Author’s Take

I’ll always be a fan of the silhouette. I like the tonal look, but, I’m not really into the overall build. It’s a versatile pair though.

In celebration of the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, a special edition Air Jordan 5 will be offered to commemorate the international sporting event.

Evoking the spirit of champions and essentially the first-place medals given in the award ceremonies, the basketball sneaker’s defining element is evident with metallic gold gracing the tongue, lace lock and the shark tooth-inspired component across its midsole unit. Dressed predominantly in white leather, the sneaker’s remainder is finished off with tonal black on the midsole unit and inner lining, alongside an icy translucent outsole.

You can purchase this pair at select Nike and JB retailers on August 13th for a price tag of $190.

I?m a fan of the silhouette in general. I really like the execution on this pair. I?m biased towards the clean upper and how the gold accents are subtle.

The Air Jordan 7 Tinker Alternate Celebrates The Summer Olympics

Air Jordan 7 5 Air Jordan 7 6 Air Jordan 7 Air Jordan 7 1 Air Jordan 7 2 Air Jordan 7 3 Air Jordan 7 4

The Air Jordan 7 Tinker Alternate looks to commemorate the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio, as the model is essentially inspired by the original Olympic 7s that first debuted in Barcelona, Spain during the 1992 Summer Olympics.

Flaunting a patriotic palette, pristine white comprises the majority of its leather upper, while navy-colored nubuck is implemented on the underlays, in addition to more applied across its ankle portion and outsole. Capping off the USA-inspired theme are bright pops of red gracing the midsole unit, the heel and inner lining.

Finished off with metallic gold accents on the tongue label and jumpman logo, look for this pair at select JB and Nike stockists as early as August 6th, with more to arrive on August 16th for a price tag of $190.

Author’s Take

I like the original version better. The colorway is still appealing, but I prefer the all-white upper instead. It should still get a lot of attention none the less.

Chris Pauls Wears An Exclusive Air Jordan 11 Clippers PE

Air Jordan 11 Air Jordan 11 1

Jordan Brand advocate and Los Angeles Clippers’ star guard, Chris Paul, recently attended the AAU team?s Championship Game wearing another exclusive Air Jordan 11.

Consisting as a player’s exclusive, the model essentially coordinates with the Clippers’ signature colorways. Textured leather and the distinctive patent leather overlay across its mudguard are focused in red, while the respective theme is topped off with blue accents on the logo and number on the heel.

Unfortunately, this model may never see a public release, although, stay tuned to KicksOnFire for further updates.

I would purchase if it did release. I’m biased towards the silhouette and tonal colorway.

Andres Carrillo, News: I just picked up my first pair of 11 Lows with the Navy Gum pair. I’m thinking I may have to cop 2 pairs in the same year. The fact that these are leather on the upper is dope.

As you probably know already, Jordan Brand has decided that they’ll be bringing the Air Jordan 3 out of the vault in 2016 as we’re expected to see at least two different colorways release. One will be the all-black Cyber Monday pair and the other will be the return of the OG True Blue colorway.

This Air Jordan 3 features a White leather upper with True Blue and Fire Red accents on the inner liner, eyelets, midsole, and the Jumpman logo on the tongue and the Nike Air branding on the heel. The signature elephant print in Cement Grey can also be seen on the heel, toe, and eyestay.

Author’s Take

I would have pulled the trigger on these if they were the White Cement or Black Cement colorways, but I just don’t feel the need to spend $220 on the True Blue colorway.

Author’s Take

The quilted upper on this Air Jordan 1 KO is something different, but I’m still not a fan of the canvas constructed design. I expect these to sit on shelves for quite some time.

The ideal time to wear low top sneakers is the Summer which is why it should be no surprise to see Jordan Brand release new colorways of the Air Jordan 1 Low. Even though most people tend to bash on the lows and show all the love the highs, there’s still lots of sneakerheads out there that love them a nice pair of Jordan 1 Lows.

One of the latest colorways that is beginning to hit retailers is this Black, Gym Red and Wolf Grey pair that we see above. The majority of the shoe is done in Black nubuck while Wolf Grey leather lands on the toebox, Swoosh branding, and the outsole. Gym Red appears on the Jumpman branding on the tongue while a White midsole adds a bit more contrast.

Cop your pair now from select Jumpman retailers for $100.

Author’s Take

Not a bad looking Air Jordan 1 Low. I think the Jumpman on the tongue should have also been done in grey to keep things two toned.

Author’s Take

Based off of these pictures I have to say that I’m disappointed. I expected more. The perforations on the toe are not a good look on this shoe. As of now I can say that I’ll be easily passing on this release.

The Air Jordan 5 OG Remastered Releases Tomorrow

The wait is finally over. Tomorrow, July 23rd, Jordan Brand is bringing back the iconic Air Jordan 5 Black Metallic with enough original details through the remastering process to be nearly identical to Tinker Hatfield’s creation from 1990. An updated Durabuck upper contrasts a smoother reflective 3M tongue while Fire Red accents work wonderfully with a pre-aged yellow visible air unit. Of course, the main attraction here is the original white ‘Nike Air’ stitching found on the heel which continues the Jumpman’s return to the Swoosh branding that’s been a major asset since late last year. With that remastering process comes an increase of price – retail before tax will be $220 USD. Is it worth it? Check out more detailed photos below and if you don’t want to wait in line for this Air Jordan 5 retro offering, know that you can find select sizes right now on eBay.

I’m biased towards the silhouette and I really like this revamped makeup. It has more lifestyle appeal, plus offering more warmth in the colder months. You can’t go wrong with the colorway.
