Release Date: Tom Sachs x Nike Mars Yard Overshoe

It appears as if the Tom Sachs x Nike Mars Yard Overshoe finally has a release date. According to @py_rates, the Tom Sachs x Nike Mars Yard Overshoe will release on January 31st for $550.

Sachs? latest Nike project, the Mars Yard Overshoe, is an extension of this process. It?s all about working under the consideration of how the Mars Yard 2.0 performs when conditions sour. What could Sachs employ to transition his equipment? Answering for questions of weather appropriateness, it allowed frustrations (freakout-inducing cold, wet feet) to channel solutions (the employment of a Dyneema®?, a super-strong fiber often used in boat rope and sails). Experience also diversified function. While wearing the Overshoe all the way up fends off the elements, rolling it down makes inside, heated spaces tolerable. The duality serves well for the annoyances of a New York March, and allows chic navigation of street, subway and fashion week. A new tread pattern, created by a small sipping at the highpoints of the outsole, is designed from a mastery of New York?s winters too.

As with all of Sachs? product, the Mars Yard Overshoe balances the raw honesty of the materials and manufacturing with the artist?s touch.

Now that you know when they’re dropping and for how much. How many of you are looking to pick up a pair?

A-COLD-WALL* x Nike Air Force 1 Collection Officially Unveiled

For A-COLD-WALL* designer, founder and creative director, Samuel Ross, Nike Flyleather represents new opportunity. The unique material, which is made with at least 50 percent recycled natural leather fiber, allows for an evolution of design thinking while deftly balancing natural tactile qualities with an important reduction in the planet?s carbon footprint. Both properties are on full display in Ross’ Nike x A-COLD-WALL* Air Force 1.

“Flyleather is a vessel to refine an idea that was already quite strong,” says Ross. “The technology behind it is also connected to the progression of my design practice, my label and, of course, my work on the Air Force. To produce a shoe that carries a sustainable narrative and talks to modern issues is a big thing.”

That “big thing” is about bringing products up to speed with the globe?s contemporary needs. “When I first started collaborating with Nike, I had, like, 10 stocklists. So, sustainability felt like something that was a much bigger issue than my own business,? says Ross. ?Now, we’re at 130 stockists and our consumption rates do need to adjust. It has been brilliant to actually open up that conversation with Nike around clothing and footwear in order to take steps towards becoming more sustainable at A-COLD-WALL*.”

The Nike x A-COLD-WALL* Air Force 1 launches December 9 in Shanghai. Subsequent releases follow December 21.

This Nike Air Max 1 Comes With A Hot Pink Liner

From the outside, this new colorway of the Nike Air Max 1 comes with all type of OG vibes, don’t you think? It’s only when you take a look inside of the shoe that you see it’s full of bold color.

The Nike Air Max 1 start off with a clean and simple White/Midnight Navy-Pure Platinum color scheme. All these colors can be found throughout the mesh, suede and leather upper. The shoe really get a hit of boldness by way of the lining which comes in a Hot Pink finish. The fact that the choice of color uses on the lining looks so out of place is what makes the shoe stand out. Add in the Orange hits on the top eyelets and you’ve got just the right amount of subtle and loud vibes all over the shoe, assuming that is what you’re looking for in a shoe. No word yet on when these will drop, but look for them to do so very soon. Thoughts?
