If you managed to pick up the adidas Yeezy Boost 750 Grey Gum that dropped this weekend, consider yourself lucky. Although the shoes are priced at a hefty $350, it still managed to sell out in under one minute (according to Kanye). With that being said, if you happened to pay $350 (or much more), I’m sure you expect quality and craftsmanship on your pair. Unfortunately, some of the pairs were not up to standards, to say the least. There have been instances in which some people are saying that when they zip up the shoes, the zipper ends up breaking. This isn’t anything new, as past colorways of the same model have had the same issue. Even the Triple Black versions came with new zippers and some of those ended up breaking as well. Rocking a suede construction, the adidas Gazelle comes in a tonal Light Purple upper that’s covered in micro perforations. The Light Purple is offset by the hits of White placed on the Three Stripes, tongue, heel tab and sole unit. Luxe. Premium. Exotic. There’s plenty of things you can call the upcoming women’s adidas Originals Superstar 80s Snakeskin. At the end of the day, the sneaker is dope regardless of what you call it.

This latest version of the adidas Originals Superstar tries on a new look on a familiar color scheme. The comes constructed out of a nubuck upper covered in a embossed snakeskin print to give the shoe its luxe aesthetic. The original shelltoe construction remains true to form to help give the shoe some of its vintage feel. Premium leather overlays placed on the heel-tab and Three Stripes round out the look of the Black and White sneaker. The adidas NMD is without a doubt one of the brand’s best selling models of 2016. If you thought the model was hyped as is, this potential collaboration with Bape could very well be one of the most anticipated releases of the year.

Although nothing has been confirmed, it appears as if Bape’s signature camouflage covers the shoe’s upper. Another thing worth mentioning is that the shoe appears to be a NMD-R1 variation, which means that it Primeknit is present on the upper. Projected 2016 NBA lottery pick Jaylen Brown will be signing a footwear and apparel endorsement deal with adidas, as reported by The Vertical.

Brown spent one year at California and will be entering the 2016 NBA Draft without having hired an agent. Brown’s shoe deal with adidas is worth north of $1 million per year which would put him among the top handful of players in his class from a footwear endorsement perspective.

For adidas, the signing represents a shift in strategy as it looks to reposition itself in the basketball market. The brand is entering the final season of being the official outfitter of the NBA, and it is looking to spend its future sponsorship and marketing dollars on signing players. Adidas has been extremely aggressive in this year’s draft, angling to sign as many as seven of the projected top 10 picks. The NBA draft is June 23.

Adidas has prepared us all for Father’s Day by releasing a new baseball cleat collection inspired by the aforementioned holiday.

These Limited Edition “Father’s Day” cleats feature a bold blue upper with a classic paisley pattern all over the shoe. White accents have then been placed on the toe, heel, three stripes branding, and the outsole. The paisley pattern on the upper is meant to be an homage to the classic gift for dad as many times we’ve given our dad ties that feature the popular pattern.
