Another look at the exclusive Air Jordan 12 CNY is featured, which essentially celebrates Chinese New Year — January 28th.

Donning a timeless combination of black and white, reminiscent of the AJ 12 Taxi — white leather covers the majority of its upper, which also bears a 3M reflective overlay that activates when exposed to flash. Textured black leather covers the mudguard and heel tab, as well as woodgrain detailing adorning the miniature branded side panels and the top two upper eyelets.

A notable focal point is also directed at the tongue, bearing Chinese text of ????, which translates to “20” — in reference to Jordan Brand?s presence in the Chinese market.

Retailing for $250, you can purchase this pair at select JB and Nike retailers on January 28th ? Chinese New Year, while select stockists overseas have it releasing on January 21st.

Initially offered in 2001, the classic Air Jordan 11 Low Columbia will be returning this year for the first time, sixteen years later.

This forthcoming 2017 rendition essentially stays true to its original counterpart. The defining hue encompasses the profile with its patent leather overlays, while the remaining upper portion in white is comprised of premium leather. Finally, a matching white midsole unit and translucent outsole rounds out the simplistic design.

Retailing for $175, you can buy this pair at select Nike and JB stockists once again, starting April 15th.

University of North Carolina head men?s basketball coach, Roy Williams, celebrated his 800th career win last night with a victory over Syracuse.

Jordan Brand honors this historic achievement with gifting an autographed pair of the Air Jordan 1 Low Pinnacle in metallic silver from Tar Heel legend, Michael Jordan. Packaged in a special laser engraved stained oak box as well, the commemorative box highlights moments throughout Williams? career — Eight NCAA Final Fours, two National Championships and induction into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. The inside lid also features his total number of wins at each of the school’s he’s coached (382 of which have come while at UNC), as well as the names of all his assistants.

Williams ranks ninth all-time in the NCAA for number of Division I wins. It’s also worth noting that Williams is credited for his help with recruiting then high-school standout Michael Jordan to the Tar Heels.

Furthermore, JB is providing 800 tees to UNC to be available for purchase with proceeds going to UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, a cause Williams supports.

2017 will bring us new colorways of the Air Jordan 6 as we just saw the debut of the Hyper Pink pair this past weekend.

Another pair that we can add to this year’s list is this Still Blue colorway. When you see this shade of blue you can’t help but think of Michael’s days in North Carolina before he turned pro. This Air Jordan 6 features a tonal upper that alternates between smooth and tumbled leather. The laces, tongue, inner liner, and heel tab have also been done in the same shade of blue with contrasting white landing on the outsole and part of the heel tab.

There is no release date yet for this Air Jordan 6 but it is expected to arrive some time in the Spring. Stay tuned to Kicks On Fire for updates.

The World Series Champion Chicago Cubs visited president Barack Obama at the White House today, who happens to be a fan of the Cubs.

Dexter Fowler, who is no longer with with the Cubs but was a part of last year’s championship team, gifted president Obama a special pair of Air Jordan 4s. Seen above, the shoe is actually the Air Jordan 11LAB4 which features a full patent leather upper inspired by the Jordan 11 and it comes in all-black. Details include the Presidential seal on the tongue and Obama’s signature lasered by the ankle. The shoes were also housed in a special premium wooden box with Derek Jeter?s RE2PECT slogan covering the shoes.

Earlier today Nike and Jordan Brand unveiled their blacked-out collection of PE colorways for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and now we get a closer look at the Jordan sneakers within the honorary pack. Being worn by Jordan Brand athletes around the NBA during today’s traditional full slate of games to honor the great civil rights leader, the collection contains the Air Jordan 31, Melo M13, CP3.X, Super.Fly 5, and Extra.Fly, each in fully black colorways from top to bottom with “BHM” branding. Get a detailed look at all five models here, and look for them on the court today and throughout Black History Month in February.
