The Air Jordan 5 Take Flight Lands Next Weekend

This forthcoming variation of the Air Jordan 5 is part of Jordan Brand’s Take Flight Spring 2017 lineup, which also includes the recently released AJ 15 Stealth and AJ 8 Sequoia.

Elevated with more lifestyle appeal, the model is defined by a more premium material construction, with its aesthetic takes cues inspired from the classic P51 flight bomber jacket. Evoking military flair, sequoia green simply drapes the sneaker?s sleek leather upper, while a notable highlight consists of the traditional mesh netting on the sides panels being more refined in a minimalist finish. Tan leather tongues further adds luxe appeal and complements its overall profile.

Topped off with an icy translucent outsole, you can purchase this pair at select JB and Nike stockists starting February 11, 2017 for $400.

You Already Know Dez Bryant Had To Have Exclusive Air Jordan Cleats For The Pro Bowl

Although he’d much rather be playing next Sunday, Dez Bryant will make the most of it and get to work today and he looks to lead his team to a Pro Bowl victory in Orlando. Being that he’s a Jordan Brand athlete, you knew it was only right for him to bust out some exclusive footwear, one cleat for practice and the other for the actual game.

Above you will see his practice cleat which is an Air Jordan 9 Low cleat done in an all-White fashion. While the actual in-game Air Jordan 6 Low which he will wear during today’s game comes in bolder fashion as the Blue on the cleat matches the color of the jerseys the NFC team will be wearing. It may be hard to tell, but the Jordan 6 Low cleat appears to come with a tonal elephant print placed all over the upper. Another cool feature is Bryant’s number ’88’ embroidered on the heels. See the cleat in action today at 8 p.m. EST on ESPN.

This Subtle Air Jordan 1 Mid GS Comes With Just Enough Pop To Make It Work

Sometimes a little bit goes a long way. Take for example the Air Jordan 1 Mid GS Hyper Jade. Instead of covering the entire upper in a Hyper Jade hue, Jordan Brand opts to take the more subtle route and only use the bold colorway as a way to accent the sneaker. This grade-school exclusive colorway of the Jordan 1 Mid rocks a White leather upper paired up with hits of Black on the lining, outsole and Nike Swoosh. In an effort to make the shoe stand out from past releases, the Jordan 1 Mid also comes with Hyper Jade hits noted on the tongue tag and the outline of the Wings logo on the ankle. Are you a fan of this look? If so, look for the Air Jordan 1 Mid GS Hyper Jade to begin releasing in the near future.

Mark Smith Owns This Exclusive Air Jordan 4 Laser And We Dont

We’ve all seen Air Jordan 4 Lasers before, right? Well, not quite like this. Nike designer Mark Smith wore these uber-exclusive Air Jordan 4 Lasers at last night’s Fodera Guitars event at Industry City Brooklyn.

Although it does rock the usual Fire Red colorway, it’s the actual laser engraving that differentiates it from the pairs some of us own. If you take a good look at the images above you will see that the laser pattern appears to be done in a deeper fashion, resulting in a more neck-breaking design. It’s being said that the new look of the shoe was actually created by Mark Smith himself. The source who shared the image also notes that only three pairs of this model exist. Mark Smith owns one pair, while Nike CEO Mark Parker and Michael Jordan own the other two. Enjoy this image because this is probably the closest we will ever see them in person.

Air Jordan 1 Mid Hyper Jade Releasing For Kids

Is Jordan Brand hinting at their coming “Atmos” Pack with Nike Sportswear through subtle references in their grade school catalog? Only time will tell, but the use of the “Atmos” themed Hyper Jade shade has been rather prevalent for boys and girls retro releases lately.

We’ve seen the look on the Air Jordan 3, the Air Jordan 6, and now this Air Jordan 1 Mid Hyper Jade, available at select international retailers and headed to stateside stores in the near future. The white leather base definitely matches the aforementioned AJ6 more than other teal-featuring retro releases, and this pair even features an enticing option on the classic ‘Wings’ branding, as the high-contrast black features an outline in Hyper Jade.

What do you think of the coming Air Jordan 1 Mid Hyper Jade for boys and girls? Check out more photos below and stay tuned for more release information in the future right here on Sneaker News.

The Air Jordan 1 All-Star Features A Chameleon Inspired Upper

The NBA All-Star starters have been announced and the reserve selections were unveiled last night. While plenty people are arguing and lamenting over potential snubs, there was no denying some of Jordan Brand’s top athletes, as Kawhi Leonard will start for the Western Conference, and triple-double machine Russell Westbrook will come off the bench, each presumably wearing special edition Air Jordan 31 “All-Star” pairs. So what else does Jordan Brand have in store for the star-studded weekend in New Orleans? Today we get a look at the Air Jordan 1 All-Star, a pair featuring chameleon-inspired iridescent panels in a “Black Toe” color-blocking for the perfect combination of both old and new.

The Air Jordan 1 “All-Star” 2017 features a remastered upper complete with ‘Nike Air’ branding on the tongue, an icy outsole for an added twist, with shades of teal, purple, and blue changing depending on where the light hits throughout. We’ve already seen the Air Jordan 6 “All-Star” featuring similar iridescent qualities, so how does the Air Jordan 1 All-Star stack up by comparison? It’s worth noting that the colors seen throughout Jordan Brand’s 2017 All-Star Collection are heavily influenced by the Charlotte Hornets, the team that would be hosting this year’s All-Star festivities before the NBA moved the location due to some political issues regarding anti-LGBT legislation.

The Air Jordan 1 All-Star Chameleon 2017 will release on February 19th, 2017 for $160 USD. Check out a full preview below and stay tuned for more Air Jordan Release Dates right here on Sneaker News.

Taking The New Jordan B. Fly For A Test Drive With Michael Kidd-Gilchrist

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist has one of the most unique games in the NBA. Sure, the emphasis might be on his head-scratchingly strange jump shot form, but the second overall selection in the 2012 NBA Draft has earned the reputation of one of the NBA’s best wing defenders through his athleticism, lateral quickness, and length. It’s no surprise that Michael Jordan saw something in the former Kentucky Wildcat, and today MKG doubles as a Jordan Brand athlete who inspires the next wave of performance basketball footwear like the recently released Jordan B. Fly.

I was lucky enough to get the invite to Jordan Brand’s Terminal 23 location in mid-town Manhattan last night to give the Jordan B Fly a test-drive with the help of the Charlotte Hornets’ Kidd-Gilchrist. He honed his skills in New Jersey playing alongside Kyrie Irving at St. Patrick High School, so it’s no mystery as to how he became such a fierce defender given the fact he was going against one of the NBA’s premier offensive talents every day in practice.

What drew MKG to the model was how incredibly lightweight the B Fly is, and that’s the first thing I noticed when slipping the pair on. The simple construction boasts the popular asymmetrical lacing system found in a number of performance hoops shoes today while a seamless knit upper is flexible enough to adjust with the natural motion of your foot. Inspirations range from the Air Jordan 11 on the outsole and the Air Jordan 14 on the heel, but with the woven construction found throughout, the Jordan B Fly takes on a life of its own.

Perhaps the most interesting feature of the silhouette is the updated outsole with weird circular grooves raised higher than normal to interrupt the traction pattern. When paired with the Nike Zoom Air unit in the forefoot and the injected Phylon midsole, the Jordan B Fly boasts an incredibly lightweight ride with just enough cushioning to glide around the court and stop on a dime. If you’re looking for an affordable pair of performance basketball sneakers with a stylish twist, then take the B Fly for a spin. You’ll be surprised by how lightweight and comfortable the offering is all for just $110 USD. Find the Jordan B. Fly in 5 colorways on Nike.com today.
