The Original Nike Air Mag Just Sold For Over $90,000

One of the original Nike Air Mags that was worn by Marty McFly in the 1989 movie Back to the Future Part II has just been auctioned off and you won’t believe how much it sold for.

Considered by many sneakerheads one of Nike’s “grails”, the shoe was designed by Tinker Hatfield and is uniquely known for its self-lacing shoe-laces, blinking neon lights, and futuristic look.

The shoe was sold by eBay seller Shoezeum for a whopping $92,100 and as you can see from the images above, the shoe isn’t even wearable as it has deteriorated on the midsole due to age. Who knew that a sneaker from 1989 could sell for this crazy amount of money. How much would you pay for a piece of Hollywood/sneaker history?

Roger Federer Leaves Nike To Sign Lucrative Deal With Chinese Brand Uniqlo

Tennis legend Roger Federer has been with Nike since 1994, but the long partnership has come to an end as Federer has signed a new endorsement deal with Japanese company Uniqlo.

Sources say the deal is worth more than $300 million guaranteed over 10 years and has an unprecedented clause that says that Federer will collect the money even if he doesn’t play. According to Darren Rovell, the deal could be even more lucrative for Federer, as it includes the right for his team to sell some patches on his shirt, something he wasn’t able to do with Nike.

Nike was given the right to match the deal and passed.

Who came out as the winner of this deal? Roger Federer? Nike? Uniqlo?
