The Air Jordan 1 Rare Air Shadow Is Now Arriving At Retailers

The next colorway of the Air Jordan 1 Rare Air is beginning to arrive at select Jordan Brand retailers. If you weren’t feeling the Max Orange colorway, maybe this Air Jordan 1 Rare Air Shadow suits your style a bit better.

The official colorway of the Air Jordan 1 Rare Air Shadow has the model done in a Cool Grey, Black and White leather upper that mimic (sort of?) the look of the OG Shadow colorway sans the White paneling. The version of the Jordan 1 gets its Rare Air name due to the alternative branding such as the Nike Air on the heel and Air Jordan on the collar. A Jumpman on the tongue, White midsole and Grey outsole complete OG-inspired look of the shoe. Are you feeling this version of the Jordan 1? If so, you can now find these at select retailers for $140.

Jordan Brand Gears Up For The Post-Season Push With The Air Jordan 12 Low Playoffs

Jordan Brand already has big plans for the NBA All-Star Weekend festivities, but what happens after that celebratory break in the NBA schedule passes? Most teams hunker down and get serious about their respective playoff pushes or get rid of assets in hopes of tanking before the NBA Draft. Jordan Brand is gearing up for the post-season with one of the more iconic original colorways of the Air Jordan 12 returning, only this time in low-top remastered form.

The Air Jordan 12 Low “Playoffs” featuring that simple combination of black tumbled leather, a white mudguard and small hints of Chicago-inspired Varsity Red will release on February 25th, 2017 for $170 USD for the perfect combination of old and new. While we’d love to see a true and through Air Jordan 12 “Playoffs” retro, seeing the iconic colorway in low form is definitely something we can get behind.

These first retail images come courtesy of Jimmy Jazz and showcase the Metallic Silver lace eyelets, traditional heel branding, and carbon fiber on the outsole. What do you think? Check out more shots below and stay tuned for more Air Jordan Release Dates right here on Sneaker News.

Jordan Brands Alternate Series Continues This February With New Air Jordan 8

You might not notice by looking at this simple Chicago-themed Air Jordan 8, but it’s not an original colorway of Mike’s unique dual-strapped eighth signature model. Only three colorways made up the original 1993 release slate of the AJ8 ranging from the Bugs Bunny-inspiration, the lauded Aqua theme, and a Playoff variation.

Times were simpler back then, before the days of the infinite colorways hitting the release slate and trickling down to the sales section. That’s what we love about Jordan Brand’s ongoing “Alternate Collection” – they’ve been creating colorways that Mike could’ve worn on-court with the Air Jordan 2, Air Jordan 4, and Air Jordan 5 Low. This Air Jordan 8 “Alternate” will hit retailers on February 25th, 2017 rounding out a fairly busy schedule for Jordan Brand’s February 2017.

The Air Jordan 8 Alternate features a simple white leather upper, additional micro-perforations on the side panels, updated Metallic Red accents on the premium strap adjustments, and a stark contrast on that bold 90s midsole pattern. Jordan Brand splashes the heel tab with ‘1993’ in a nod to the year the shoe was created while the inner tongue lining matches that unique midsole pattern. What do you think of the Alternate 8s? Check out more retail photos courtesy of Finish Line below and head over to our Air Jordan Release Dates page for more updates.

Air Jordan 1 Retro High BHM To Release Next Saturday

Jordan Brand’s annual Black History Month Collection took a surprising left turn this year, as the Jumpman included two head-turning Air Jordan 1 creations that focused on utilizing the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG silhouette instead of the usual Air Jordan 1 Mid model, while the brand even brought back an oft-forgotten trainer from the early 2000s in the Jordan Trunner LX. The differences from years past don’t stop there either, as today we get official photos of the coming Air Jordan 1 “BHM” for adult sizes, slated to release on February 11th.

The simple yet premium tumbled black leather of the Jordan 1 BHM ditches the prints and patterns native to Jordan Brand’s usual Black History Month celebration. Instead, the Jumpman added removable and swappable velcro patches on the Wings branding, the Swoosh side panels, and the alternating tongue logos featuring traditional Jumpman logos and Nike’s ‘BHM’ crest. What results is a simple, refined look perfect for any occasion. We just hope that we see more of the removable patches on the Wings and Swoosh branding in more upcoming Air Jordan 1 offerings. What do you think of the look?

Check out more official photos of this year’s Air Jordan 1 BHM below and while we don’t have an exact price point for this pair yet, know that we’ll keep you updated via our Air Jordan Release Dates page.
