New adidas NMD XR1 Colorways Will Be Releasing Next Week

Fans of the adidas NMD XR1 will be happy to hear that a trio of new colorways are set to drop next week! Above you will find the adidas NMD XR1 Triple Black, the adidas NMD XR1 Zebra and the the adidas NMD XR1 Collegiate Navy.

All three pairs you see above are constructed out of a brand new Primeknit woven upper often seen on the NMD R2. The new look add new detailing such as the new stitching and textured hits to all three colorways. EVA inserts done in hues that match the look of the upper are placed on the Boost midsole. The Navy and Zebra pairs come with White Boost, while the Triple Black comes with Black Boost (duh). Get a good look at all three above and look for these to drop on April 6th.

adidas Is Bringing Back Their 3D Runner With Redesigned Midsole

adidas-3d-runner-redesigned-midsole

Remember the adidas 3D Runner? It was the three stripes’ take on the latest in 3D printing technology, as an Ultra Boost inspired Primeknit woven upper rested upon a completely custom one-piece lattice midsole that acted as a futuristic cushioning system. It wasn’t solid either, as you could see the ventilated holes throughout, allowing for the material to stretch and flex with each step. While it might not be as comfortable as Boost, the 3D Runner served as an inspiring concept for what the future of sneakers could be – both comfortable, functional, and environmentally smart.

adidas gave their Olympic athletes pairs and then released an incredibly limited run at their adidas NYC flagship store on 5th Ave for $333 USD. It looks like the brand continues to revamp their 3D printing technology, as the adidas 3D Runner 2.0 recently appeared in one-of-one form in Asia. The early look showcases a thicker midsole with a new and improved shape that may no longer depend on that lattice structure while the Ultra Boost’s heel cage is no longer present. What do you think of the look? Stay tuned for more updates in the near future right here on Sneaker News.

adidas NMD Day On April 6th Promises New XR1 Colorways

It looks like adidas NMD Day is coming on the heels of Nike’s annual celebration of visible air. While adidas tried to spoil Air Max Day 2017 by releasing an insane amount of some of your favorite NMD and Ultra Boost colorways the day before March 26th, it didn’t stop the Nike VaporMax from having a successful launch. We definitely love the renewed rivalry between the three stripes and the Swoosh, so why not give the adidas NMD its own day to shine given worldwide love for the sleek lifestyle pair?

The adidas NMD R2 is set to release in 7+ colorways on Thursday, April 6th and now three more colorways of the adidas NMD XR1 will hit retailers on that same day. These aren’t your standard NMD XR1 pairs though, as that updated Primeknit woven upper seen on the NMD R2 translates perfectly over to this trio, with bold new stitching adding some texture to the monochromatic offerings. Included in the lineup is that adidas NMD XR1 “Zebra” offering, perfect for everyone who missed out on a chance to grab the Zebra Yeezys, a Triple Black NMD XR1, and a Dark Navy option.

Check out more detailed shots below and be sure to head to our Release Dates page for an updated look at all of the coming adidas NMD releases for April 6th.

Expect big things from the adidas NMD series this coming Spring 2017 season. Not only did we get a look at over 7 upcoming colorways for next week, but it looks like everyone’s favorite chukka-inspired woven silhouette, the adidas NMD City Sock 2 is gaining some momentum on the general release front with this simple and refined adidas NMD CS2 Core Black option slated to release within the next few months.

The adidas NMD CS2 looks like a fairly basic construction at first glance. That updated wrapped upper features a predominantly Core Black construction with contrasting white stripes hitting the slip-on ankle collar. The real call to action here is on the medial side, as the updated pattern showcases vibrant Pink stripes for a nice chance of pace. There’s still no word on a Release Date for the coming adidas NMD City Sock 2 Core Black, but stay tuned for more updates right here on Sneaker News.

The Alexander Wang x adidas Skate Shoe Releases Tomorrow

In addition to the adidas AW BBall, elite fashion designer Alexander Wang has also produced a line of adidas skate shoes for Spring 2017.

Essentially a luxurious take, the low-top sneaker is defined by plush suede uppers and a herringbone structured box tape sole unit. Check Out This adidas Yeezy Boost 350 v2 Peyote Sample

With the adidas Yeezy Boost 350 v2 White set to release next month, future variations of the silhouette continue to be leaked, as we now focus the spotlight on this Peyote Sample colorway.

As with all v2 releases, this sample features the defining primeknit construction with the respective stripe detailing and ?SPLY-350? branding on the side panels, although, camouflaged due to its monochromatic finish. Matching laces, heel tabs and a semi-translucent boost sole unit with TPU sidewalls caps off the clean design.

A release date for this particular has not been confirmed yet, and it’s possible that it may not release as well.

Stay tuned to KicksOnFire for further updates.

New adidas NMD XR1 Options Exclusively At Foot Locker Europe

It looks like some more adidas NMD colorways have shown up that are exclusive to Europe, as Foot Locker EU just dropped these three hot looks for the NMD XR1 that are apparently not going to be available in any other region. The three new looks for the XR1 all feature detailed “glitch camo” motifs across the upper in your choice of olive, grey/light blue, or black with reflective accents. Two of the three also come sporting black Boost midsoles for an extra tough look. Unfortunately for us in the USA, these are all available right now only at Foot Locker EU (they don’t ship to the U.S.). Hopefully you stateside NMD fiends have a Euro connect.

This latest colorway of the model which is said to be releasing stateside next month, comes in Primeknit upper done in a Greyscale motif accented by the subtle hits of Green found throughout the woven build. This Is The Closest Thing To An adidas NMD R2 Triple White

Of course “Triple White” is returning to the adidas NMD sequel, and although we’re certain a truer form of the all-white angelic look is in the works, this version will have to do. This adidas NMD R2 features the embossed dotted lines on the upper with the three stripes overlay akin to the NMD R1 model, but clearly what makes the R2 so distinct from its predecessor is the streamlined Boost midsole, which no longer features those funky bumpers on the lateral side. What’s more, is adidas added polka-dot detailing to the heel, which we presume to be a detail the ladies will look forward to this Spring (these are women’s releases). There’s also a green colorway of the adidas NMD R2 with the polka dot detailing all across the upper, should that fit your needs. Cop either pair next week on adidas.com and select adidas Originals retailers on April 6th.

A Closer Look At The adidas NMD R2 Core Red Pack

Just yesterday we provided you with a first look at the adidas NMD R2 in White and Core Red. We’ve now come to find out that that a pair along with the Black colorway you see above make up what adidas is calling the adidas NMD R2 Core Red Pack.

Set to drop next week, the adidas NMD R2 Core Red Pack is made up of a pair done in a White Primeknit upper and another done in a Black Primeknit upper. Both pairs are then contrasted by the Core Red hits place on the heel-stripe, the EVA insert on the medial side of the shoe and the rubber outsole. The pictures also show that both pairs come with leather hits on both the heel and tongue tag. Subtle offerings with a bit of a pop, I like that. Dropping April 5th for $170, how many of you are looking to pick up a pair (or two)?
