Initial Look At The Air Jordan 4 Linen (2017)

Just reported yesterday of its upcoming return this year, a first full look at the 2017 Air Jordan 4 Linen/Sand is now unveiled.

Introduced back in 2006, the sneaker is noted to be a women’s exclusive, and it’s suggested to remain that way this year as well.

Staying true to its OG counterpart, white tumbled leather is utilized for its upper, while the defining linen/sand tone is implemented throughout for a solid two-tone finish. In addition, pops of dull blue are evident on the branded tongue.

Priced at $140, the sneaker is scheduled to debut at select JB and Nike accounts sometime this Summer or Fall 2017.

Stay tuned to KicksOnFire for further updates.

Get Ready For The Air Jordan 4 Motorsport

While it was first offered exclusively in New Orleans during the NBA All-Star festivities in February, the general release of the Air Jordan 4 Motorsport is set for this weekend.

Punctuated by its defining royal blue theme throughout, which essentially commemorates MJ?s Motorsports team, the sneaker is comprised of premium white leather with black accents. A notably absent detail is the Mars Blackmon branding across its heel, while a full-length sole unit in its respective theme caps off the profile.

Priced at $190 (adult) and $130 (GS), you can buy a pair at select JB and Nike retailers starting this Saturday, March 25th.

Russell Westbrook Showcases His Jordan Westbrook 0.2 Why Not PE

Last night, Russell Westbrook showcased his exclusive Jordan Westbrook 0.2 Why Not PE, prior to the Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Golden State Warriors match — Golden State won (111 – 95).

The lifestyle-inclined silhouette is rendered in its most dynamic take yet, as the sneaker’s black leather upper is punctuated with cutout magazine letters that reads, ?WHY NOT? and ?RUSSELL? along each side of the shoe. Finally, a white rubber sole unit caps off the vivid player exclusive profile altogether.

Although you won’t be able to purchase this pair, a denim rendition of the silhouette just released.

A New White And Pink Air Jordan 5

There’s already a good amount of new Air Jordan 5 colorways set to release this year and we can now add another to the list.

This Air Jordan 5 features what looks like a white leather upper with black accents on the midsole, mesh netting on the side panels, laces, inner liner, and part of the outsole. Pink detailing on the tongue, midsole, and the Jumpman on the icy blue translucent outsole complete the look. There’s no word on whether this is a GS-exclusive colorway yet, but the hits of pink make it very likely. Stay tuned to Kicks On Fire for more images and a release date.

See What BSTN Did To Their Store For The Release Of The Atmos x Air Jordan 3 x Air Max 1 Pack

We’re not even one-fourth into the new year, but I can guarantee you that the Atmos x Air Jordan 3 x Air Max 1 Pack that dropped this weekend will go down as one of the biggest releases of the year. The two-pair pack was a highly coveted release despite the hefty $400 price tag. Everyone wanted a pair of this limited release, but very few stores had the privilege of carrying the pack. One of those stores was Germany’s very own BSTN.

Being that BSTN was one of the few select stores who had the Atmos x Air Jordan 3 x Air Max 1 Pack, they took full advantage of that by remodeling their entire store to match the theme of the release. Before you even step foot into their store, you are greeted with a newly decorated storefront that’s covered in an elephant print backdrop with Jade Nike Swoosh branding placed front center. Once you step foot inside the store you will find decor, store apparel and displays that match up perfectly with the Atmos x Air Jordan 3 x Air Max 1 Pack. It was definitely the place to be in Germany this past Saturday night. Get a good look at the BSTN store release party above and let us know if you were also one of the lucky ones to get your hands on a pack.

Official Images Of The Upcoming Jordan Six Rings Colorways

As most of you know by now, the Jordan Six Rings will be making a return later on this Spring season.  Above you will find the official images of some of the colorways scheduled to release. Helping the hybrid Jordan model make a return is a White and Blue pair, a Cool Grey and White pair, a Black and White pair and a Black, White and Red pair. It’s good to see these colorway on the Jordan Six Rings since they all rock classic themes we’re used to seeing on retros. Much better than the wild Neon/Puple/Volt color schemes we’ve seen in the past. Now that you know which colorways are dropping, are you looking forward to picking up a pair? Stay tuned for an official release date.

KoF Live: When You See The Air Jordan 4 Motorsport A Month Before Release

Here’s a understatement if there ever was one: NBA All-Star Weekend is a blur. Between all the events and parties that goes on during the league’s most high-profile week, there’s a chance media members won’t remember exactly everything they did during those four days. Case in point, even though I was there for maybe 40% of the total time of the weekend, I had forgotten about (redacted) and (Oh God, I can never tell this story), not to mention (uh… moving along…) until I checked my phone a few days ago. Maybe try not to have too much fun, I guess.

Anyways, a story I can tell and probably won’t get me trouble was the early availability of the Air Jordan 4 Motorsport 2017 retro at Jordan Brand’s pop-up shop in New Orleans and my constant back and forth on whether I should buy it or not. I mean, it was right there for the taking. I even took a few GIFs of the kicks for the sake of our readers that weren’t posted until now.

Not that this should comes as a surprise, but Jordan Brand was one of the hottest spots to be at if you were looking for kicks that weekend. Alongside the All-Star collection, sneakerheads could also cop restocks of the Air Jordan 1 Top 3, Air Jordan 12 Deep Royal Blue, and the Trophy Room x Air Jordan 16 among others. The Air Jordan 4 Motorsport was one of the handful of sneakers that were available ahead of their general release and it was very tempting.

So what held me back from actually buying a pair? Well, it was a combination of space (I’m stuffing as many kicks I can in my bags and I was already full) and money (didn’t want to use some of my cash on a pair I can cop a few weeks later) that kept me from bringing them home. Unfortunately, I saved up my money for nothing because a pair I would have bought had I been at the shop on time, the exclusive Air Jordan 31 gold, was gone in mere minutes.

First Look: Air Jordan 2 Alumni

Get a first look at the Air Jordan 2 Alumni. So what’s this new colorway of the Air Jordan 2 all about and what’s up with the date on the heel? Well, this colorway of the Air Jordan 2 actually pays tribute to the North Carolina vs. UCLA Alumni game that took place on June 28th, 1987 (date on heel of shoe) at Pauley Pavilion.

During this point in time, Jordan had just completed his 3rd season in the NBA with the Chicago Bulls but still took time to represent his alma mater on the hardwood one more time. The Air Jordan 2 comes with a leather upper, dressed in a White, Black, Red and University Blue color scheme that represents both the Chicago Bulls and North Carolina Tar Heels. Most of the shoe comes in a Bulls theme, while the North Carolina vibes can be found on the heel region, which also house the ?MJ? and ?6/28/87? branding as a nod to the date the game was played.

No release info has been provided yet, but once these do end up dropping, are you looking to get a pair?

First Look: Air Jordan 1 Mid Metallic Silver

Judging by the placement of the lace holes, the shoe appears to be an Air Jordan 1 Mid. With that being said, here’s a first look at the Air Jordan 1 Mid Metallic Silver.

No word yet on when/if these will drop but I can already tell that the number one complaint on this shoe is going to be why they weren’t Highs. Regardless, it’s a dope color scheme on a Mid or High. A White leather takes care of the base, while the Metallic Silver hits can be found on the Nike Swoosh, Wings branding and ankle region. A White sole unit and White laces complete the look. Would you like to see these released even if they end up being Mid? Stay tuned as more info is sure to follow.

Upcoming Air Jordan 2 Remembers The Legendary UNC vs. UCLA Alumni Game

air-jordan-2-unc-ucla-alumni-game-1

March Madness is now down to just the Sweet 16, and both UNC and UCLA remain. The two historic college basketball franchises hang multiple banners in their rafters and have some of the most legendary alumni rosters the game of basketball can offer, but did you know that the two schools squared off in an alumni game featuring Michael Jordan back in 1987? Legendary coaches Dean Smith and John Wooden patrolled the sidelines for the charity event at Pauley Pavilion and a tight matchup went in favor of the Tar Heels thanks to the performance of a young Michael Jordan. You can even catch the entire game on Youtube.

Now Jordan Brand is honoring the off-season alumni game with a brand new Jordan 2 that bridges the gap between MJ’s first few seasons in the league and his time as a Tar Heel. The colorway features a white base, Chicago accents of black and red throughout, and a light blue heel panel in honor of his UNC ties. Now’s the perfect time to drop the Jordan 2 UNC Alumni given the current bracket positions, but we’ll keep you updated on an official drop date via our Jordan Release Dates page. Catch a first preview below and stay tuned for more right here on Sneaker News.
