Three Colorways Of The PSNY x Air Jordan 12 Are Releasing In June

PSNY’s Air Jordan 12 collaboration is returning in a big way this Summer. The NY-bred designers gave the basketball shoe a heavy upgrade, wrapping the entire silhouette in a rich suede material in eye-catching tonal colors. We already showed you a detailed look at the “Wheat” pair and just yesterday a quick unboxing of the “Bordeaux” version made news. We can confirm that three colorways (yes, three) in total of the PSNY x Air Jordan 12 are dropping in June, with each of the three colorways being exclusive to certain cities.

For now, check out a detailed look at the Wheat colorway.

Almost Every Original Air Jordan From The Tinker Era Has Retroed

With the Air Jordan 13 Low “Brave Blue” colorway releasing in a few weekends and the “Chutney” colorway to follow, there number of Air Jordans from the Tinker Era (Air Jordan III-XV) that have yet to Retro is insanely small. Jordan Brand has pretty much re-issued every Air Jordan from its original run, with the lone exceptions being the Air Jordan 10 “City Pack” and a few of the low-top Air Jordan 14s.

The Air Jordan 13 Low “Brave Blue” is set to arrive at Jordan retailers such as FICE gallery on April 8th.

Jordan Ultra Fly 2 Releasing In Royal

In need of a new hoops shoe this summer? You might want to consider the coming Jordan Ultra Fly 2 based on its unique Air Jordan 15 retro-inspired design, the bold traction pattern hidden underneath, and Nike’s Zoom Air in the midsole. By the looks of things, you’d never guess that it was related to its alien-like precursor in the original Jordan Ultra Fly, and we’re definitely happy that the brand took things an entirely different route and ditched the Kurim overlay system.

This silhouette might not be for everyone, but we’re definitely fans of Jordan Brand experimenting with new aesthetics when it comes to their performance models. The tongue that juts out is reminiscent of the Jordan 15 that just saw a recent retro itself (with its own controversy given the lack of Zoom Air in the forefoot despite what was advertised on Nike.com) while the woven pattern seen on the first all-white colorway is a bit camouflaged based on the Jordan 1 Royal inspiration here.

Check out more detailed shots of the retro-inspired Jordan Ultra Fly 2 below and be on the lookout for this model to debut on Nike.com come April 2017.

Official Images Of The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Royal

Official photos of the Jordan 1 Royal are finally in. It’s hard to believe that it’s already been four years since we last saw this iconic colorway hit retailers, but if the Banned 1s proved anything, it’s that Jordan Brand can upgrade the retro quality and release Mike’s first silhouette in a completely different shape that’s truer to the actual 1985 release.

Right off the bat, you can notice that the Royal 1s sport that updated tumbled leather throughout while a white insole dons royal ‘Nike Air’ branding to match the tongue tag. A clean white midsole allows for the Black and Varsity Royal accents to perfectly match for a revitalized look of a shoe that’s on nearly everyone’s grail list. It’s not if you plan on grabbing a pair of the Air Jordan 1 Royal, but how. We still don’t know how limited the retro will be when it arrives at retailers on April 1st, 2017 for $160 USD, but stay tuned for more updates right here on Sneaker News.

In the meantime, check out more of Nike’s official imagery below and stay up to date on all of the coming Jordan Release Dates.

Chris Paul Sports Another Air Jordan 11 PE

jordan-11-clippers-pe-blue-white-red

Chris Paul is the NBA’s longest-tenured point God. Sure, the focus may be on guys like Russell Westbrook, Steph Curry, Kyrie Irving, John Wall, Damian Lillard, and now even James Harden, but CP3 is one of the greatest to ever run the one. He also might have the most astounding collection of Jordan 11 PEs we’ve seen from a Jordan Brand player as he’s even forgone his own signature collection to rock the patent leather gem on-court in Clippers colorways on occasion. Today we get a heavily watermarked preview from Instagram user hollywoodcold85 that showcases the ’23’ PE branding still intact on the heel while royal blue patent leather matches the lining. What do you think of CP3’s latest Jordan 11 Clippers PE? Hopefully we get a better look at these on-court in the future.

Chris Paul Once Again Brings Out This Air Jordan 11 PE Sporting His Teams Colors

It had been a cool minute since Chris Paul was seen wearing this Air Jordan 11 PE. As a matter of fact, the last time we caught him wearing these bad boys was way back in the preseason. This time around we get a better look at the shoe and we can now confirm that this is an Air Jordan 11 PE rocking his team’s colors.

Rocking a White mesh upper, the Jordan 11 Chris Paul PE is then given hits of Blue noted on the leather mudguard and heel region, while the Red accents take care of the branding. It’s a very subtle color scheme, but it works effortlessly, right? Although Chris Paul only wore these to warm up in, it’s still pretty dope to see the kind of heat Chris Paul brings out every now and then. I don’t even have to ask, but I will any way. How many of you would pick up a pair of these if Jordan Brand ever decided to release them?

Sporing the classic Metallic Red finish, it complements the Metallic Navy pair that dropped this past June 2016, and this forthcoming variation will also be its first retro. Staying true to its original design, this model is essentially a remastered take, as classic Nike Air branding will be applied on the tongue and not feature a Jumpman on the heel.

How Michael Jordan Built The Jordan Motorsports Racing Team

A lifelong fan of motorsports, Michael Jordan actually had to agree to stop riding a motorcycle when he signed his first NBA contract. (Perhaps that explains the years of driving Ferraris.) While not on the bike himself, his passion remained throughout the years, and in 2004 it all became official with the founding of his own motorcycle team. Linking up with veteran racing team manager Pete Mauhar, Michael Jordan created the Jordan Motorsports team, quickly collecting a team of riders in about five weeks?a task that would normally take about a year?to compete in 2004’s Daytona race.

When the team rolled into Daytona to compete, Jordan Motorsports hadn’t even been officially announced yet. But the racing world took note thanks to the slick motorcycle suits and bike designs by Nike’s Mark Smith, who successfully scrambled to outfit the team after MJ tasked him with designing their aesthetic in those few short weeks.

Being a Jordan racing team, there was one more important piece of gear the racers would need: sneakers, of course. Adding footwear to the racing kits was obviously a natural move for Mark Smith, longtime collaborator with Tinker Hatfield and Jordan himself. Smith helped design a number of Air Jordan retro colorways exclusively for the team, and that’s where shoes like the coveted Air Jordan 6 “Motorsports” were born. Another one of the most legendary and shoes designed for the team was the Air Jordan 4 in white, black, and royal, which hits retail for the first time ever this weekend on Saturday, March 25th.

Check out the bike, suit, and helmet designs throughout the years here, and for the full story on the history of the Jordan Motorsports team, visit the official Air Jordan Blog.

Will The Air Jordan 1 Royal Be A Bigger Release Than The Banned

Just how limited will the Air Jordan 1 “Royal” retro be when it arrives on April 1st? When the Banned 1s rolled out on September 3rd, 2016, Jordan Brand had already spent a ton of time and effort telling the story of the coveted retro and even created a Banned Pop-Up location at 108 Wooster Street in New York City. The Jumpman has been much quieter in regards to the return of the Royal 1s though, so does that mean that the production numbers will be even lower for the lifestyle colorway of the 1985 classic? We’ll just have to wait and see. In the meantime, check out more detailed shots of the Jordan 1 Royal below courtesy of Concepts, and stay tuned for more Jordan Release Date updates right here on Sneaker News.

The Month Of April Brings The Return Of The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Royal

The time is almost here. The return of the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Royal is fast approaching. Just like the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Bred that dropped late year, don’t expect this Jordan 1 release to be an easy cop. Considered one of the most classic colorways the Air Jordan 1 High has ever donned, this drop definitely falls under the must-cop category.

Done in remastered fashion, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Royal comes in an all-leather upper done in a Royal Blue and Black color scheme. The leather texture/quality appears to mimic that of the Bred pairs, which or may not be to your preference. Done in OG fashion, these Jordan 1s come with Nike air branding on the tongue and insoles, all while sitting on top of a White midsole and Royal outsole. April 1st. $160. This potential cop should need no convincing, try your best to get a pair. You’ll thank me later.
