The adidas NMD Clear Brown Restocked Today, Did You Get A Pair
By SoleInsider
Over the past several weeks, several different colorways of the adidas NMD have restocked. The latest one to do so is the adidas NMD Clear Brown. This colorway made its debut a while back as a part of the big adidas NMD release day in which lots of colorways dropped on the same day.
Considered to be a women’s colorway, the adidas NMD comes in a tonal Clear Brown upper done in a neoprene and mesh construction. The only part of the shoe that contrasts the upper are the orange hits placed on the heel tab and the white Boost-infused sole unit. Available now at select retailers such as Oneness, pick up your pair for $140.
The adidas Oddity Series Gets Luxurious With The EQT Support
By SoleInsider
Switching from an array of bright, mismatched colors to a blend of multiple textures, the adidas “Oddity” series goes luxurious in it latest iteration. One of the luxuriously-odd models dropping this spring is the EQT Support that you see here, featuring a subtly wild construction in various textures including cream snakeskin, white python, and crackled, suede, and full-grain leathers. The EQT Support “Luxe Oddity” is arriving now at select adidas originals retailers like Oneness.
It’s no question that Kanye West has been very influential on the growth of adidas in the United States, since his abrupt departure from Nike back in 2013.
Sales of his footwear in particular have been heavily-sought after and his presence with the brand has clearly persuaded the public to deem it “cool” (especially those who are fashionably-inclined) to consider the German sportswear company much more, aside from their arch rivals.
Since a 20% decline in 2014 in North America, the brand has recorded an impressive first-quarter this year, with net sales rising 22% on a currency-neutral basis, which was even better in 2015 with a 7% growth. Footwear sales soared 54%, helped by increases for running and the smaller baseball and football categories.
Mark King, president of Adidas Group North America, tells Fortune; that running shoes grew by 30% and the Ultra Boost line was simply the best seller. Retail data from The NPD Group also revealed that the Three Stripes is gaining popularity faster in running, compared to Nike and Under Armour, although, Nike still commands nearly 60% of the market share, while adidas is at 5% and Under Armour just 3%.
Additionally, the rise of activewear for both sports and day-to-day activities has given other sportswear brands a boost, since the attire is currently trending, and should continue to grow as this forthcoming Summer 2016 Olympics serves as a global platform for more marketing opportunities.
Furthermore, with the aid of partnerships of other influential artists such as Pharrell Williams and others, as well as big notable athlete endorsement deals, it creates a halo effect for the consumers, which essentially explains the bias shown by customers towards certain products because of a favorable experience with other products made by the same company.
Mark King states;
?Americans like winners, we needed to not just have athletes but the best athletes.?

It looks pretty similar to the Ultra Boost, but it’s still pretty solid. The colorway is nice and versatile. I’m not tempted to purchase one yet though.

The Simple Italia Independent x adidas Court Vantage
By SoleInsider
This Italia Independent x adidas Court Vantage consists as the latest collaboration between the fashion imprint and German sportswear company for Spring/Summer 2016.
Flaunting a simplistic design, the low-top sneaker is comprised of a woven mesh upper that includes smooth leather detailing on the toe box, along the eyelets and tongue. Further detailed with intricate white stitching on the tip of the tongue, the pristine hue is continued throughout its inner lining.
In addition, the heel tab is comprised of glossy leather for additional flair, while red/green lace tips add a hint of vibrance. All adhered atop a clean white rubber sole unit, co-branding is evident on the tongue and rear.
You can find this pair at select adidas stockists overseas first, while a stateside release is imminent.
It looks like the image you see above is an actuall pair of the upcoming adidas Yeezy Boost 550. We’ve heard an endless amount of rumors and seen a handful of images regarding what the shoe will actually look like, but it looks like this is the one.
If you take a close look at the picture you will see that the shoe has a higher ankle cut compared to the Yeezy Boost 350, sort of making it a semi-low top sneaker. The upper still comes in Primeknit construction, the only difference is the new patterns placed on the shoe. Another notable and new feature comes by way of the outsole shape as it now comes with a more sleek motif and a translucent appearance. For whatever it’s worth, the tags also read Yeezy Boost 550. No word yet on when these will drop, but keep it locked as more information begins to arise. Also, be sure to visit our adidas Yeezy Boost 550 hub page for all the latest info and images regarding this potential release.
Don’t really see much of a difference between this pair and the 350. In my opinion, it’s kind of redundant. With that being said, you damn well these are still going to sell out.
The Air Jordan 12 GS University Blue Proves That Life Isn’t Always Fair
Another perspective of the adidas Originals Tubular Nova in hemp is provided, as the colorway consists as the latest offering for Spring 2016.
Flaunting a nude tone across its textile upper and suede overlays along the toe cap and lacing component across the side panels, the sneaker is further detailed with its signature branded elastic band on the heel in a complimentary tone.
Offset atop a clean white tube-inspired sole unit, finishing details include matching laces and more branding on the tongue tab.
Find this pair at select adidas accounts overseas first, although a stateside release is expected soon
I?m pretty biased towards this color combo. I probably would purchase it in every style. I haven?t bought this model yet, but I?m already tempted with this variation.

Sneaker Grails: The Light Side And Dark Side Star Wars adidas Superstar
By SoleInsider
May the Fourth be with you, celebrate this totally fabricated (but kind of awesome because Star Wars) holiday you will. As every blog tries to shoehorn in Star Wars-related content on their site in a totally blatant attempt to garner clicks, we here at KicksOnFire would like to present our own totally blatant attempt to garner clicks on Star Wars Day with a special edition of Sneaker Grails. It’s like we’re Han Solo trying shove Luke Skywalker into a frozen Tauntaun over here. The guts are kinda gross and smelly but the kicks are dope…
Ask any Star Wars fan what the best film in the seven that have dropped so far was and they will undoubtedly say The Empire Strikes Back (if they say otherwise they are just wrong and possibly terrible people… kidding… maybe…). The sequel to A New Hope turned the characters that we all fell in love with into actual human beings that you could relate to, whether it was the Leia and Han dynamic or Darth Vader having conflicted feelings towards a foe he would normally just force choke the s**t out of (being that foe is his son will do that to a father, I guess) or Luke trying to find his way in the world. Chuck Klosterman cites Empire’s multi-generational influence and who we view as the hero, the anti-hero and the villain depends on how old we were when we saw the film. For example, while a kid might think Luke “lost” to Vader in Empire, a teenager might think he did the noble thing in not selling out; meanwhile, an adult might look at that situation and realize that maybe what Vader is pitching – galactic domination and a pretty dope life as the heir to the throne – isn’t so bad.
What I remember most from Empire when I first saw it on Laserdisc (yeah…) and the subsequent hundreds of times I watched it afterwards was the feeling that Luke was kind of a whiny brat who had the best teacher in the world and totally deserved getting the smackdown laid into him by Vader. I was maybe seven or eight years old. Yoda for the win basically.
In 2007, adidas did not have the Star Wars license yet, but that did not stop them from releasing a “Light Side” and “Dark Side” Consortium pack that paid homage to the movies. Housed in packaging that is very reminiscent of the old school Kenner action figures, the “Vader” and “Yoda” colorways each featured distinct nods to the iconic characters. The “Vader” was done in a shiny all-black leather upper style with gold hits throughout the shoe and a red sole while the “Yoda” had a light brown hemp upper that referenced his homely attire and light green embellishments on the lace tip and sole. Maybe the Lucasfilm people wouldn’t have paid too much attention to the pack if a few things were done differently, but what really put it over the top was the use of the iconic Star Wars font on the packaging and the shoes. It’s possible that this is what led the three stripes to pony up the money to use Star Wars in an official capacity and considering it’s a partnership that remains to this day, it’s money well-spent.
As is the case with any Consortium release, this not-so-subtle tribute was not produced in mass quantities. Various sources online range the actual number of pairs out there between as many as two thousand to as little as 800 for each character. They sold out quickly and are now in the hands of sneakerheads and Star Wars collectors. So if you see somebody rock a pair this Star Wars Day, give them the nod of approval, you must.
Can’t get enough of the adidas NMD? Ladies, are you looking to pick up a fresh new colorway for the Spring? Peep this brand new vibrant version of the model set to drop in a few days.
This adidas NMD R1 appears to be done in a mesh construction. The mesh comes in pink, while the Three Stripes branding and heel tan are done in purple. The Boost sole comes in white to give the shoe a clean and sleek look. Simple in design, the shoe is still able to garner plenty of attention. Said to be dropping later on this week, let us know what you think about the shoes.
Will We Ever See This adidas J Wall 2 Hit Retailers
By SoleInsider
With John Wall’s contract with adidas having ended this year it seems unlikely that the two will agree to another deal since he wore a few Jordan retros during the second half of the NBA season.
That means that adidas is probably stuck with a lot of adidas J Wall 2s that they designed and will never release. One of those colorways may be the pair that you see above which features an off-white upper with colorful graffiti-like detailing on the side panels and midsole. Capping things off is an icy blue translucent outsole, silver detailing on the heel and tongue branding, and BOOST cushioning on the heel.
Would you like to see this J Wall 2 hit retailers? Let us know in the comments below.
This is definitely one of the nicer J Wall 2 colorways that I’ve seen. The fact that it has BOOST cushioning makes them even better. Not sure if adidas will release these but I think they should.
The Air Jordan 12 GS University Blue Proves That Life Isn’t Always Fair
Check out this adidas NMD custom we came across. Dubbed the Aqua Dripped, the shoe as created by Duane Gavins Jr. Gavins gave the shoe a “wet” look as the upper comes in a bright blue look with drip detailing to give the shoe a wet/dripped look. Offsetting the look of the shoe is the pink slime placed on the toebox. ‘Dizz’ is placed on the heels of the shoes to complete the main features on the custom.Thoughts on this adidas NMD custom? Let us know what you think in the comments below. Want to see more of Gavins’ work? be sure to visit his IG page here.
The hottest sneaker of 2016 so far will soon be available in sizing and colorways just for girls. Of course, it’s the adidas NMD R1 we’re talking about, which has taken the lifestyle sneaker world by storm since its initial release in late December 2015. Making sure the young ladies won’t be left out of the NMD craze, adidas Originals is ready to drop girls-exclusive version of the sneaker, which we get a preview of here in a pink and purple colorway. Expect them soon at select retailers like Champs Sports.
There’s no doubt that the adidas Y-3 Qasa is one of the most recognized models from the Y-3 line, but now we’re getting ready to see the beloved model converted into a sandal. Introducing the adidas Y-3 Qasa Sandal.
It’s easy to recognize the sandal as the Y-3 Qasa since the sole of the shoe remains true to form. The upper of the sandal is made out of the same elastic bands you fins on the Y-3 Qasa sneaker, the only difference is that the elastic straps are the ONLY thing you will find on the sandal. Just like on the sneaker, Y-3 branding is placed on the heel. Out now, pick up your very own pair for the retail price of $350.
The sandal is nice. It definitely still has that Y-3 feel to them. I just don’t understand why they’r retailing for $350. For that reason alone I won’t look at these twice.

Don’t worry, this upcoming release of the adidas Tubular Nova isn’t actually made out of cardboard, it’s just the name of the tan hue used on the stylish silhouette. The materials are actually anything but cardboard when it comes to quality, as the shoe features a durable canvas base with suede overlays for the tonal light brown upper, which gets paired with the signature ribbed Tubular sole in white. With the shoe box being the only thing associated with these sneakers that’s actually cardboard, this latest adidas Tubular Nova is arriving at select overseas retailers now, and should be available in the US soon.
