An Early Look At The adidas Crazy Explosive That Will Be Worn By Andrew Wiggins

ADIDAS CRAZY EXPLOSIVE 1 ADIDAS CRAZY EXPLOSIVE 2

Not too long ago we showed you leaked images of the next adidas basketball sneaker, the adidas Crazy Explosive.

Today we take a look at the new silhouette in two different PE colorways that have been created for rising star Andrew Wiggins of the Minnesota Timberwolves. The adidas Crazy Explosive features a Primeknit upper and comes in a high top build. Other details include a unique lacing system that spreads down to the side panels, Flywire-like cables for added support and a lock-down fit, and a Boost midsole. Take a look at these Home and Away colorways for Andrew Wiggins and let us know your thoughts on the silhouette. Are you a fan?

Author’s Take

At first glance these look really weird. The lacing system is too wide for my liking and the silhouette is also too high. It kind of looks like a boxing shoe.

An adidas NMD Sample With Lots Of Print On The Upper

Adidas NMD Sample 1 Adidas NMD Sample 2

Here’s something you don’t see every day. An adidas NMD with a printed upper. We’re so used to seeing a solid look on the upper, that seeing the shoe in this light ends up giving the model a whole new look.

This particular adidas NMD Sample comes with an upper with “The Brand With the 3 Stripes” slogan written in a different number of languages. The all-Black mesh upper is offset by the White lettering placed all over the upper, as well as on the branding on the tongue and Boost midole. Black and White blocks also appear on the midsole, while the heel counter and pull tab comes in Black. The odds of these releasing to the public are slim to none, but it’s still pretty cool to stare, right?

Author’s Take

These would go great with a Hardwood Classics Toronto Raptors jersey (that I don’t own yet), but I’ll have to pass. It would be hard to wear these with something else.

Another Look At The Chocolate adidas Ultra Boost

ADIDAS ULTRA BOOST 3 ADIDAS ULTRA BOOST 2 ADIDAS ULTRA BOOST 1

Back in February we got a first look at a new chocolate colorway of the highly popular adidas Ultra Boost.

We still don’t know if we’ll be seeing the unique colorway get a release date or not, but we do have more images to show you today. This Ultra Boost features a white and grey Primeknit upper with chocolate detailing on the laces,, heel counter, side panel cages, and the leather tongue. The leather hit on the tongue is a new detail that hasn?t really been seen in the past that adds a nice touch of luxury to this otherwise casual runner. Finishing things off is a white BOOST midsole and black rubber outsole.

Take a look at the newest images above of this adidas Ultra Boost and stay tuned for possible release details.

A Raptors Theme Hits The adidas Ultra Boost ST

Whether it was intentional by adidas or not, this latest colorway of the women’s Ultra Boost ST will have many of us thinking “Raptors” thanks to the similar color scheme of the original Toronto Raptors uniforms. Whether they remind you of Oliver Miller or not, few will disagree that this latest version of the Ultra Boost with extra stability (for those that actually run in them) is looking nice in its vibrant blend of purple Primeknit with bright red accents and a lighter purple inner lining. The ladies can grab their pair now at adidas Running retailers like Oneness.

Andrew Wiggins To Wear The adidas Crazy Explosive Next Season

Andrew Wiggins and the Minnesota Timberwolves have a lot to look forward to next season. A young core and the addition of Tom Thibodeau will make for an exciting 2016-2017 campaign and that means that adidas Hoops can be even more excited about the explosive tendencies of their young star. A. Wiggins was a proud campaigner of the adidas Crazylight Boost system for the past two seasons and next year he’ll be donning the adidas Crazy Explosive. The pair initially looks like a wrestling boot thanks to a high-arching ankle support system while breathable Primeknit holds down the upper. A Tubular-like midsole unit could even boast Boost technology on the heel for added cushion, but nothing’s been confirmed yet. Check out an alternate Wiggins PE after the break and stay tuned for more of the latest adidas basketball plans right here on Sneaker News.

Triple White Drapes The adidas EQT Support Primeknit

adidas EQT Support adidas EQT Support 1 adidas EQT Support 2

Previously offered in an OG colorway, the adidas EQT Support Primeknit is treated in the timeless triple white finish just in time for summer.

As suggested, the sneaker’s composition has been revamped with the intricately knitted material to ensure more breathability throughout, as well as offering a more lightweight feel.

Further defined by a sock-like collar, the model is reinforced with tonal synthetic overlays on the heel, while the signature three stripes are subtly seen across its side panels.

This pair is suggested to debut at select adidas retailers overseas soon, but stay tuned for its availability stateside.

Author’s Take

I like the modernized look and change of materials. You can’t go wrong with this pair and the obvious downside is keeping it clean.

Kanye West Got Fathers Day adidas Sneakers By Mache Customs

San Francisco-based Chronicled wants to put an end to the growing black market of high-quality counterfeit sneakers through the creation of encrypted smart tags. The Chronicled tags contain unique product profiles stored on an Ethereal blockchain where customers can scan them with their smart phone and register the shoe’s name, size, manufacture date, photos, and more. In honor of the new technology, Chronicled has enlisted Mache Customs to showcase the freshly minted tags with a unique “Father’s Day” collection in honor of Kanye West and his daughter North. The bespoke pairs include a militaristic take on the adidas Ultra Boost complete with a gothic font similar to that found on The Life of Pablo merchandise. North’s adidas Superstar gets overhauled with a pink base and gold compass graphics pointing north in honor of her name. Check out more photos below and stay tuned for more updates regarding Chronicle’s new authentication technology right here on Sneaker News.

Retailing for $100, you can purchase a pair now at select adidas retailers, as well as through its online shop.

Not surprisingly, men’s sizes are now sold out, although women’s and kid’s sizing are still offered, with prices listed at $100 and $80 respectively.

Author’s Take

I?m pretty biased towards runners and it?s no surprise that I like this silhouette. Overall, the design is pretty sleek and appealing. I?m not keen on the pattern much, but the colorway is solid. This should get a lot of attention nonetheless.

Nice set and I’m just biased towards the runner. I would consider purchasing that colorway without the custom detailing, if it ever releases.

There A Multicolor adidas Originals Superstar Primeknit On The Way

Superstar 1 Superstar 3 Superstar 2 Superstar 4 Superstar 5 Superstar 6

We have already seen the adidas Originals Superstar get hit with a Primeknit upper, but we’ve never seen anything like this before.

The iconic silhouette that was made popular by Run DMC back in the day will once again be outfitted with a Primeknit upper but this time in multicolor colorway. This Superstar has been given a white-based Primeknit upper with an array of colors all over the breathable material. Other details include black accents on the three stripes branding, heel and on the tongue branding, as well as a white rubber shell toe and midsole.

Stay tuned to Kicks On Fire for a stateside release date.

Author’s Take

I feel like the colors aren’t strong enough on this pair of Superstars and there’s still to much white. Adidas can do a much better job in creating a “multicolor” Primeknit sneaker.
