A Rare Look At An adidas Kobe PE For Gilbert Arenas

Now almost forgotten, in the early 2000’s Gilbert Arenas was one of the greatest shooters in the NBA and one of the faces of adidas Basketball. His career may have ended on a low note with the guns-in-the-locker-room incident, but at one time Agent Zero was one of the NBA’s brightest stars. Being an NBA superstar got him certain privileges, like his very own PE colorway of the adidas The Kobe, which he wore during the 2005-06 season. In Wizards team colors, the shoe features a white upper with gold and blue accents, and is only known to exist in two pairs. Now one of them can be yours, as the very rare sneaker has landed on eBay. Enjoy a close look at the unicorn adidas The Kobe PE, and if you happen to be the world’s biggest Gilbert Arenas fan, scoop them up now.

adidas Hassled This Journalist To Prevent A New Shoe From Leaking

The big sneaker brands have tightened up considerably when it comes to preventing leaks from inside the factories and even the company walls, but they’ve never gone to inappropriate lengths to prevent a leak from happening. Today in Chicago, adidas set up shop in the streets for a photoshoot for an upcoming adidas running sneaker that had never been revealed to the public. To have the shoe out on display in one of the biggest cities in the world is not the best way to protect it from being seen (especially when mounds of fake snow act as part of the backdrop of the shoot), so when Anthony Souffle, a journalist from the Chicago Tribune, tried to take some photos of the set, he was confronted by someone from the crew. Read the rest of the details over at Chicago Tribune.

While we patiently wait for adidas to release a multicolor version of the adidas Ultra Boost, another Boost sneaker was just blessed with the multicolor treatment. Today we take a look at the adidas adiZero Prime Boost rockin’ the vibrant Primeknit motif.

The shoe starts off with a black base which is soon covered with a multicolor Primeknit construction particularly on the Three Stripes branding, toe, tongue and collar. A black heel counter, laces and eyestay helps balance things out a bit. A white Boost midsole assures you that this will be one of the most comfortable shoes you will put on. Although it’s not yet available in the states, you can get a pair internationally, (with a hefty price tag) at select international retailers.

Aesthetically, it looks amazing. I’m just curious to see if it’s as comfortable as the Ultra Boost or Pure Boost. If it is, I’m all on it.

If the Highsnobiety branding wasn?t added on the insole and tongue this would look like a general release colorway. It?s decent colorway, but I expected more from a collaboration.

Python Skin Takeover On The adidas EQT Running Cushion

The adidas Equipment imprint has recently been overshadowed by the progress made with the three stripe’s recent Boost cushion system and advancements in Primeknit design. That doesn’t mean that the retro running regime hasn’t been steadily releasing heat well over the past two years though, and adidas EQT continues to do so. This adidas EQT Running Cushion would be the perfect consolation prize for anyone who missed out on Pusha T’s black snakeskin collaboration, as this general release pairs an ominous synthetic python with soft touches of matching suede to coincide with a light grey ribbon branding and heel construction. What do you think of the look? Buy this pair today from retailers like Rock City Kicks.
