Adidas has announced the launch date of their new U.S. flagship store on Spring Street in New York City on August 17. Situated in the heart of Manhattan?s bustling SoHo neighborhood, the unique space will house a curated assortment of adidas Originals lifestyle product including limited-edition capsule collections and designer collaborations for men, women and children.

To celebrate the new location, adidas will be releasing a special limited edition colorway of the adidas NMD. Known as the NMD Red Apple, the shoe features an all-over knit construction as a base, the release develops the NMD blueprint with a vibrant red camo upper, while the NMD?s signature TPU heel tab reads ?NEW YORK? instead of the customary ?brand with three stripes?. Embroidery on the sockliner of each right shoe is numbered 001 to 200 while the left sockliner is embroidered with 200 ? the total number of pairs available.

This limited New York edition NMD will be available for purchase through the adidas Confirmed APP beginning August 15, reservations will be open to all 5 boroughs: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island and the Bronx. Upon purchase, customers will be invited to pick up pairs of their reserved shoe at the new adidas Originals Flagship. Retail price has been set at $170.

Only 200 pairs? It’s gonna be close to impossible getting a pair of these. I live in California so I have no chance at these anyway.

First Look At The Infant adidas Yeezy Boost 350

IMG_7383 IMG_7384 IMG_7395 IMG_7396 IMG_7397 IMG_7400 IMG_7401

Earlier this year it was revealed that adidas would be releasing infant sizes of the adidas Yeezy Boost 350 in a variety of colorways including the Pirate Blacks, Turtle Dove, Beluga colorways.

Today we receive our first look at the tiny version of the Yeezy Boost 350 courtesy of sneaker consignment shop Urban Necessities in Las Vegas. The pictures above are of the Pirate Black colorway and feature a very similar if not the same Primeknit upper and Boost midsole as the men’s pair. As you can see, lots of detail was put into these infant pairs and they look pretty identical to the adult version.

The adidas Yeezy Boost 350 Infant is expected to release some time in September with a release date to be announced later this month. Retail price is expected to be $120. Stay tuned to Kicks On Fire for updates.

These looks pretty identical to the adult version which is pretty cool. I’m not a fan of the Yeezy Boosts but I have to admit that these look sweet.

adidas Announces New NYC Flagship With adidas NMD Red Apple

adidas Originals is making big moves throughout New York City. Not only is a new Brooklyn studio a key part of their new ‘design farm’ system, but the trefoil brand has announced a new U.S. flagship store on Spring Street, open for business on August 17th. The store aims to further the brand’s ever-growing lifestyle initiatives by housing select adidas Originals lifestyle products and limited-edition runs of their latest collaborations with designers and artists around the globe. In honor of the occasion, the three stripes will release the adidas NMD Red Apple, a New York exclusive colorway of the popular model available for purchase only throughout the 5 boroughs on the adidas Confirmed App. The run will be incredibly limited; only 200 pairs will be up for grabs on August 15th for $170 USD.

adidas has enlisted Joey Bada$$ and his Pro Era crew members for a special edition zine showcasing how Brooklyn has shaped them as creatives to accompany the release of this adidas NMD R1 pair. The head-turning colorway utilizes a vibrant red ‘camouflaged’ Primeknit upper in honor of the city’s Big Apple nickname, a black TPU heel with ‘New York’ instead of the usual international thematic elements. Each pair is tagged with a number 1 through 200.

If you’re one of the lucky few who reserve a pair on August 15th, you’ll be invited to the new flagship store on 115 Spring Street to pick up this adidas NMD Red Apple. Check out more detailed shots below and stay tuned for more updates right here on Sneaker News.

Official images of the updated adidas Ultra Boost Triple White 3.0 version have now released, as this pair is suggested to arrive sometime next year.

Essentially similar to its original design, this revamped pair houses a marbled-like Primeknit pattern that exhibits a more durable, smoother and tougher composition. Additionally, the distinctive translucent cage overlay has been refined in a translucent finish, which provides a sleeker look to its already slick design.

The model is rounded out with its signature TPU overlay on the heel and matching traditional boost sole unit.

The next variation of the adidas Ultra Boost is previewed in three colorways, as this particular pair incorporates a revamped marbled-like Primeknit pattern that also depicts a stronger build throughout for a smoother profile.

Rendered in traditional tones of grey, black and navy — each pair now includes a tweaked caged system, which now consists of a refined translucent component that exudes a much sleeker look for its aesthetic.

With the remainder of its build staying true to its OG design, such as the TPU heel overlay, white midsole and black continental outsole — you can expect to find these pairs at select adidas retailers soon.

Stay tuned to KicksOnFire for updates.

Release Reminder: Kasina x adidas Originals Superstar 80s

KASINA X ADIDAS SUPERSTAR 80S 1 KASINA X ADIDAS SUPERSTAR 80S 2 KASINA X ADIDAS SUPERSTAR 80S 3 KASINA X ADIDAS SUPERSTAR 80S 4 KASINA X ADIDAS SUPERSTAR 80S 5 KASINA X ADIDAS SUPERSTAR 80S 6 KASINA X ADIDAS SUPERSTAR 80S 7 KASINA X ADIDAS SUPERSTAR 80S 8

For all of you who’ve been waiting for the Kasina x adidas Originals Superstar 80s to drop, you don’t have to wait much longer as this collaborative effort is getting ready to release tomorrow. Let’s take one last look at the shoe.

Obviously, the main feature on the shoe that most of us seem to be talking about is the similar trait the shoe shares with the Yeezy Boost 350. adidas links up with Korean sneaker store Kasina to create a minimal look on the Superstar 80s. The shoe comes dressed in a smooth tonal suede construction. Black suede creates nice contrast on the heel, tongue and the medial side panels. Take a closer look at the Black side panels on the medial side. They should remind you of the Boost 350, right? Red accents are also placed throughout. Want more Boost 350 inspiration? The tonal branding placed on the medial side panels should do the trick. Releasing tomorrow at select retailers for $150, is this a cop or drop?

Author?s Take

It?s not something I would wear. I don?t even like the Boost 350 to begin with. It?s definitely an easy pass on my end, I?d rather get a original looking pair of Superstars.

This Black & Gold adidas NMD Wont Release Until Next Year

ADIDAS NMD 1 ADIDAS NMD 2 ADIDAS NMD 4 ADIDAS NMD 5 ADIDAS NMD 3

The argument can be made that the adidas NMD is the hottest sneaker in the game right now. With Yeezys releasing what feels like every 5 or 6 months and Jordan retros declining in popularity, the NMD has been one of the most popular sneakers ever since it made its debut less than a year ago.

Later this month we’re expected to see a bunch of new colorways of the NMD and NMD XR1 arrive at retailers but today we focus our attention on a pair that won’t be dropping until 2017. This women’s exclusive colorway of the NMD features a Core Black upper with gold detailing on the heel pull tab and the EVA insert on the midsole. White accents have also been added along with the signature Boost midsole.

You can look for this NMD to release some time in 2017. In the meantime enjoy the first images above.

A black and gold NMD, what’s not to like? If the heel tab were also done in gold these would have looked even better.

Constructed out of a smooth suede upper, the shoe comes dressed in an all-Rose motif. The only part on the upper offsetting the tonal look is the White placed on the heel tab and the minimal adidas Trefoil branding on the tongue. Below you will see a White sole unit to complete the look of the shoe. Available internationally, you can expect to see these in the states in the near future.

Peep The adidas Tubular Defiant With Leather

The adidas Tubular series has since taken a backseat to the likes of the adidas Ultra Boost and adidas NMD. It’s kind of hard to compete with running models with both Boost and Primeknit technology right now, but if you’re in the market for a comfortable lifestyle silhouette in a women’s exclusive size run, then the Tubular Defiant fits the bill and then some.

First introduced back in Summer 2015, the adidas Tubular Defiant W struck a chord for the way it simplified the Tubular midsole and outsole unit. The model also took inspiration from Yohji Yamamoto’s adidas Y-3 line thanks to a midfoot construction that utilizes a neoprene strap for a comfortable yet flexible lockdown support. This new colorway is simple enough – a Core Black and Off White create a classic high contrast composition while the new leather build adds a premium touch.

The adidas Tubular Defiant is available now from select shops like Caliroots.

adidas To Give Its Best Olympians The 3-D Printed Futurecraft Shoes

And you thought a Gold Medal would be an athlete’s prized possession at this year’s Olympics. adidas is giving a select few of their sponsored Olympians exclusive tailor-made pairs of the 3D-printed adidas Futurecraft should they win a medal in Rio.

The adidas Futurecraft is a truly one of a kind silhouette. The breathable Primeknit upper is only the half of it too. The outsole unit is crafted through the futuristic technology of 3D-printing based on the contours and unique arches of a particular athlete’s foot. The made-to-order offering is engineered through a 3D web construction and ditches the traditional glue and stitch process. This methodology also lands on the supportive heel.

The Triple Black adidas Futurecraft 3D will also feature unique accents on the laces, as they will be speckled with either metallic gold, silver, or bronze accents to represent the medal won by the athlete recieving the exclusive pair. Check out a preview below and stay tuned for more adidas updates right here on Sneaker News.

The adidas Ultra Boost Will Feature New Primeknit Styling

Are we going to see an adidas Ultra Boost 2.0 anytime soon? While the three stripes have been tinkering with the model thanks to the Ultra Boost Uncaged variants with collaborations from Solebox and Hypebeast, there’s also been some general release pairs that have added a slip-on construction for a lightweight ride to rival the adidas NMD’s casual style. Today we get a look at an updated Primeknit construction for the coming Fall/Winter 2016 season.

Here the Ultra Boost returns in four monochromatic colorways that sees a sturdier, thicker Primeknit woven material comprise the entirety of the upper. This might mean less ventilation while running, but it will hold down the casual category thanks to a sturdier build. The pattern almost mimics the upcoming adidas NMD “Glitch Pack” where sharp lines accentuate the sleek build.

The rest of the model remains unchanged as the Ultra Boost’s cage overlay and heel construction add a lockdown support. There’s no colorized Boost here either, but the Continental rubber outsole should add a durable finish to the instant classic running model. Expect these four adidas runners to arrive at retailers this Fall/Winter season. More photos below.

Preview adidas NMD Releases For 2017

We’re still counting down the days until adidas Originals releases their massive 19-pair adidas NMD collection on August 18th. Until then, we’re still getting previews of the popular model extending all the way to their Spring 2017 lineup. This adidas NMD “Core Black” pair utilizes a new woven mesh construction with larger perforations throughout for added ventilation.

You can see the noticeable difference on the heel, where an underlying white heel counter peeks through. While this “Core Black” offering is relatively simple, accents of metallic gold are a welcomed sight for this women’s exclusive. The NMD showcases the shade on the midsole and heel tag while German and Japanese translations of ‘The Three Stripes Brand’ are written throughout.

The USA is dominating the 2016 Summer Olympics in terms of medal count, and to celebrate the allure of the international sporting event in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, a special adidas Ultra Boost Olympic Medals pack is set to make its debut soon.

Essentially evoking the first, second and third-place medals given out in the award ceremonies — gold, silver and bronze — respectively, the defining theme is implemented on the silhouette’s heel and tongue. The gold and bronze pair inherit a blacked-out primeknit upper, while the silver rendition bears a mixture of black and grey for its construction.

Each topped off with a white midsole and black continental outsole, you can purchase either pair at select adidas retailers starting August 17th for a retail price tag of $180.
