adidas recently unveiled The Mercury Center — a three-day incubator for creativity in soccer.

Situated within the Barker Hangar at the Santa Monica Airport, The Mercury Center will be used to develop and exhibit several projects aimed at delivering firsts in the fields of technique and skill, design, style, technology, and entertainment.

Motion graphics artists have been appointed to create an unprecedented approach for playing and documenting the game, while special customizers featuring Chain Gang LA and The Shoe Surgeon will collaborate with attendees to make one-of-a-kind, personalized apparel and footwear, in addition to producing bespoke pieces.

Furthermore, a team of illustrators and designers will create custom pieces of apparel for the attendees with pens, patches, and screen-printing. Also, in conjunction with Guillermo Andrade of Four Two Four on Fairfax, custom jewelry pieces to celebrate this summer?s biggest moments and the players will be presented as well.

Additionally, Coupler MFG, will reimagine traditional soccer equipment and fabricate them onsite, while the Odd Division will utilize adidas? miCoach Smart Ball technology to develop a virtual reality experience.

Finally, Joe Kay, founder of Soulection, will create soundscapes and DJ sets in real-time.

The Mercury Center is open for select guests through June 3, with appearances from soccer stars, artists, musicians, and Los Angeles-based personalities.

A special viewing party for the United States vs. Colombia Copa America match will be held tomorrow night.

Highlighting two pairs, consisting of a forest green and purplish/blue colorways, the model flaunts a streamlined profile. Constructed of perforated pigskin suede to emit luxe appeal, the silhouettes are accentuated with white leather detailing utilized for its three stripe motif on the side panels, heel tab and tongue.

Adidas has just released a new colorway of the popular Ultra Boost runner.

With Summer only a few weeks away, adidas has decided to cover the lightweight runner in bright Collegiate Royal all over the Primeknit upper. If you look closely you can see that there’s a gradient effect on the toe that features a couple more shades of blue. The heel counter is done in Collegiate Navy and the rubber outsole in black while the Boost midsole stays in the traditional white.

Don’t say we or Josh Harrison of the Pittsburgh Pirates didn’t warn you, but keep your eyes peeled as it appears like something special is coming out of adidas Baseball. Harrison recently tweeted out a picture of an all-Gold adidas Baseball cleat with a caption reading “Uh. Oh. @adidasBaseball about to drop something big!?

What could it be? Being that the MLB All-Star break is fast approaching, could it be that it could be some kind of Gold Glove/Silver Slugger (Check out the cleats Harrison is wearing above) collection that commemorates the All-Star game? Hmm. I guess only time will tell. Stay tuned!

?There?s so much in major league baseball that you have to get used to. You?re moving nonstop. Now that I have that experience, it really helps me out. And the rest of the guys, too ? we were a really young team overall so to get that experience of playing in the postseason for the first time, it?s only going to help us moving forward. My expectations individually and our expectations as a team are bigger than anybody?s out there, too. We expect a lot out of ourselves, we hold each other accountable for it and I think when you have those types of characteristics as a team it sets you up very well.? 

?I heard [the pressure]. I didn?t necessarily take it in. Obviously, anytime you?re a high draft pick, there?s more pressure on you. More people want you to do really well. adidas Originals teams up with Russ Bengston and DJ Clark Kent to create the Quickstrike Pack. The pack will feature special custom colorways of the adidas Pro Model and the adidas Originals Superstar that were created as a way to celebrate the return of the Quickstrike series on Complex.

Both the adidas Pro Model and the adidas Originals Superstar were chosen by Russ Bengston and DJ Clark Kent as their all-time favorite models coming out of adidas. The Pro Model will come with a full camo leather upper accented by the Black and Gold accents found on the Three Stripes, heel tab, laces, tongue and Quickstrike and adidas branding. A White sole unit and shell toe completes the look. The next adidas Yeezy Boost has just gotten a release date and it’s coming at us quick.

Show by Kim Kardashian, Kris Jenner and others in the last couple of weeks, the adidas Yeezy Boost 750 Grey Gum is now scheduled to release on June 11th. This Yeezy 750 features a grey suede upper with tonal detailing on the laces and midfoot strap. What stands out the most from this pair is the glow-in-the-dark gum Yeezy Boost sole that has lots of people excited.
