It still comes with a neoprene upper and a set of waxed laces. The only difference lies in the height of the footwear. Being that it’s a boot, they needed to add six more sets of eyelets to heighten the aesthetics. You will also find premium leather and a carbon fiber-like textile on the upper, while a performance Poron lining completes the major features on the boot. Last month we saw the adidas NMD XR1 make its debut in a variety of colorways for men and women. This weekend the revamped NMD returns with a new feature.

Dropping in this Core Black colorway, the adidas NMD XR1 features a breathable and flexible Primeknit upper for an enhanced fit along with moulded TPU quarter panels, EVA midsole plugs, and a blacked out Boost midsole, a first for the NMD XR1.

I wasn’t really a fan of any of the colorways that released last month, but the shoe looks better with this blacked out Boost midsole. I still don’t think I would buy a pair though, I prefer the original NMD.

Just like the Solar Red pair, this new colorway of the NMD takes the tonal approach and uses a stretch mesh on the upper in all-black with reflective detailing on the three stripes branding and on the tongue tab. Added details include moulded EVA plugs on the midsole, a molded heel patch, and the a new blacked out Boost midsole.

This brand new Hydration colorway on the adidas D Rose 7 will soon be up for grabs. If you’re the newest Derrick Rose signature but were waiting for a bold take on the shoe, this may be the pair you were looking for. The mesh/Primeknit construction on the upper comes in a Volt-like colorway that gives the shoe a neck-breaking aesthetic. Hits of Black tone it down a bit as they can be found on the molded collar and Three Stripes branding on the toe. Hits of Aqua Green can be found on the laces ad throughout the shoe. Keeping things simple, subtle and tonal, this next collaboration come with a theme of “Human Species” instead of the “Human Race” theme we saw on the Yellow pair. Heads up adidas NMD R1 fans, we’ve got good news and bad news. The good news: a Triple White colorway of the adidas NMD R1 is going to release really soon. The bad news: You may have a hard time picking up a pair because it appears to be a limited release.

It is being reported that the adidas NMD R1 Triple White will drop exclusively at Culture Kings, a renowned Australian retailer. The All-White pair comes with White on the mesh upper, taping, pods, Boost midsole, rubber outsole and the embossed branding on the heel. Breaking up the all-White is the Black branding on the heel pull tab and the Grey branding on the pods and tongue. Two-toned laces tie up the entire look of the shoe together. No word on when these will drop, but expect them to do so in the next coming weeks exclusively at Culture Kings

Just previewed yesterday, today we get an even better look as well as a confirmed release date for the latest collaboration from mastermind Japan and adidas Originals. Sticking to the all-black-sneaker-with-skull-logos motif once gain, mastermind presents two of their most impressive and sure to be coveted models yet: the NMD XR1 and Tubular Instinct. What should easily become one of the most sought after NMD releases so far, mastermind gives the XR1 iteration a stretchy mesh upper with plenty of their skull and crossbones logo, found on the tongue, midfoot, and heel loop with reflective striped laces to finish off the tough look.

Things only get tougher for the Tubular Instinct, presented in a premium black leather upper with a large skull and crossbones on the heel, reflective stripes laces, and an added zipper enclosure at the rear for easier access. It all results in a decidedly biker/punk aesthetic for the lifestyle silhouette.
