Nike Celebrates Opening Of New NYC Store With Noise Cancelling Collection

Nike celebrates the opening of their newest flagship store in New York City by releasing the Nike Noise Cancelling Collection.

NYC is one of the loudest cities on earth, and Nike is driven to disrupt this noise and inspire athletes to dream loud enough that they silence the city through a customizable, reimagined look at five of Nike?s most iconic footwear styles.

The collection dropped today at Nike NYC in limited quantities. It includes the Nike Zoom Fly 2, Air Jordan 1 High, Nike Air Force 1, Nike Cortez and Nike Zoom Kobe 1 Protro.

Each shoe is finely crafted with white-on-white, high quality, bonded synthetic leather along with removable Nike Swooshes to allow for more flexibility in customization. In Nike NYC, shoppers will have access to footwear dip-dyeing, footwear printing, embroidery, footwear patches, lasering and a full footwear accessory bar (laces, zippers, tongue tags, etc.).

Take a look at the entire Nike Noise Cancelling Collection below along with their staggered release dates.

Nike Zoom Fly 2 ?Noise Cancelling?

Nike Zoom Fly 2 | Shalane Flanagan

Flanagan?s final stretch between Columbus Circle and Central Park to win the 2017 New York City marathon made her the first female American runner in four decades to cross the finish line in first place. So, combined with illustrator Gabriel Alcala?s buzzy and vibrant take on everyday experiences and objects, this Nike by You customization experience is dripping with color and is inspired by the spirit soaked finish of Flanagan?s champion run. The Nike Noise Cancelling Collection Zoom Fly 2 will be available at Nike NYC November 15 ? 29 (while quantities last).

Air Jordan 1 ?Noise Cancelling?
Air Jordan 1 High | Nigel Sylvester

BMX biker, style innovator and Queens, NYC native Nigel Sylvester had more than three years of career-defining experience when first entering the downtown BMX scene, moving from an amateur to professional rider during this time. ?Hustle,? ?Strength,? ?Passion? and ?Individuality? are all words Sylvester uses to describe this time, and this exploded into reality when the image of him pulling off a 2 a.m. stunt over the 145th Street subway station went viral in 2013. This shows up in the Noise Cancelling Collection?s Air Jordan 1 High through the work of artist Yaiagift. The Nike Noise Cancelling Collection Air Jordan 1 High will be available at Nike NYC November 30 ? December 13 (while quantities last).

Nike Air Force 1 ?Noise Cancelling?

Nike Air Force 1 Low | Odell Beckham Jr.

After missing the first four games of his rookie season due to injury, Beckham Jr.?s 50-yard, one-handed, free-falling touchdown catch at Meadowlands in late November 2014 became a landmark moment for sport, sparking his legacy and igniting football?s future. Coupled with New York City-based tattoo artist JK5, Beckham Jr.?s story has helped to create an equally inspiring Nike by You Makers Studio experience. The Nike Noise Cancelling Collection Air Force 1 Low will be available at Nike NYC December 14 ? 27 (while quantities last).

Nike Cortez ?Noise Cancelling?

Nike Cortez | Maria Sharapova

After falling to her knees at Arthur Ashe Stadium as the champion of the 2006 US Open, and at just the age of 19, Sharapova had won her second Grand Slam title; defeating a more experienced opponent in straight sets and after a challenging 10-stroke exchange. Sharapova now refers to this moment as ?iconic? ? the feeling of achieving what she had dreamed of, the sensation of elevating the game, the moment she silenced New York with a show of grit and glamour that only this city could understand. Partnered with artist Toykyo, the Nike Noise Cancelling Collection Cortez will be available at Nike NYC December 28 ? January 10 (while quantities last).

Nike Zoom Kobe 1 Protro ?Noise Cancelling?

Kobe Protro 1 | Kobe Bryant

Kobe Bryant set a Madison Square Garden record when he brought in 61 points in just one game in February 2009, shattering expectations and defining the next phase of his legendary NBA journey. The Kobe Protro 1 is reimagined in Nike NYC through global street artist Felipe Pantone?s dizzying designs. The Nike Noise Cancelling Collection Kobe Protro 1 will be available at Nike NYC January 11 ? 24 (while quantities last).
