The Nike Air Foamposite Pro Island Green To Release This July

The Nike Air Foamposite Pro isn’t slowing down anytime soon, as this new “Island Green” colorway is set to release this July. The Nike Foamposite Pro Island Green is fairly similar to the Foamposite Pro “Retro Blue” colorway that dropped back in 2011 and had people adding pink laces to the ensemble back when that South Beach colorway was so popular. The most notable difference is the side panel Swoosh update with a head-turning Metallic Platinum adding a chrome mirror-like finish while an icy outsole adds a clean finish.
Stay tuned for a Release Date in the near future right here on Sneaker News.

Detailed Look At The Nike VaporMax Violet Dust

Most Nike VaporMax colorways either already released or previewed so far have been in grey or blue color palettes, but this women’s colorway switches things up with a pleasing shade of purple. The “Violet Dust” VaporMax can finally be previewed in detail with its official Nike images, and by the looks of things, it should be the most anticipated women’s colorway of the innovative shoe yet thanks to the calming light violet hue from top to the tinted full-length Air bags. If you’re after pair, mark their June 1st release date (along with the rest of the “Day to Night” pack) on your calendar, because they surely won’t be available long after they drop.

Introducing The Nike Air Max 97 Ultra Jacquard 2.0

nike-air-max-97-ultra-jacquad-2-0-metallic-gold-01

Nike has been teasing the 20th anniversary of the Nike Air Max 97 with limited releases right before everyone got a chance to grab the iconic Silver Bullet colorway a few weeks back. Next up is another precious metal inspiration with the Nike Air Max 97 Metallic Gold slated to release at retailers on May 17th. Of course, these archival silhouettes always get a lightweight Ultra tooling for a more modern lifestyle-ready approach, but we didn’t expect the AM97 to get a woven update like it has with the above pictured Nike Air Max 97 Ultra Jacquard 2.0. The name is a mouthful, but it definitely looks sleek enough and true enough to form thanks to the side panel waves and cross-hatching on the Jacquard woven upper. There’s still no word on an official Release Date for this updated Air Max 97 creation, but you can expect it to release sometime around May 17th when the other silhouettes in the “Metallic Gold” Collection release. Stay tuned for more info right here on Sneaker News.

Nike Football Designs New Cleats Specifically For Linemen

Nike Football has changed the game for linemen with the creation of the all-new Nike Force Savage Elite Cleat. Nike wanted to build something strong and protective that enables the athlete to be equally powerful and fast. And with the Force Savage Elite they believe that they achieved that.

The Nike Force Savage Elite’s strength comes in the form of 15 twisting triangular studs that line the outsole. Designers also turned to triangles to provide armor on top of the cleat. ?Offensive linemen get stepped on a lot when they?re trying to protect the quarterback,? explains Erin Cochrane, Lead Footwear Designer for Nike?s latest lineman-dedicated cleat, ?so we wanted their cleat to act as a steel-toed boot.? Tough triangular structures (made out of a material called Kurim, which is a cast polyurethane) sit on top of a molded foam package on the forefoot to shield painful stud stabs. To learn more about the design details of the Nike Force Savage Elite Cleat, click here. The cleat is available beginning today on nike.com.
