We all know that adidas has been making major strides over the last few years and has been soaring in popularity thanks in big part to Kanye West and their invention of Boost technology. So how much of a leap have they made? Well we can now say that they have officially “jumped over the Jumpman.”

According to NDP Group?s Matt Powell, adidas has overtaken Jordan Brand as the #2 sneaker brand in the United States for sports footwear.

Adidas sport footwear sales grew more than half for themonth and share grew by nearly half, to 13 percent.

The adidas NMD R2 will be releasing in a Triple Black colorway sometime in the near future (hopefully) as today we bring you the latest look at the sneaker.

Constructed out of a breathable and lightweight Primeknit upper, this NMD R2 comes with tonal detailing on the three stripes branding on the side panels, heel tab, elastic ankle, and laces. The highlight of this NMD R2 is the blacked out full-length Boost midsole that has been paired with a matching black rubber outsole.

New colorways of the adidas Superstar are here as we say goodbye to Summer and welcome in the Fall season. The pairs that you see above start off with classic all white leather uppers while your choice of Linen Khaki and Olive Green accents make their way onto the leather three stripes branding on the side panels as well as the leather heel tab. Additional details include gold foil branding on the tongue and side panels for a nice added pop and white trefoil logos on the heel. Up next for the adidas Y-3 Ayero is this brand new Core Black colorway that’s beginning to arrive at select Y-3 retailers. Rocking a timeless Black and White finish, the adidas Y-3 Ayero consists of a mesh upper, accented by the leather and neoprene hits found throughout. Branding appears by way of the Y-3 hits noted on the medial side. There’s also the large logo placed on the leather heel strap to help give the shoe a lasting impression. Additional features on the shoe include the waxed laces, the cleated rubber midsole and a wrap-around tongue design. adidas Originals introduces new a project taken straight out of science-fiction ? A//D.

Drawing from archive adidas designs from the early millennium, the A//D (adidas Parallel Dimension) series tells the story of the discovery of an alternate Universe following the appearance of a massive black-hole in outer space. Through a number of expeditions into the parallel dimension, researchers find that the two worlds are virtually identical, with the exception of minor aesthetic differences. Investigations into two adidas footwear models from the early 2000s reveal striking disparities. Though the two silhouettes ? the Twinstrike and Adistar Comp ? retain their original tooling and are constructed from familiar materials of the time, their uppers mark a complete departure in style and aesthetic. As a result, their parallel iterations have been dubbed the Twinstrike a//d and Adistar Comp a//d.

First up, the Twinstrike a//d presents a clear departure from the early 2000s runner?s familiar aesthetic. Climacool mesh, premium suede, glossy leathers and reflective details are combined in a striking, futuristic design, finished with a complex ergonomic lacing system for optimum fit.

Accompanying the Twinstrike a//d, the Adistar Comp a//d features a similar material construction of Climacool mesh and premium suede atop the original tooling of its namesake, whilst the shoe?s lacing system is defined by webbing tape panels across the vamp and sides. The shoe?s structural 3 stripes are distinguished by a geometric chain motif, supported by a contrast molded TPU heel cap with adidas trefoil branding.

Both shoes feature a wealth of details alluding to the interdimensional explorations that led to their discovery ? including a number that require closer inspection to uncover. What results is a disorienting exposition of 3- stripes history, told through the eyes of a world that was exactly the same, and yet somehow, totally different.

The adidas Twinstrike a//d ($240) and the adidas Adistar Comp a//d ($160) will both release on September 21st at select adidas Consortium retailers.
