The adidas NMD XR1 White Duck Camo Drops Overseas First
By SoleInsider
As part of a standout Duck Camo pack that also includes four additional colorways, the adidas NMD XR1 in White is particularly highlighted.
The lifestyle silhouette is essentially covered in the aforementioned camouflage motif across its mesh upper, while a tonal molded lacing cage, EVA inserts and branded heel badge further detail the profile. A crisp white boost sole unit with matching EVA inserts in the heel finishes off the sleek design.
Select adidas retailers overseas will have the pair available starting this Friday, November 25th, although, a U.S. release is set for December 22nd.
Composed of the brand?s signature knitted composition in beige, the sleek and stylish profile also defined by its distinctive lacing apparatus comprised of leather and elastic mid-foot strap which are rendered in contrasting pale nude to complement its overall aesthetic.
All resting atop the a clean, white tube-inspired sole unit that provides superb comfort and durability, this pair is scheduled to make its debut at select adidas retailers overseas on December 8th.
I?m a big fan of this silhouette. I like it a lot more in this colorway. I?m kind of iffy on that sock detail, but the overall design looks great nonetheless.
Buy, Pass, Wait Thanksgiving Edition: Air Jordan 3 True Blue, adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2, BAPE x adidas NMD
By SoleInsider
It’s time to pass (or buy… or wait?) the turkey in this special Thanksgiving edition of Buy, Pass, Wait. The Kicks On Fire staff has a lot to be thankful for this holiday season as there are plenty of big name releases dropping between now and the end of the year. This is always the busiest time to be in the sneaker game and we appreciate the crew for their hard work and all of our readers for their support of the site. Now here are their takes on the Thanksgiving week’s more noteworthy drops.
Juan Martinez, Editor-In-Chief: (GOT ‘EM) Lucky enough to have a pair now, but I would have gladly bought them regardless. I still might get one if it’s an easy enough cop just to have one to stock up. I know there’s plenty of talk of these sitting in shelves at least through the weekend, but if that’s the case, good times for me. Jordan Brand might want to reevaluate what people really care about nowadays though.
Renz Ofiaza, News: (BUY) I’ve already worn out the 2011 edition and this pair comes in a perfect timing for me to purchase another one.
Juan Carrillo, News: (BUY) I’ma go out on a limb and say that the Air Jordan 3 in this colorway is one of my top 3 favorite Air Jordans of all time. Paint chipping and yellow heel tabs on my current pair suggest I’m in need of a new pair. I’m really happy that Jordan Brand has decided to bring these back. The Nike Air on the heel is a cherry on top. Definitely one of my favorite releases of 2016.
Andres Carrillo, News: (BUY) I’m kind of torn between buying and passing on these (because I know if I wait they’ll be gone in a couple of days at the most). I’ve always liked the Jordan 3 True Blue and I’ve never owned a pair. The thing that holds me back from making this an automatic cop is the fact that they’re $220. And like I said, I LIKE it, not love it. I’m just not sure.
EIC Juan: (PASS) I don’t like black Yeezy Boosts. I’ve come to realization after seeing the Pirate Black 350 and the Black 750. They do nothing for me and slapping the slightest bit of color on that stripe isn’t really helping. I will however cop a pair in the hopes that someone is willing to do a trade for a colorway I do like.
Renz: (BUY) The shade looks more like light tan instead of actual green. I prefer this pair since the neutral tone is more versatile. I’d be happy with either colorway though.
News Juan: (PASS) Doesn’t really matter, they’re all essentially the same in my opinion. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, you will never see me wear anything affiliated with Kanye. And with his latest fiasco, I’m more proud than ever to say that I do not own anything Yeezy related.
EIC Juan: (PASS) Never been the biggest BAPE fan and I’ve never really been a fan of camo print either. Put those two together and you’ve got a sneaker that’s an easy pass for me.
Renz: (BUY) I used to be a die-hard bapehead but those days are over. This collab is obviously sought after since it’s on one of the most popular sneakers this year. I’d only buy to re-sell.
News Juan: (BUY) This could very well be the NMD I’ve been waiting for. Yeah, yeah, camo is dead and whatever, I don’t care about all of that. These are really dope and this is coming from someone who has never bought anything from Bape. I probably won’t get the chance to get a pair but a man can dream, right?
Andres: (BUY) In my opinion the green pair looks much better than the black. I know these will be pretty much impossible to cop, but if I can grab the green pair online I won’t hesitate.
adidas NMD R1 Camo (Pick One)
EIC Juan: (Black Camo)
Because if I squint hard enough, I won’t be able to see the camo.
Renz: (PASS) The colorways are cool but I already have my eyes set on other silhouettes.
News Juan: (PASS) Nah. Doesn’t even look like real camo in my opinion. For some reason, it also feels like something I’ve seen from the model before. I’d rather try to get the Bape pair.
Andres: (WAIT) The only camo colorway I like is the green pair. This is probably my favorite NMD XR1 so far. I wouldn’t pay retail for it though.
Renz: (WAIT) I never understood why it received this nickname. The colorway is a classic palette in general but I’ll wait for it to drop much lower and I’ll consider.
News Juan: (PASS) I can almost say that I’m 100% sure that I will never own a pair of Foams. They’re just not my style. The colorway is clean, simple and versatile but I really don’t mess with foams like that and if I haven’t gotten into the shoe at my current age, I’m pretty sure I never will.
Andres: (PASS) Simple and classic colorway, but I just don’t mess with Foams. If I did, this pair would definitely be in my collection.
Nike Kobe AD Ruthless Precision
EIC Juan: (GOT ‘EM) Not sure if I would have bought this colorway if Nike had not sent these, but I definitely would have bought a pair eventually just out of respect for Mamba. Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go pour one out for Kobe’s career and play this song.
Renz: (WAIT) This model doesn’t beat the Flyknit 11s, although, I still appreciate the sneaker’s overall design. The colorway is appealing in general and I really like the iridescent detail on the rear. I’d wait for a lower price though.
News Juan: (PASS) The Nike Kobe AD is a nice addition to the Kobe signature line. With that being said, I don’t think I’ll be picking up this colorway. I’m 100% sure new colorways will drop that I will like a whole lot more.
Andres: (PASS) I’m still not sure how I feel about the Kobe A.D., but I do know that I’m not a fan of this colorway. I think the shoe has potential and I look forward to seeing what colorways Nike will release in the near future.
Cam’Ron x Reebok Ventilator Supreme Fleebok 2
EIC Juan: (BUY) I’m 100% sure I can’t pull this off, but that doesn’t mean I won’t die trying. This homage to Killa Cam’s love for pink is so perfect and so early-2000s that I can’t help but appreciate the effort and to top it off with a Dipset box is just another reason to buy these and display them just for pure awesome.
Renz: (PASS) I’m a fan of the silhouette overall and this execution is cool. The only downside is I don’t wear pink often. A good pickup for the ladies though.
News Juan: (PASS) I don’t wear Pink sneakers. If I ever decide to, I’m pretty sure I can find a model I’m more interested in. Shout out to Cam’ron though.
Andres: (PASS) There’s not much to say about this shoe. I’m just not a fan of Cam’ron, pink sneakers,or the Ventilator Supreme.
Under Armour Curry 3 Trifecta Black
EIC Juan: (PASS) Triple Black is hard to pull off as there’s a fine line between a sneaker that’s designed to look cool in all-black and a sneaker that wasn’t designed to look cool in all-black and ends up passing as a pair of shoes that look better in the ER than on the court. Sadly, this falls in the latter camp.
Renz: (PASS) It’s a versatile pair in this colorway and it’s more appealing in a sleek/stealthy finish. I still can’t consider purchasing one though, unless it’s at a really low price.
News Juan: (PASS) I think I’m going to copy and paste the following sentence for every future Curry 3 release. I’m not really a fan of the design on the shoe and I don’t think any colorway will make me change my mind on the shoe. Easy pass.
Andres: (PASS) There hasn’t been one single colorway of the Curry 3 that has caught my eye. This all-black pair is just too plain. Is it too early to say that the Curry 3 is a disappointment?
adidas alphaBOUNCE XENO Triple Black
EIC Juan: (BUY) Going back to my point about the Currys in all-black, the alphaBOUNCE deftly avoid that fate with the XENO hits on the upper. Anybody else get the fish scale vibe though?
Renz: (BUY) I’m a fan of the silhouette’s design and this stealthy makeover is a solid option. The XENO detailing is a big plus as well and it makes it more appealing.
News Juan: (WAIT) adding Xeno to this model was a no-brainer. I just wish that most of the shoe was not done in all-Black. I’ve yet to pick up a pair of this model, and I know that in the near future I probably will, I just know it won’t be this pair since I’m looking for a pair with some more pop to it. (I know the Xeno upper has plenty op pop, but I mean pop without the help of light).
Andres: (PASS) I don’t own any XENO sneakers, but I’m a fan of the technology. I like the Alpha Bounce, but the fact that this pair comes in all-black makes it kind of boring. I’ll just wait on another pair down the line.
Marking as the first collaboration with the Japanese quality clothiers, the popular silhouette embodies the label?s contemporary flair with a full night grey-colored upper that bears white pinstripe detailing for a simple and clean look.
The signature three stripe motif on the side panels are also stitched on, instead of the usual synthetic makeup, while co-branding adorns the tongue and heel tab. Finally, a crisp white boost sole unit with matching EVA inserts finishes off the design.
Priced at $170, you can purchase this pair at select adidas retailers globally starting November 26th.
I?ll always be a fan of the silhouette and this collab is a solid offering. The pinstripe accents are a cool touch and the overall colorway is appealing.
Black Friday will come early for adidas Yeezy fans this year as adidas will be releasing three, I said THREE different colorways of the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 tomorrow.
First we have the Red Yeezy Boost 350 V2 which features a Primeknit upper in tonal black with a streak of Red that bears the mark ?SPLY-350?. A semi-translucent rubber outsole and TPU sidewalls create a striking effect while providing superior traction. As always, the shoe comes with adidas’ groundbreaking Boost technology in the midsole for unparalleled comfort.
Releasing tomorrow at select retailers for $220, will you be going after the red colorway of the Yeezy Boost 350 V2?
I’m not a fan of Yeezys, but I’ll admit that a couple of the colorways that have released in the past have been decent. These three however are probably the worst ones yet. They are so bland and plain.
Joining the Red pair that is the most eye-catching of them all, we now give you a closer look at the adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 in Copper that also releases tomorrow (November 23rd).

adidas Made An NMD Look-alike Without Boost Cushioning
By SoleInsider
Boost cushioning has been one of the reasons we’ve seen such a resurgence from adidas. Not only has the technology propelled the likes of the adidas Ultra Boost and the adidas NMD to be some of the most popular footwear models on the market, but Boost has also been a go-to for performance and lifestyle offerings alike. If you’re looking for a simpler option though, adidas just made an NMD look-alike absent of Boost cushioning known as the adidas X PLR.
The overall silhouette shape is sure to remind you of the NMD series with an updated cage overlay getting a more standard leather treatment to house the three stripe branding. This Footwear White option features a familiar outsole tooling as well. What do you think of the X PLR model? Check out more official photos from adidas below and stay tuned for availability in December.
