This adidas Ultra Boost Is Exclusive To NYC

adidas Ultra Boost adidas Ultra Boost 1

adidas just opened its New York City Flagship store on Thursday and to celebrate the occasion, the popular adidas Ultra Boost has received an NYC-exclusive colorway that is also applicable via the miadidas station in the retail shop only.

The vibrant mint green/grey colorway is essentially inspired by the Statue of Liberty and expect to see more exclusive one-of-a-kind designs to be produced soon.

If you’re near the area, stop by the new flagship location at 565 Fifth Ave. and create your own pair.

Author’s Take

The silhouette is appealing overall and this colorway is pretty sweet. I like the exclusiveness to NYC.

adidas NMD R2 Debuts Tomorrow

The adidas NMD R1 has no doubt been the hottest sneaker of 2016, but it’s apparent that adidas Originals aren’t resting on their laurels for even a minute, as the shoe’s sequel is already about to launch. The NMD R2 debuts tomorrow at retail, arriving first in two Primeknit constructions covered in a bold striped motif. You’ll also notice one major design change in the R2: no “bumper” inserts on the Boost midsole on the lateral side, with only a rear bumper on the medial side. But don’t worry if you’re a fan of the first NMD, because they don’t appear to be leaving production any time soon.

Take your pick, the NMD R2 is featured in the olive/black colorway you see here, as well as a black and charcoal edition, both hitting select adidas Originals retailers tomorrow, December 3rd.

Is Pusha Ts adidas Ultra Boost EQT Being Pushed Back Until January

This weekend was supposed to bring another installment from Pusha T and adidas Originals, but that might not be the case for Europe anymore due to some reported problems with the delivery of the coveted collaboration to a number of stores. According to Instagrammer Hichem.OG, the Pusha T adidas Ultra Boost EQT release has been canceled and will now be available sometime come January 2017.

The Pusha T adidas Ultra Boost EQT will be the first Primeknit collaboration between King Push and adidas Originals, with the greyscale aesthetic utilizing contrasting fish scale panels on the forefoot and a full-length Boost midsole to add an ultra comfortable ride. That doesn’t mean that the adidas Equipment references are going away anytime soon though, as the ribbon three stripe branding returns as well as the unique lace dubraes featuring ‘King Push’ so there’s no doubt that the G.O.O.D. Music President had his hand in creating this luxurious offering.

Check out more detailed shots of the coming Pusha T adidas Ultra Boost EQT below and we’ll keep you updated on a new release date right here on Sneaker News.

This weekend is full of highly anticipated and exciting releases with one of those being the next collaboration between Pusha T and adidas Originals.

Dubbed the adidas EQT Boost King Push, this new project between the musician and the three stripes takes two of adidas’ most popular innovations, Primeknit and Boost, and places them together on the same shoe. The sneaker comes with a full Primeknit upper in gray, carpe overlays across the heel tab and toe, reflective three stripes branding and a white BOOST midsole.

You can grab you pair beginning tomorrow, December 3rd at select adidas retailers for $200.

The Primeknit upper and Boost midsole is a winning combination. Adidas did a nice job with these.

This Black Pair Of The adidas EQT ADV 91-16 Will Begin Releasing Tomorrow

adidas EQT ADV 91-16 Black 2 adidas EQT ADV 91-16 Black v 1

As most of you know, the adidas EQT ADV 91-16 Art Basel is not available for purchase, you can only “win” the limited and exclusive sneaker. In other words, the general public will have a hard time picking up a pair. As a consolation prize, I suggest you take a look at this new upcoming colorway dropping this weekend, the adidas EQT ADV 91-16 Black.

Just like the Art Basel version, this one also opts for a tonal aesthetic as a Black hue takes care of 98% of the shoe from head to toe. It appears to be made out of a taped mesh and neoprene combination. The ribbon Three Stripes branding appears on the paneling, while the transparent polymer eyelet & heel clip helps gives the shoe its unique look. Minimal hits of White appear on the Black adidas Torsion bar midsole by way of the Three Stripes branding. The shoe will begin releasing on December 3rd at select retailers worldwide.

Lastly, an off-White sole unit cleans things up a bit and adds some additional contrast. Priced at $130, you can now find these today at select adidas retailers.

adidas has a good thing going on when it comes to their Boost tech. Which is why I don’t blame them when they look to utilize their modern tech on any kind of sneaker for any kind of activity. The latest adidas model to rock happens to be a gold model. Here’s a first look at the adidas Crossknit Boost.

The adidas Crossknit Boost comes equipped with a Circleknit upper created specifically for golf footwear. It woven upper excels in breathability and comfort. Additional features on the shoe include the internal Three Stripes reinforcement, heel counter, a TPU welded toe, and the extended saddle sling for added stability and protection. The star of the shoe is without a doubt the full-length Boost midsole providing maximum cushioning and energy. Already available in 4 different colorways, pick these up from select retailers for $160.

Look for the adidas Crossknit Boost available now in four colorways directly on adidasgolf.com. The retail price tag is set at $160 USD.

I’ve never played gold, but if I did I know I’d like to wear a shoe with Boost. Standing all that time would require for me to have some comfy shoes. I know these would deliver.

Buy, Pass, Wait: adidas Harden Vol. 1, Space Jam Jordans, adidas NMD R2

The first weekend of December brings with plenty of kicks for sneakerheads to check out, but which ones are the worthy day 1 purchases and the ones that maybe you should give it a few weeks before copping? The KoF Staff reconvenes once again for the latest edition of Buy, Pass, Wait to help you out this holiday season.

adidas Harden Vol. 1 Pioneer

adidas
adidas

Juan Martinez, Editor-In-Chief: (GOT ‘EM) I’m surprised we got the shoe so far out that the Hardens already feels like a part of the regular rotation and yet most people are just now getting to experience them for the first time. For the price, the look and the value you get (a brand’s lead signature shoe), this is a must-have. It might not be the colorway I would have gone with had I had to pay for my pair (I love me some Gila Monster), but I wouldn’t be shocked if I owned a handful of Vol. 1s by the time the season is over.

Renz Ofiaza, News: (PASS) I do like the lifestyle-inclined aesthetic of the silhouette but it’s an easy pass for me. The black/gold colorway is more appealing though.

Juan Carrillo, News: (WAIT) Statistically, Harden is having a hell of a season. With the adidas Harden Vol. 1 recently making its debut, perhaps his success on the courts translates to some success on his first signature shoe. After the shoe getting clowned on during the “first look” stages, I feel like people are finally coming along to appreciating the shoe, including me. adidas is doing their thing when it comes to basketball sneakers, so I assume this model will fare well, performance wise. I dig it, but I’m in no rush to get a pair right now.

Andres Carrillo, News: (PASS) I’ll admit the more I see the Harden Vol. 1 the more it’s growing on me. The black & gold pair that released last week gave the shoe an entirely different look. I don’t like this Pioneer colorway enough to buy it, but maybe down the road I may consider buying a different pair.

Air Jordan 9 Space Jam

gc911
gc911

EIC Juan: (PASS) Oh Jordan Brand, the genius of rebranding these Space Jams is on a Monstars level. I know you couldn’t name these the “Fly Like An” Eagle 9s but this really should have been the name of the shoes from the beginning. Some people will stick to whatever OG nicknames they had for the shoes originally (I call them “OG 9s”), but as more kids just know Michael Jordan from the movie, that too will pass. Brilliant!

Renz: (WAIT) It’s a classic pair but, I’m not really that inclined on purchasing it instantly. I don’t really care about the name change either.

News Juan: (PASS) The Air Jordan 9 is one of my least favorite models from the Air Jordan signature line. Having Jordan Brand rename this colorway the Space Jam may finesse some people into getting a pair, but not me. If I was a betting man, I’d say that these get reduced in price in no more than 3 weeks.

Andres: (PASS) I’m not a fan of the Air Jordan 9, but if I were this is a colorway I would pick up in an instant. There’s just something about the OGs. I’ll wait for THE REAL Space Jams next week.

Air Jordan XXX1 Space Jam

EIC Juan: (GOT ‘EM) I sound like a skipping track on your workout playlist, but if only that Jumpman wasn’t there…

Renz: (WAIT) The Space Jam theme looks really solid on the model and it’s one of the better iterations of the silhouette for sure. I’d consider at a lower price point.

News Juan: (WAIT) Here’s a fun fact, I actually prefer this Space Jam over the one everybody else wants. Yeah, call me crazy, I know. I actually like the 31 model and I think it looks great as a casual shoe. After writing countless articles of the Space Jam 11s and going over hundreds of pictures of the same shoe, I’m kind of over them and they’re not even here yet, can you blame me? Once the 31s go down in price I may end up getting a pair.

Andres: (WAIT) Jordan Brand does another great job with this colorway of the Air Jordan 31. But just like almost every other pair that has released, I think if I wait enough I can get it for a cheaper price.

King Push x adidas EQT BOOST

adidas
adidas

EIC Juan: (BUY) Pusha T and his team at adidas does it again but this time instead of calling it a day with an all-grey everything take on the EQT, they add some more twists like Primeknit and Booost.

Renz: (PASS) I like the silhouette in general but, I’m not too keen on application of snakeskin detailing. It kind of looks tasteless, although the colorway is pretty solid.

News Juan: (BUY) Very nice. I love what adidas is doing with their EQT model. Adding Primeknit and/or Boost on EQT models is a great way to rejuvenate the line. This is by far one of the best adidas collabs I’ve seen all year. Good luck getting a pair, we’re all going to need it.

Andres: (PASS) Great job by adidas to add a Primeknit upper and a Boost midsole to this latest Pusha T collaboration, but I’m just not really feeling the overall design.

adidas NMD R2

adidas NMD R2 Black Pink8

EIC Juan: (BUY) To me, the NMD has already been evolving with City Socks and the various collabs that seeing something called R2 just means that it’s time for a total reboot like a new version of iOS. I’m curious to see how that plays out, but the R2 is a great jumping off point.

Renz: (BUY) The reconfigured upper with the new pattern is nice look and the style itself is a crowd pleaser. I’m looking forward to more colorways too.

News Juan: (BUY) I like it more than the R1 for the simple reason that the pods on the midsoles are gone. I’ve heard that although they do provide stabilization, they reduce the comfort that Boost provides. Being that I’d be using these casually and not for performance, I don’t mind trading in stability for added comfort.

Andres: (PASS) When I first saw NMD R2 I didn’t really like it, but after seeing better pictures of the shoe it looks better every time. Does that mean I would buy a pair? I’d have to see them in person first. These first two colorways are a pass for me though.

Melody Ehsani x Reebok Question

@melodyehsani
@melodyehsani

EIC Juan: (GOT ‘EM) I don’t know if I would have bought a pair of these had I not flown out to Charlotte to meet with Melony and the Iverson family to get a first-hand look at the stories behind the shoe, but I’m glad that I did get that chance. My appreciation for the process behind the making and marketing of a sneaker just grew exponentially. I know it doesn’t always hit and I’ll be interested how the community feels about these, but it’s something all fans should get a chance to check out at some point.

Renz: (WAIT) It’s a pretty solid execution. Maybe I’m just biased towards the colorway, but the sneaker itself is one of faves from the brand.

News Juan: (BUY) By far one of the best looking Reebok Questions I’ve seen in quite some time. Not only is the colorway dope, but the quality, detailing and craftsmanship is top notch. Melody did her thing with this pair.

Andres: (PASS) Love the inspiration behind this Question Mid. I think if I had my own shoe I would create a colorway inspired by the special women in my life as well. However, I don’t really like the colors on the shoe. I’m a fan of vachetta tan leather, but the way it was used on this Question Mid just doesn’t appeal to me.

Solefy x Air Jordan 16

@solefly
@solefly

EIC Juan: (BUY) I used to collect trading cards, so the idea of throwing down money for a shot at a Michael Jordan autograph is not something I’m unfamiliar with. Hell, with 1,500 pairs available and my guess is he signed no less than 10 pairs, those are better odds than some of the stuff Upper Deck has dropped through the years.

Renz: (BUY) Not looking to wear but since it’s pretty limited, I’d consider buying for resale purposes. Hehe.

News Juan: (PASS) Collaboration, limited, exclusive or not, I’m not of a fan of the 16s. This will be an easy pass for me. The $275 price tag makes it easier to pass on as well.

Andres: (PASS) It was already going to be hard to pick up this shoe since there’s only 1,500 pairs, but now that people know that random pairs will come with Michael’s autograph on them will create even more hype. Personally I think it’s a clean shoe, but it’s not something I would see myself wearing.

The successor to the original model that debuted earlier this year with the adidas NMD R2 is set to make its official debut tomorrow.

Featured in olive, the silhouette is essentially an upgraded version of its predecessor. Missed Out On The Art Basel adidas EQT Check These Out

We got our hands on the exclusive adidas EQT ADV 91-16 for Miami’s Art Basel, a shoe that was only released through the new adidas Originals #TLKS initiative on the brand’s Facebook page, but if you’re still looking for a similar aesthetic, these two new general release colorways should do the trick.

The adidas EQT ADV 91-16 manages to flawlessly blend the past and present with references to the adidas Equipment performance line from the early 90s showcased through the side panel three stripe straps. The sleek construction takes aim at adidas Y-3 design cues thanks to a Qasa-like slip-on upper and a comfortable, slimmed down midsole unit. An updated suede forefoot adds a premium touch to the Core Black and Footwear White colorways.

Check out more detailed shots of these two upcoming adidas EQT Support ADV colorways and expect an online release at select international retailers like Asphalt Gold this Saturday, December 3rd.

This adidas NMD XR1 PK Pack Has A Sweet Looking Knit Designed Upper

adidas NMD XR1 PK 1 adidas NMD XR1 PK 2 adidas NMD XR1 PK 3

I’ve always said to myself that if I were to get an NMD (any kind) it would have to come with a Primeknit upper. Not only does this latest adidas NMD XR1 pack comes constructed in Primeknit, it comes with a sweet design on the actual knitted upper. Dropping in a couple days, here’s a good look at the latest and greatest coming out of the adidas NMD XR1 model.

The adidas NMD XR1 PK opts for tonal look coming in your choice of a Black or Linen Primeknit upper. The Primeknit upper comes with a design consisting of linear features done in a darker shade of each respecting colorway. Even more of the same hue can be seen on the midsole pods, while a reflective heel helps give it a nice pop. Last but not least, a White Boost equipped sole unit provides the shoe with some contrast but more importantly superior comfort. Both colorways from the adidas NMD XR1 PK Pack will be releasing on December 3rd for the retail price of $160.

Author’s Take

I’ve always liked the XR1 model more than the regular NMD. I really like the Linen colorway, especially during this time of the year. Great looking pack.

Adidas Adds A Primeknit Upper To The EQT Support ADV

ADIDAS EQT SUPPORT ADV 1 ADIDAS EQT SUPPORT ADV 2 ADIDAS EQT SUPPORT ADV 3

The adidas EQT Support ADV has been one of adidas most underrated sneakers of 2016. Why? I’m not really sure. Maybe the fact they don’t come equipped with Boost or Primeknit technology may cause people to not pay as much attention to them as they should be. But that’s all about to change as the sleek runner is set to release with a new Primeknit upper soon (with a Boost pair expected in 2017).

Today we take a first look at the adidas EQT Support ADV Primeknit in a black and white colorway. Equipped with a new breathable Primeknit upper, the EQT ADV Support has added hits of black on the heel while resting atop a white rubber sole unit.

Look for the adidas EQT ADV Support Primeknit to begin arriving at select adidas retailers later this month.

Author’s Take

I own one pair of the EQT Support ADV in the original mesh construction and I really like it. I’m definitely excited about adidas adding a new Primeknit upper. I also can’t wait to see when it gets a Boost midsole.

As most of you know by now, the adidas EQT ADV 91-16 Art Basel will be an Art Basel exclusive that will be given out to lucky people in attendance. In other words, you can’t buy the shoe, you can only win them. Click here to find out how. For those of you who wanted to get a better look at the shoe, we’ve got the latest images to share with you.

For the most part, the adidas EQT ADV 91-16 Art Basel is fairly simple when it comes to the color scheme used on the shoe. It consists of a White mesh upper contrasted by the reflective hits found in areas such as Three Stripes branding and laces. Art Basel branding appears on the tongue, while the Three Stripes branding extends down to the midsole to provide additional contrast. Get a closer look at the shoe andbe sure to tune into adidas? #TLKS livestream this Thursday, December 1, at 7 p.m. ET. on Facebook for another chance at wining a pair.

Author’s Take

It’s nice, but to be quite honest, I’d rather pick up other colorways that have ben GRs on this model. The White requires too much maintenance in my opinion.

Our First Look At The adidas Tubular Instinct Boost

ADIDAS TUBULAR INSTINCT BOOST 1 ADIDAS TUBULAR INSTINCT BOOST 2 ADIDAS TUBULAR INSTINCT BOOST 3 ADIDAS TUBULAR INSTINCT BOOST 4 ADIDAS TUBULAR INSTINCT BOOST 5 ADIDAS TUBULAR INSTINCT BOOST 6

The adidas Tubular Instinct made its debut earlier this year, but adidas is wasting no time in releasing a version of the shoe equipped with Boost tech. What you see above are the first images of the brand new model, the adidas Tubular Instinct Boost.

Aside from the Boost-infused sole, the first thing that caught my attention is the leather upper. Yes, we’ve seen leather on this model before, but never on an in-house (non-collaborative) release. The shoe makes its debut in a Black or Tan colorway, your choice. Tonal laces and White soles equipped with Boost are seen on both colorways. Additional features include the perforations throughout the shoe, the two-toned laces, the branding on the tongue and the unique liner design on the heel. Get a good look at both pairs and just know that international retailers will begin releasing the model on December 8th.

Author’s Take

I like it. The use of leather on the upper and the Boost on the midsole is definitely a worthwhile upgrade. That Tan pair is calling my name for the Fall season.
