The KAWS x Air Jordan 4 Is Releasing Soon

The KAWS x Air Jordan 4 is certainly one of the most highlighted releases so far in early 2017.

While the model strays from KAWS’ more popular abstract and vibrant aesthetic, the iconic sneaker is remixed in a monochromatic finish of cool grey instead for timeless appeal.

Textured and smooth suede comprises its composition, which also reveals a distinctive pattern on the upper. Other notable elements consist of a matching KAWS hang-tag, branded ?xx? heel tabs that replace the traditional Jumpman, graphic-printed leather insoles and translucent glow-in-the-dark outsoles that incorporate signature KAWS graphics.

Extremely limited in quantity, the silhouette is set to debut in China first tomorrow, March 28, while worldwide availability is scheduled on Friday, March 31.

Retail price is listed at $350.

Notable details consist of its traditional TPU netted paneling replaced with a distinctive weave pattern, while premium leather tongues, inner lining, gold lace tips and the Jumpman logo are seen on the insoles, as well as on the outsole.

Is A Trophy Room x Air Jordan XX9 In The Works

trophy-room-air-jordan-29-preview

Marcus Jordan’s Trophy Room boutique has a whole lot to look forward to in the coming days, as they’ve announced a coming collaborative effort with BAPE sure to please hypebeasts everywhere. And while we doubt that we’ll see A Bathing Ape’s signature camouflage print on any Air Jordan retros, it does look like more Trophy Room collaborations could be coming from Michael Jordan’s son like this Trophy Room Air Jordan 29. The sample pair was tweeted out not too long ago and showcases an all white woven construction of the Jordan XX9 with Jumpman branding ditched for the Trophy Room logo on the side panel. This pair would go right in line with other Trophy Room collaborations, as they’ve had a fairly random rotation of silhouettes ranging from the Jordan 23, the Jordan 16, and even the Jordan Eclipse lifestyle model. Stay tuned for more updates in the near future right here on Sneaker News and see what’s coming from the Jumpman by heading to our Jordan Release Dates page.

The Air Jordan Flight Guy Collection Is Inspired Photographer Chuck Kuhn

On the week that will lead up to the return of the Air Jordan 1 Royal, Nike has unveiled the background story/inspiration behind this highly anticipated pair of kicks.

Here’s how the story goes according to Nike.

On a cold, crisp morning in 1985, famed sports photographer Chuck Kuhn stepped onto a remote Oregon airstrip to shoot a rising basketball star — Michael Jordan. Rather than wear his team?s iconic red and black, Jordan chose his personal favorite colors: royal blue and black. The shoe he wore that day, the Air Jordan I black/royal, was the first AJ I offered for purchase to the public. The portrait became an iconic poster, coined the Flight Guy ? its image etched in street and sport style memory.

To commemorate this iconic moment, Jordan Brand launches the Flight Guy Collection this summer. Highlighted by the Air Jordan 1 and Air Jordan 31, the collection connects an iconic moment to modern innovation while paying tribute to the way legends surprise us? often out of the blue.

Look for both pairs to release on April 1st, $160 for the Jordan 1 and $185 for the Jordan 31.
