Author’s Take
I wouldn’t say I’m a huge fan of glow-in-the-dark sneakers so I’m not too crazy about these kicks. Lots of people are though, so they’ll be excited about this release.
Just yesterday we gave you a first look at the adidas Gazelle GTX City Pack. Being that it was our first look, very little information was known about the shoe and how it came about. Today we have the inspiration behind the pack. Let’s take a closer look.
The adidas Gazelle GTX City Pack takes inspiration from Russian cities, Moscow and St. Petersburg. The first pair (Moscow) takes inspiration from the walls of the Kremlin by coming constructed out of a White leather upper contrasted by the Red placed on the Three Stripes and heel. The second pair (St. Petersburg) comes dressed in a Black nubuck upper accented by the Blue accents meant to represent the Leningrad?s rivers and soccer history that city is proud of. Both pairs will come equipped with a full Gore-Tex construction as a nod to their cold and wet conditions. Set to release globally on October 7th, let us know if you plan on picking up a pair.
England’s own Offspring is giving the adidas NMD a tour of the country with their latest collaborative effort slated to arrive this October. Not too much is known about the premium collaboration outside of the brief preview from the shop’s own Instagram account. It looks like Offspring will be taking a bit of inspiration from the general release of the adidas NMD R1 Primeknit “French Beige” as a similar shade is utilized throughout the upper here. A premium lining showcases cartoonish store fronts and a traditional white Boost midsole holds down the ride. Check out a full preview below and stay tuned for more updates on the coming Offspring adidas NMD collaboration right here on Sneaker News.
Let the NMD madness continue. adidas Originals has dominated the warmer months thanks to the release of the adidas NMD R1, a sleek yet functional lifestyle model inspired by some of the trefoil brand’s most iconic retros including the Boston Super and Micropacer. Now we’ve received word that some of the most popular colorways to release including that adidas NMD R1 Primeknit “French Beige” will be restocking later today at select Foot Locker locations.
The entire trio is known as the adidas NMD R1 Primeknit “City Pack” and featured international accents ranging from Japanese Katakana, French translations, and that premium woven upper for an extra comfortable yet breathable ride. Each pair features “The Brand With The Three Stripes” written in different languages and will be made more available at select Foot Locker locations which you can find by heading over to Foot Locker’s Launch Page. adidas Ultra Boost Glow In The Dark Releases Tomorrow
By SoleInsider
Is glow-in-the-dark still a “hip” detail on shoes? When applied right, it certainly is. adidas’ most popular running shoe of the 21st century is getting the GITD treatment, and paired with the all-terrain ATR construction, these will be even more fitting for outdoor performance. Alongside the Ultra Boost ATR is the adiZero Prime Boost, which features its own glowing hues. Both the adidas Ultra Boost ATR “Glow In The Dark” and adidas adiZero Prime Boost “Glow In The Dark” will release tomorrow, September 28th, in-store at select adidas retailers. A wider release is likely to follow later in the year.
Featured in five tonal iterations, each pair also bears a different theme respectively — scarlet ?Hu / RACE?; black ?HUMAN / SPECIES?; sharp blue ?HUMAN / BEING?; green ?Hu / Hu? and tangerine ?HUE / MAN?.
The defining element is prominent across the upper in an embroidery across the upper, while it also inherits a revamped deconstructed lacing system in contrasting black. Finally, a crisp white boost sole unit and black EVA inserts finish off the design.
You can purchase your favorite pair at select adidas retailers worldwide starting this Thursday, September 29th for $240 each.
I?m biased towards the design and the colorways are pretty appealing in general. This should get a lot attention due to its exclusivity and collaboration.
Joining alongside the women’s Vapour Steel iteration this weekend will the adidas NMD Tech Earth.
A colorway suited for the Fall season, the low-top silhouette is composed of a textile-woven mesh upper and bears the defining brown tone across its entirety. Tonal synthetics such as the three stripe branding, heel badge and EVA inserts further detail the sneaker, as it’s topped off by a clean full-length white boost midsole unit and black continental outsole.
Retailing for $140, you can purchase this pair at select adidas retailers starting this Saturday, October 1st.

I liked the debut yellow/black colorway, but just like that pair, I don’t like the $240 price tag on these. The only colorway I like from these new options is the red pair.

The adidas Gazelle Will Now Come Equipped With Gore-Tex
By SoleInsider
Fall is here and Winter is up next. It’s time to bring out shoes that are better suitable for the season. One model you won’t see many people wear during rainy days is the adidas Gazelle. Reason being, the suede on the shoe will mess up real quick if you do so. With that being the case, adidas decided to switch up the normal construction of the shoe, to make this classic model a viable option for the Winter. Introducing the adidas Gazelle Gore-Tex.
This version of the Gazelle now comes outfitted with a gore-Tex material on the upper, thus making it withstand the rainy weather ahead. As of right now, this version of the Gazelle recently launched this past weekend at the opening of the new adidas Originals Moscow, Russia store. We have no word on when or if this model will arrive stateside. If they do, I just hope it does before it starts pouring.

By SoleInsider
Driven by his humanitarian spirit, Pharrell has been able to reach far and wide with the help of adidas Originals and the upcoming ?Hu? Collection, the first of many that well help shine a spotlight on cultures around the world. Pharrell has never been shy about using his platform for the people. His goal, with adidas, is to empower humans from all walks of life, and it all starts with this first series with the Native American people from MHA Nation in North Dakota. The tribe invited Pharrell into their community to give him a first-hand experience of their unique culture and traditions; from there, he and adidas transferred the bold colors and hues into the 19-piece collection.
All five colorways of the ?Hu? NMDs will release on September 29th with an MSRP of $240. They will be available on adidas.com, BBC in-store (NYC, London, Tokyo), adidas Originals stores (NYC, Shanghai, Tokyo, Seoul, Milan, London, Berlin, Mexico City), adidas No. 74 Berlin, adidas No. 42 Paris, and select retailers worldwide. Now it looks like Huang is making a move to the three stripes in a since deleted adidas Originals tweet that showcased the above pair of slides for an upcoming release. There isn’t too much information about the Eddie Huang adidas collab, but we’ll keep you updated right here on Sneaker News.
