The adidas Ultra Boost Chinese New Year 2017 Has A Different Look To It (Video)
By SoleInsider
Earlier this year, one of the most popular new adidas Ultra Boost drops was the Chinese New Year colorway. It looks like 2017 will come with another Ultra Boost that celebrates the occasion but it will be different from the last iteration. The newly designed Primeknit upper gives the shoe a depth that we haven’t seen before and the graphic on the tongue opens up the possibilities for different occasions and events getting a unique like that in the future. How are you feeling about the future of the adidas Ultra Boost and this new possible adidas Ultra Boost Chinese New Year 2017? Be sure to follow Kicks On Fire for more information on this release as it breaks.
Adidas Creates Custom Cleats For DeAndre Hopkins To Raise Domestic Violence Awareness
By SoleInsider
After being fined by the NFL for wearing the adidas Yeezy 350 Cleat, it’s safe to say that DeAndre Hopkins of the Houston Texans will no longer be wearing Yeezys on the field, at least for now.
However, Hopkins still plans on making statements with his cleats. In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Hopkins will be wearing these custom “Sabrina” adidas cleats in honor of his mother, Sabrina Greenlee. Sabrina is a victim of multiple abusive and violent relationships and a fine example of strength, resilience, and love for her children. Hopkins will wear these pregame cleats to give voices to victims and evoke conversation around a topic that is often swept under the rug. DeAndre will also donate $1000 to the Aid to Victims of Domestic Abuse of Texas (ADVA_TX) for every touchdown he scores.
The cleat features a violet upper with white accents. The right cleat reads the phone number of the National Domestic Violence Hotline, while the left has the phrase “End Domestic Violence.”
The adidas EQT Support ADV Olive Is Finally Arriving In The States
By SoleInsider
Slowly but surely, the new batch of colorways of the adidas EQT Support ADV are beginning to arrive stateside. The next one to do so is the Olive colorway you see above. Opting to take the tonal route, let’s take another look at the shoe.
The adidas EQT Support ADV Olive is constructed out of an array of materials consisting of mesh, suede and synthetics. Prominent features on the shoe include the signature Three Stripes branding on the side panels in nylon, the tonal TPU apparatus on the rear, and the white full-length rubber sole unit. Additional Olive hits take care of the laces, lining and taping on the side of the toes. Priced at $110, don’t think about it too much and pick up a pair asap, because these are sure to sell out with the quickness.
Here’s our first look at the adidas EQT Running Support 93 Croc Pack in its entirety. Consisting of three different colorways to choose from, each pair from the pack is done in a construction said to be inspired by a crocodile’s skin.
Coming in either Olive, Clear Onix or Off-White, each pair is constructed out of a textured leather and mesh. The croc like texture can be seen on the panel overlays and heel to give them that premium look. adidas branding appears on the tongue, heel and side panels. A White midsole and Black outsole round out the main features on the shoe. Available internationally, expect these to drop in the U.S. in the near future.
The Olive Green pair is by far my favorite from the pack. The croc texture on the leather is really dope and changes the entire aesthetic of the entire shoe.
Adidas Has Converted The ZX Flux Into A Sneakerboot
By SoleInsider
Even though we don’t see as many releases of the adidas ZX Flux as we used to, every here and then adidas drops something new.
The latest version of the ZX Flux is unlike anything we’ve ever seen before. Known as the adidas ZX Flux 5/ TR, this new Flux comes with a new mid-top construction along with an All Terrain mesh upper that keeps your feet warm and dry. Other details include a new padded collar, a heel pull tab, and a new rugged outsole.
If you feel like scooping up a new sneakerboot from the three stripes then you can purchase this Olive/Beige colorway of the adidas ZX Flux 5/8 TR at select retailers now for $120.
One of those color options is this blue/black pair that covers the Primeknit upper in a royal/navy blue with black hits landing on the heel counter, Boost midsole, and the Continental rubber outsole.
We don’t have a release date to report yet for this blue/black adidas Ultra Boost Uncaged, but stay tuned to Kicks On Fire for updates.
On-Feet Look At The adidas ZX Flux Primeknti In Vapour Green
By SoleInsider
Another Primeknit colorway of the adidas ZX Flux has surfaced joining the Halo Pink pair that we showed you earlier this week.
Just like ths pink pair, this pair would have been netter suited for the Spring or Summer seasons. Dressed in Vapour Green, this ZX Flux Primeknit comes with a breathable and lightweight construction on the upper along with contrasting hits of White on the three stripes branding, heel tab, and the branding on the tongue. A white midsole and outsole finishes off this clean looking ZX Flux.
The adidas Ultra Boost continues to undergo changes such as the Uncaged version that released earlier this Summer and the more recent ATR pair that utilizes new stronger materials on the upper.
Today we take a first look at yet another variation of the Ultra Boost known as the adidas Ultra Boost ATR Mid Street. This new Ultra Boost comes in a mid-top construction and features a Primeknit upper. Other details include a molded three stripes branding on the side panels, a full-length Boost midsole, and ATR (All Terrain) qualities on the upper which makes the shoe suitable for the cold and wet months of Fall and Winter.
At the moment there is no release date for the adidas Ultra Boost Mid ATR Street, but stay tuned to Kicks On Fire for updates.
Find Out The Inspiration Behind Von Millers adidas Freaks Custom Cleats
By SoleInsider
Von Miller had a big part in helping shut down the Carolina Panther offense back in Super Bowl 50. His performance helped the Denver Broncos become NFL Champions once more. Miller decided to treat himself by having a custom ring (worth $25k) done that celebrated the biggest moment of his career. The ring came with the words “SB 50 MVP” on one side and “MBG” (Money Bag Gang) right in the middle of the ring. For those of you who don’t know, MBG is the name he uses to represent a close group of his friends. Now he uses that ring as an inspiration for his latest custom work done on the adidas Freaks.
The cleat you see above was made as a pregame warm-up cleat, meaning that you won’t see him wearing them during the actual game, he wears them just to warm up in them. Created by customizer Charlie Kirihara, the cleat is covered in crystals to mimic the look of the ring. Kirihara even wen the extra mile and presented the cleats to Miller in an actual money bag. Check out the cleats above an let us know what you think.
Tan Covers This New Colorway of The adidas Los Angeles
By SoleInsider
The Fall will bring us more new colorways of the adidas Los Angeles with one of the first being this Clear Brown/Metallic Silver pair.
Having made its debut last year, this new colorway of the adidas Los Angeles features a full mesh upper with nubuck detailing on the heel. The majority of the shoe is done in Clear Brown (tan) with Metallic Silver accents on the three stripes branding and the branding on the tongue. A white midsole and Clear Brown rubber outsole round out the look on this new colorway of the adidas Los Angeles. Do you anticipate picking up a pair this Fall? Let us know down in the comments.
The adidas Los Angeles has caught my eye ever since the first time I saw it last year. I’m not sure if it’s the pictures, but I’m just not feeling this colorway.
The defining tone essentially covers its signature primeknit upper construction, in addition to the ribbed detailing of its sock-like collar and TPU component across its heel section. The understated hue is complemented with a vibrant orange-colored boost midsole unit that pronounces its design, while it’s topped off with a white outsole.
This pair is suggested to make its debut at select adidas retailers sometime during Spring 2017 $180.
Already the most tough, bold, and menacing looking model in the adidas Tubular family, the Tubular X Primeknit gets even more mean with this latest “Triple Black” look. The Primeknit-constructed version of the Tubular X gets outfitted in black from its extra high top to the ribbed midsole at the bottom for the always popular all-black-everything appearance. Actually we’re deceiving you with the “Triple Black” nickname just a bit, as these also have a small dose of dark grey threading interwoven into the toe and heel. Whatever you want to call them, they’re no doubt the toughest Tubular X yet. Pairs are arriving now at select adidas Originals suppliers.
adidas Skateboarding And Dennis Busenitz Celebrate Their 10th Anniversary With Special Release
By SoleInsider
After signing professional skater Dennis Busenitz in 2006, adidas soon created their most popular skateboarding sneaker still to this day, his signature model the adidas Busenitz Pro. With this month marking the 10-year anniversary of the partnership with Busenitz, adidas has decided to celebrate with a special release to commemorate the milestone. With the rising popularity of the brand’s Boost technology, earlier this year adidas Skateboarding decided to create a modified off-the-board edition of the Busenitz Pro with a comfy Boost sole and premium leather upper. Now the shoe receives the special 10th anniversary colorway, featuring a black upper with metallic gold accents and “06” on one heel and “16” on the other to signify the important 10-year partnership.
The adidas Skateboarding Busenitz Pure boost releases at select retailers globally on October 1st.
Look For The Undefeated x adidas Consortium EQT Support ADV Next Month
By SoleInsider
After just having joined forces to release the Undefeated x adidas Consortium Busenitz earlier this month, both parties have gotten together once again for another collaboration.
This time we see Undefeated put their own twist on the adidas EQT Support ADV which comes dressed in a low-key black and off-white colorway. The sock-like upper is made of matte neoprene with subtle leather overlays providing a combination of stability and flexibility. Other details include a subtle camo print on the shoe’s heel cage, off-white chain stitch seams, and co-branded tongue labels.
The Undefeated x adidas Consortium EQT Support ADV will release at Undefeated on October 8th with a worldwide adidas Consortium release coming on October 15th. Retail price will be $150.
Author’s Take
I’ve had my eyes on the EQT Support ADV for quite some time now, but I don’t think I would pick up this pair. The colorway is jut too plain for my liking.
Buy, Pass, Wait: Air Jordan 12 OVO White, More adidas NMDs
By SoleInsider
In this week’s edition of Buy, Pass, Wait, the staff wonders have they’re all going to score a pair of the Air Jordan 12 OVO White while also debating the merits of the new swath of NMD releases and whether or not the Air Jordan 12 Wool might be getting a little buried this weekend.
Juan Martinez, Editor-In-Chief: (BUY) So yeah, I don’t have the Wings 12 and chances are I’ll probably take an L for this release as well, but I’ll keep hope alive until I see Nike tells me, “sorry.” I’m a sucker like that.
Renz Ofiaza, News: (BUY TO RESELL) Aiming to buy and resell for profit. Since it’s a notable collab, it already gets the attention it deserves. I like the pristine makeup, but, I prefer the OVO Black a bit more.
Juan Carrillo, News: (BUY) I wouldn’t consider myself a Drake fan, but these 12s are definitely one of the nicest colorways the model has come out with this year. That White and Gold combination is perfect. Drake fan or not, I’d love to have these in my closet. Wish me luck, we’re all going to need it.
Andres Carrillo, News: (BUY) I’ve never won a Nike SNKRS drawing, but I hope this will be my first. This is easily the best OVO x Air Jordan release that I’ve seen.
EIC Juan: (PASS) Too many black-based Air Jordan 12s this year so I’m ready for the fall anyways between The Master and Black Nylon, not to mention last year’s PSNY collab. If I lived on the east coast these would be cool to wear but in Southern California they look off.
Renz: (BUY) Since its introduction, I like how the utilization of wool was implemented. The colorway is pretty versatile and it’s a nice execution of functionality and style as well.
News Juan: (WAIT) I like the shoe, I just don’t see myself wearing it a whole lot. The wool construction is a nice change of look on the shoe, but like I said, I really don’t know when I’d find time to wear these. If these somehow end up on the clearance rack, I’d be willing to pick them up for under $140. If they sell out, I won’t be losing sleep over them.
Andres: (PASS) I like the how the wool upper looks on the Air Jordan 12, I just don’t see myself wearing these too often if I were to buy them. Nice shoe, but not for the price.
adidas Busenitz Pure Boost 10th Anniversary
adidas
EIC Juan: (WAIT) Black, white and gold are a winning combination but because these have zero hype behind them, I can just sit back and wait for the price to drop.
Renz: (PASS) I like the simplistic profile in general and it look even better with the boost-enhanced sole. I like the colorway, but, it’s not a sneaker I’m too crazy about.
News Juan: (WAIT) Really nice Black and Gold sneaker. The Red pair that dropped earlier this year ended up in the clearance rack, I hope this pair does the same. being that it’s a 10 year anniversary edition, I don’t see that happening.
Andres: (WAIT) I’ve had my eyes on a couple of colorways of the Busenitz Pure Boost in the past, and this black/gold pair is the best one yet. If these were to fall to under $100 I’d consider buying a pair.
Nike LeBron 10 Soldier Camo
Nike
EIC Juan: (PASS) Never been a camo guy and this won’t change my mind. I still find it hilarious this is the model everybody will remember LeBron wearing to win a championship and not his actual signatures.
Renz: (PASS) I’m off with the camouflage theme right now but it looks great on this model. Years ago I would’ve considered, especially if I was playing bball often.
News Juan: (PASS) Not a big fan of the model. I also heard it was a workout to simply put on the damn shoe, and with my wide feet that’s definitely going to be a problem. The camo print is cool, but it could have been executed better.
Andres: (PASS) The camo upper looks solid on the LeBron Zoom Soldier 10, but I think this shoe is meant to only be worn on the court. I wouldn’t spend this much money on a shoe if I can’t wear it casually.
adidas NMD_C1 TR
adidasadidas
EIC Juan: (PASS) I’m not sure who this was made for because if you’re looking for a trail shoe, you might want something with a little more support but if you’re looking for a casual NMD there’s several better-looking options but have the Chukka style that you might be looking for.
Renz: (PASS) I admire the Chukka-esque style and it’s versatile makeup for the fall/winter season. Although, I’d rather purchase the NMD Sock instead.
News Juan: (PASS) I don’t really like this trail version of the NMD. If I was really shopping for a trail shoe, I think I’d get one with much more support and structure, that’s just me though. Boost is cool, but you need much more than that for a trail shoe.
Andres: (PASS) Adidas has been releasing way too many colorways of the NMD. This could be a bad thing (look up Nike Roshe Run), so I would slow down a bit if I were them. The only colorway that I’m interested in right now is the restock of the OG Black Primeknit pair that is rumored to be returning in December.
