If this tennis ball colorway of the adidas D Lillard 2 looks familiar to you that’s because Damian Lillard was seen wearing the same exact shoe back in July at the Portland Crystal Ballroom.

A month later the adidas D Lillard 2 Tennis Ball is officially unveiled by adidas. Like we previously mentioned, Dame wore this D Lillard 2 during his sold-out first rap show in downtown Portland on July 15. This D Lillard 2 is designed with a felt-like upper in fluorescent yellow but most importantly remains Oakland certified and continues to shine light on his journey to the NBA.

“The reason I wanted make and wear those shoes at my first show was all for my family. When we were kids, we used to play all types of games on these tennis courts around the corner from my grandma?s house in Brookfield,? Dame explained. ?When all my cousins and family came out on stage with me, it was like we were back on those tennis courts again.”

The adidas D Lillard 2 Tennis Ball will release in limited quantities on August 30th for $105 exclusively at Foot Locker 34th Street in New York City.

I’m not a huge fan of volt, but the backstory behind this colorway gives a lot more meaning to the shoe. It’s definitely an eye-catcher.

Set to release soon is a new colorway of the adidas Ultra Boost that will be seen at all times, even in the dark.

New images have just surfaced of the adidas Ultra Boost Glow In The Dark that comes dressed in a grey Primeknit upper with Solar Yellow accents present throughout the Primeknit as well as on the heel counter, which also glows in the dark. The shoe then sits atop a traditional white Boost midsole as well as a black Continental rubber outsole.

No release date is available yet for this Ultra Boost but stay tuned to Kicks On Fire for updates.

Great heists have been romanticized through movies, television, literature, and music, and now Boston boutique Concepts is immortalizing one of the greatest American fine art heists and a noteworthy airport robbery with their latest adidas Consortium collaboration due out this Saturday, September 3rd exclusively at both Cambridge and New York Concepts locations. (A global release at select retailers will happen the following Saturday, September 10th). The adidas EQT Boost 93/16 is the perfect combination of both old and new, as the legendary adidas EQT line teams up with the technological advancement of Boost cushioning for a supremely comfortable ride with a vintage styled upper.

The “Sage” colorway is inspired by the ‘Blue Room’ at the Isabella Stuart Gardner Museum in Boston, Massachusetts where a total of 13 paintings were stolen with a reported worth of over $500 million. No arrests were ever made despite an investigation by the FBI. The Concepts adidas Consortium EQT Support 93/16 is a work of art itself, as a premium suede and nylon upper is accented by light pink three stripe ribbons on the side panel. A perforated suede toe box adds ventilation while Concepts-branded lace jewels create a touch of luxury to match the gold Torsion bar. An all white Boost midsole unit perfectly compliments the rest of the silhouette.

The “Black/White” colorway of the Concepts adidas EQT Support 93/16 is inspired by another heist that was a major plot point in the movie Goodfellas – the Lufthansa Heist at JFK Airport in New York City where over $5 million was stolen. The heist was one of the longest investigations to ever occur, with 35 years separating the act from actual convictions. The pair keeps things simple with an elegant display of black suede and nylon throughout. A contrasting white medial side adds a unique color blocking while a multi-color adidas EQT logo is inspired by the color of the airport’s interior during the 1970s.

Last weekend, Canadian boutique Livestock joined forces with adidas Consortium for a luxurious collaboration that focused on the theme of motion and rhythm. The two-pair collaborative effort featured the lifestyle-ready Livestock adidas Samba and the Livestock adidas PureBoost in a completely new construction. Livestock had the exclusive release on August 27th, and now this upcoming weekend a bevy of stores will be stocking the two pairs on Saturday, September 3rd.

While the adidas Samba is subtle and refined thanks to a hairy bolstered suede upper and smokey outsole, the Livestock adidas PureBoost Primeknit ZG is what will spike most people’s interest. The Livestock adidas Pureboost adds a new elastic strap across the midfoot while vibrant crimson accents pair beautifully with the white three stripe branding on the medial side. adidas is getting ready for the US Open with this vibrant adidas D Lillard 2 “Tennis Ball” release on August 30th. Damian Lillard has spent his summer working on his game to help carry the Portland Trailblazers to another successful Western Conference playoff birth, but he’s also been working on his rap career. This special edition adidas D Lillard 2 was worn by Dame Dolla during his first rap show in downtown Portland this past July.

The D Lillard 2 “Tennis Ball” edition takes its cues from the legendary Alife x Reebok Court Victory Pump as a similar felt-like upper features a tennis ball inspired fluorescent yellow colorway. What happens when you receive NMDs one after another for a solid week? You don’t have an adidas NMD Day, you have an adidas NMD WEEK. Yes, emphasis on WEEK.

With the NMD and all of its various configurations grabbing all the attention for the past several months, it is a hit with the entire sneaker community and the general public as well. Look, how can you go wrong with Primeknit and Boost, right? So far, the three stripes has managed to keep the train going with several hyped released, like the reissues of the OG colorway and the newer entries like the City Sock and the NMD R1 with various styles from mesh to jersey knit to reflective.

So about that picture up top. Well, were in Santa Monica for reasons that I can’t disclose here, but I brought along our NMD haul for the past week courtesy of adidas Originals, Champs Sports and Eastbay. Check out how it all went down by watching our recap video.

adidas Originals continues to surprise us with every adidas NMD release, as this latest NMD R1 Primeknit “Tri-Color” Pack utilizes a brand new three stripe color blocking for a change of pace. The woven Primeknit construction has always been the most sought after of the numerous adidas NMD variations as a sock-like fit around the ankle adds supreme comfort to match the breathability found throughout.

Here the adidas NMD R1 Primeknit shines in both a black upper paired with red, white, and blue three stripe branding or a marbled white and black speckled aesthetic with red, black, and royal stripes. Each colorway also offers up that international “The Brand With The Three Stripes” wordmark on the heel tab which now features subtle matching stripes of red and blue to coincide with the new branding choice. There’s still no word yet on an official release date, but rumor has it this duo will arrive at retailers around December 2016. While it was first previewed from White Mountaineering, another variation of the upcoming adidas NMD R2 is showcased.

Essentially an upgraded version of its predecessor, the low-top model blends style and modern tech, as it’s comprised of the brand’s signature primeknit upper, in addition to a new patterned overlay that envelops its entirety. In addition, the distinctive boost midsole unit has been refined, which now only features one large EVA insert on the inner lateral section.

Retailing for a price tag of $160, this model is suggested to make its debut at adidas retailers sometime during December 2016.

The silhouette is a crowd pleaser and this variation looks a lot more sleeker. The new construction is solid and this colorway is a versatile pair.

Last rendered in cyan, the women’s adidas NMD XR1 is introduced in a more subdued colorway this season, now consisting of university blue.

Flaunting its defining primeknit construction in a mixture of blue and grey tones, more tonal blue hits adorn the signature TPU lacing cage apparatus across its side panels, alongside respective branding on the tongue and rear. In addition, pops of red are utilized for its heel pull tabs, while a full-length boost sole unit in white finishes off the profile.

The adidas adi-Ease skate shoe sheds its canvas construction for a new premium leather presentation this fall dubbed the “Universal” series. Apparently inspired by vintage leather track spikes like the one illustrated on the gold foil branding on each lateral side, the adi-Ease receives soft leather uppers in two colorways of black/white and white/red with a gum sole. The premium adi-Ease Universal is rolling in to select adidas Skateboarding retailers like Premier right now.

The Olympics recently concluded. The 4th of July is over and done with. Does that mean we can no longer wear sneakers sporting Old Glory’s colors? Any time is a good time to wear Red, White and Blue sneakers. Now that we got out the way, here’s a first look at this upcoming adidas NMD rocking patriotic stripes.

The adidas NMD comes constructed out of a Core Black Primeknit upper. There appears to be some kind of graphic pattern throughout the shoe, but the star and main attraction of the upper is with out a doubt the tricolored stripes rocking the Red, White and Blue. Below you will find a White Boost midsole paired up with a set of Black stabilizers. Priced at $170, expect to see these release sometime in December.

Although this pair of adidas NMDs is not scheduled to drop until the end of the year, it’s worth taking a look at now that we have the official images of the shoe.

Done in Primeknit construction, the shoe’s upper comes rocking a Black and White look that evokes a bit of an Oreo-like aesthetic. The cookie-like upper is then contrasted by a trio of colors noted on the Three Stripes branding, as Blue, Black and Red claim their positioning on the upper. Below you will find a White Boost midsole accompanied by a set of White stabilizers. A White pull tab and Black heel tab round out the look of the shoe. Priced at $170, expect to see these some time during the month of December.

A brand new colorway of the adidas Y-3 QR Boost has recently surfaced. Opting to go with a retro look, this adidas Y-3 model borrows the color scheme closely associated with the classic adidas EQT line. Let’s take a closer look at the shoe.

As mentioned above, the adidas Y-3 QR Boost appears to borrow the color scheme of the adidas EQT line that made its debut back in the ’90s. A color combination consisting of Grey/Black, White and Sub Green take care of the entire look of the shoe from head to toe.
