In a few days we’ll be seeing the return of a true classic with the release of the Air Jordan 5 OG 90 Black/Metallic Silver.

Having originally released back in 1990, this OG colorway of the Air Jordan 5 is one of the most popular and celebrated sneakers of all-time. This Air Jordan 5 starts off with a Black nubuck upper and it then hit with Fire Red detailing on the branding on the tongue and the lace locks. Metallic Silver then appears on the shark teeth on the midsole as well as on the 3M tongue. Other details include the clear mesh netting on the side panels, Nike Air on the heels, and an icy blue translucent outsole.

The quality on this Air Jordan 5 doesn?t even look all that great so I don?t think that $220 price tag is justifiable. I?ve always wanted this colorway of the Air Jordan 5, but I?ll have to pass on these.

Jordan Brand released the short clip that you see above which shows Russell Westbrook talking about the return of this highly coveted colorway of the Air Jordan 1. In the video he appears to be holding the Air Jordan 1 Banned from 2011 in his hands, but it’s not 100% clear. This classic colorway of the Air Jordan 5 will be making its way towards store shelves once again in the next couple of days, as additional imagery of the forthcoming silhouette are provided.

Sporting a versatile and understated build, black comprises its majority, which consists of the nubuck upper and midsole unit. Pronouncing the stealthy makeup are hits of grey implemented on the signature netting and reflective tongue, while shimmering silver accents are prominent on the shark teeth-inspired component on the midsole, which also incorporates subtle Black speckling. After a historic 20-year career in the NBA, this forthcoming variation of the classic Air Jordan 9 is essentially a tribute to Kobe Bryant.

Shaded in the Los Angeles Lakers?s signature tones, white leather is utilized for its upper, while purple adorns the patent leather overlays that encompasses the midsole unit, throughout the rear and flows along its collar section to solidify its dominant two-tone palette.

Following Jordan Brand’s recent image of Team USA yesterday, which unveiled the new Air Jordan 31 on Carmelo Anthony and Jimmy Butler, the forthcoming model is given a closer look, as it’s showcased on the feet of Chicago Bulls’ star guard, Jimmy Butler once again.

Dressed in a USA-themed colorway that correlates with the upcoming 2016 Summer Games in Rio, the basketball sneaker’s distinctive aesthetic takes cues from the iconic AJ 1 with a refined woven upper and the addition of Swooshes across its side panels. Andres Carrillo, News: I wouldn’t say I’m a fan of the Air Jordan 9 since I don’t own any pairs, but I think this one of the better colorways in existence. You can’t go wrong with a classic Chicago/Bulls colorway. I don’t plan on picking up a pair unless I can get it for well below retail.

Jordan Brand’s Remastering process continues with the release of the latest ‘Nike Air’ wielding Air Jordan 5 retro. The legendary Jordan 5 Black Metallic is back in a way almost identical to the way Tinker Hatfield designed them all the way back in 1990. The upper consists of a higher quality Durabuck material in jet black while the visible air unit is pre-aged with a yellowish tint. The 3M tongue returns but the real highlight here is the white ‘Nike Air’ branding on the heel replacing the Jumpman logo that took over dating back to the early 2000s. Could this really be happening?

In a couple of months we’re expected to see the Air Jordan 1 High OG Bred make a return during Labor Day weekend. Now it appears that there may be a possibility that we see another classic Air Jordan 1 also return this year.

The original Black Toe colorway of the Air Jordan 1 is rumored to be releasing later this year with the early images above serving as proof. This Air Jordan 1 features a combination of white, black, and red along with the OG Nike Air branding on the tongue. There has been no confirmation yet, but stay tuned to Kicks On Fire for updates.

Anthony Hamilton is on a roll. After giving us a look at exclusive brown/gum colorways of the Air Jordan 3 and Air Jordan 5 the last two weeks, this week the r&b singer now showcases an Air Jordan 1.

Just like the previous two pairs of retros, this colorway of the Air Jordan 1 High also features a brown/gum combination. Brown leather dominates the upper while white accents appear on the Wings branding by the ankle and the Nike Air on the tongue. A white midsole and gum outsole complete the look on this pair of Jordan 1s. According to Hamilton, Jordan Brand sent him pairs of the Air Jordan 1-30 all in this same look, so we’ll probably continue seeing these exclusives in the near future.
