There’s a new flashy colorway of the adidas Originals Stan Smith arriving at retailers right now.

Linking up to collaborate with Raf Simons once again, the two parties have created a new colorway of the classic Stan Smith that will be hard to miss. Known as the Raf Simons x adidas originals Stan Smith Metallic Copper, this colorway of the iconic sneaker comes dressed in a shiny Metallic Copper upper with a perforated “R” logo on the side panels for Raf Simons instead of the traditional three stripes branding. Tonal laces and a tonal sole unit complete the look on this pair of Stan Smiths.

Switching out the three stripes branding on the side panels for an R is something that you don’t see every day so that’s cool. Also the colorway is definitely for the flashy type, so you wont have to worry about being noticed.

The trio of sneakers in the set includes the EQT Guidance and the Stan Smith in two colorways, each featuring clean, refined makeovers. The Stan Smith “Flowers” features a luxurious white jacquard textile upper adorned with tonal flowers and a tonal tongue tag to keep them looking minimalist and classy. The next Stan Smith is at the other end of the spectrum, featuring a dark “Tuxedo” theme in premium black nubuck with black satin heel tabs, also with tonal tongue tags. Closing out the pack of very successful looking sneakers is the EQT Running Guidance, which features an elegant all-gold upper in leather and mesh. Tying all three models together is a rich red insole, as well as extra red laces. Sneakersnstuff have chosen three successful Swedish ambassadors to model the shoes: singer Sabina Ddumba, creator of the Byredo perfume house Ben Gorham, and start-up marketing manager Babba Canales.

The “Celebrate Success” pack will be sold exclusively in-store and online by Sneakersnstuff, with the Stan Smith “Flower” releasing on April 16th, the Stan Smith “Tuxedo” releasing on April 20th, and the Running Guidance “All Gold” releasing on April 23rd. Summer is almost here and adidas is preparing us with a couple of fresh new colorways of the adidas ZX Flux Racer Asym.

After showing you the upcoming Primeknit version last week that, we now take a look at a couple of new options that utilize different materials. These two colorways of the adidas ZX Flux Racer Asym come dressed in a two-tone waffle mesh textile on the upper with an eye-catching all-over fade effect on the upper that gives off a washed-out aesthetic. Other details include contrast color pops on the overlays and a semi-translucent midsole. There will be two colorways releasing, core black and blue.

Both of these new colorways of the adidas ZX Flux Racer Asym will be releasing on April 14th at participating adidas retailers.

Author’s Take

After seeing the Primeknit version last week, I have to say that I prefer those over these mesh pairs. These will most likely come at a lower price though so they’re still a good alternative.

When it comes to iterations/hybrid versions of the adidas Originals Superstar, the adidas Superstar Slip On is in a league of its own. Rocking a one of a kind look, the slip on version of the Superstar share very few similarities to the original Superstar model. Today we take a look at two brand new colorway for the ladies coming in either khaki green and a bold teal.

When it comes to the construction of the slip on, the shoe comes dressed in a open mesh upper paired up with the elastic forefoot straps that not only provide a new dimension to the shoe but are also there to provide a lockdown fit. One of the few parts of the shoe that remains true to form is the shell toe. Debossed branding appears on the tongue and heel strap of the shoe. The khaki green or bold teal upper is contrasted by the all white sole unit seen below. Available internationally, let us know if this is a version of the Superstar that you’d wear.

The Stan Smith has been created in an endless amount of variations. It’s impossible to count how many different versions/styles the model has gone through. With that being said, the Raf Simons x adidas Originals Stan Smith Triple Strap is still one of the versions that manages to stand out the most due to its distinct and creative appearance.

This collaborative effort has the classic adidas tennis shoe rocking a black upper contrasted by the three white leather straps that not only act a a caging system but also as Three Stripes branding. This Bait x adidas Originals Stan Smith Vulc dubbed “Happy 420,” consists as the latest iteration of the silhouette.

Essentially taking cues from the code-term that refers to the annual consumption of cannabis or as a way to identify oneself with cannabis culture, the sneaker’s upper is comprised of a natural hemp that has been heat pressed with a stoned-out pattern.

Further detailed with a hairy suede green heel tab and the iconic trefoil logo in contrasting white, the model’s tongue label also receives a unique branding that is inspired by the medicinal nature of hemp and how it is now considered a pharmaceutical drug.

Other notable finishes include cork footbeds with a pharmaceutical sticker that express the side effects of the silhouette, stash pockets on the interior of the tongue and three options of laces with a Stoned-out, black and white pair.

Retailing for $120, you can purchase a pair starting this Friday, April 15th directly through Baitme via raffle.

Following Tokyo and Boston, this adidas EQT Running Support 93 London edition continues the brand’s “Marathon Series” which was revealed earlier in the year.

Essentially inspired by the classic trainer that debuted in 1976 as part of the ?city series? which included additional city colorways for Berlin and Dublin, the model is composed of a mixed suede and leather upper highlighted in black and red.

White nylon underlays are applied on the signature three stripe branding across its side panels, while the pristine hue flows into the midsole and transitions back to red. Furthermore, the national flag of the U.K. is featured on the heel tab to coordinate with its theme respectively.

Rounded out by a classic gum outsole that perfectly complements its overall aesthetic, the sneaker is priced at $150 and can be purchased at select adidas stockists worldwide starting April 23rd.

Kobe has been part of the Nike team for over a decade now, but before he was reppin’ for the Swoosh he was on team adidas.

With Kobe’s final game ever taking place this Wednesday, we have just found out that adidas has also created a farewell sneaker pack for the Black Mamba. Posted by Toronto Raptors guard Kyle Lowry on his Instagram yesterday, above we can see what’s being known as the adidas Kobe Vino Pack that features the adidas Top Ten 2000 and the adidas Crazy 8. Both pairs have been hit with cork detailing and pay homage to Kobe Bryant’s “Vino” nickname that he received as he’s gotten “older.” There is also an adidas Crazy 97 that is part of the pack but it’s not pictured above.

There is no word on whether or not this adidas Kobe Vino Pack will be releasing or if it’s exclusive to certain people but we’ll keep you updated here at Kicks On Fire.

Out of the two silhouette in the picture I’m only a fan of the Crazy 8. However, I feel that the Vino/cork theme was executed better on the Top Ten 2000. Hopefully adidas does release this pack in the near future.

The adidas Pure Boost ZG is a new modified version of the classic adidas Pure Boost that exploded in popularity upon its release. We are barely starting to see colorways release with this Navy option being one of the first.

Looking at the adidas Pure Boost ZG, we can see that the upper is composed of mesh on the upper for that lightweight feel and breathability. Other important details of this shoe include a BOOST midsole, EVA outsole, a molded heel counter, and cage side panels for a lock-down fit.
