Peep The adidas Tubular Defiant With Leather

The adidas Tubular series has since taken a backseat to the likes of the adidas Ultra Boost and adidas NMD. It’s kind of hard to compete with running models with both Boost and Primeknit technology right now, but if you’re in the market for a comfortable lifestyle silhouette in a women’s exclusive size run, then the Tubular Defiant fits the bill and then some.

First introduced back in Summer 2015, the adidas Tubular Defiant W struck a chord for the way it simplified the Tubular midsole and outsole unit. The model also took inspiration from Yohji Yamamoto’s adidas Y-3 line thanks to a midfoot construction that utilizes a neoprene strap for a comfortable yet flexible lockdown support. This new colorway is simple enough – a Core Black and Off White create a classic high contrast composition while the new leather build adds a premium touch.

The adidas Tubular Defiant is available now from select shops like Caliroots.

adidas To Give Its Best Olympians The 3-D Printed Futurecraft Shoes

And you thought a Gold Medal would be an athlete’s prized possession at this year’s Olympics. adidas is giving a select few of their sponsored Olympians exclusive tailor-made pairs of the 3D-printed adidas Futurecraft should they win a medal in Rio.

The adidas Futurecraft is a truly one of a kind silhouette. The breathable Primeknit upper is only the half of it too. The outsole unit is crafted through the futuristic technology of 3D-printing based on the contours and unique arches of a particular athlete’s foot. The made-to-order offering is engineered through a 3D web construction and ditches the traditional glue and stitch process. This methodology also lands on the supportive heel.

The Triple Black adidas Futurecraft 3D will also feature unique accents on the laces, as they will be speckled with either metallic gold, silver, or bronze accents to represent the medal won by the athlete recieving the exclusive pair. Check out a preview below and stay tuned for more adidas updates right here on Sneaker News.

The adidas Ultra Boost Will Feature New Primeknit Styling

Are we going to see an adidas Ultra Boost 2.0 anytime soon? While the three stripes have been tinkering with the model thanks to the Ultra Boost Uncaged variants with collaborations from Solebox and Hypebeast, there’s also been some general release pairs that have added a slip-on construction for a lightweight ride to rival the adidas NMD’s casual style. Today we get a look at an updated Primeknit construction for the coming Fall/Winter 2016 season.

Here the Ultra Boost returns in four monochromatic colorways that sees a sturdier, thicker Primeknit woven material comprise the entirety of the upper. This might mean less ventilation while running, but it will hold down the casual category thanks to a sturdier build. The pattern almost mimics the upcoming adidas NMD “Glitch Pack” where sharp lines accentuate the sleek build.

The rest of the model remains unchanged as the Ultra Boost’s cage overlay and heel construction add a lockdown support. There’s no colorized Boost here either, but the Continental rubber outsole should add a durable finish to the instant classic running model. Expect these four adidas runners to arrive at retailers this Fall/Winter season. More photos below.

Preview adidas NMD Releases For 2017

We’re still counting down the days until adidas Originals releases their massive 19-pair adidas NMD collection on August 18th. Until then, we’re still getting previews of the popular model extending all the way to their Spring 2017 lineup. This adidas NMD “Core Black” pair utilizes a new woven mesh construction with larger perforations throughout for added ventilation.

You can see the noticeable difference on the heel, where an underlying white heel counter peeks through. While this “Core Black” offering is relatively simple, accents of metallic gold are a welcomed sight for this women’s exclusive. The NMD showcases the shade on the midsole and heel tag while German and Japanese translations of ‘The Three Stripes Brand’ are written throughout.

Check out more official photos of this women’s exclusive NMD release after the break and stay tuned for more release date updates right here on Sneaker News.

The USA is dominating the 2016 Summer Olympics in terms of medal count, and to celebrate the allure of the international sporting event in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, a special adidas Ultra Boost Olympic Medals pack is set to make its debut soon.

Essentially evoking the first, second and third-place medals given out in the award ceremonies — gold, silver and bronze — respectively, the defining theme is implemented on the silhouette’s heel and tongue. The gold and bronze pair inherit a blacked-out primeknit upper, while the silver rendition bears a mixture of black and grey for its construction.

Each topped off with a white midsole and black continental outsole, you can purchase either pair at select adidas retailers starting August 17th for a retail price tag of $180.

adidas Releases This Years Best Olympic Footwear With Ultra Boosts

If you’re not first you’re last. The Ricky Bobby sentiment couldn’t have been proven more untrue than by adidas’ latest Olympic-themed release, a trio of adidas Ultra Boost pairs that beautifully represent the medal podium with metallic gold, silver, and bronze heel cages. In 2016, we could very well be looking at the best Olympic-themed release from adidas, a brand that has been overshadowed by Nike’s sponsorship rights to some of Team USA’s most notable athletes competing at the world games. The Ultra Boost Olympic will release on August 17th for $180 USD a piece.

The Ultra Boost Olympic takes what’s already been working for the three stripes and perfects it. A simple Primeknit upper consisting of marbled black and grey shades (the Steel Grey shade is most prominent on the “Silver” rendition given the second place inspired heel) while a white Boost construction rests on a Continental rubber outsole. Metallic touches transform the usual matte finish on the supportive heel cage while the overlaying three stripes get a matching black treatment.

Select shops will be stocking this trio of Olympic inspired Ultra Boosts on August 17th for $180 USD. Check out more detailed shots below and stay tuned for more release date updates right here on Sneaker News.
