Official Images: Nike Air Force 1 Jester XX Floral Print

A brand new colorway of the Nike Air Force 1 Jester XX is slated to drop in the coming weeks. This time around the reimagined Air Force 1 comes dressed in a Pure Platinum upper offset by the floral print detailing found on both the outsole trimming and insoles. Features on the shoe include a leather upper, mesh tongue, Swoosh branding that is now overlapping part of the midsole (lateral side) and tilted on the medial side. The heel tab and the tongue tag are relocated to the lower portion of the heel, right above the midsole. Tonal laces and iridescent lace dubraes complete the look for the shoe.

The Nike Air Force 1 Jester XX Floral Print is available at international retailers, but look for them to drops stateside in the coming weeks.

The Nike Cortez Premium Red Orbit Drops Next Month

Another premium iteration of the Cortez filled with Swoosh branding is set to debut next month. Dubbed the Nike Cortez Premium Red Orbit, the shoe is dominated by a Red leather upper which is then accented by the jumbo black Swooshes on the side panels and mini Swoosh checks on the lateral toe. Where things get really interesting is on the heel where Nike goes overboard on the branding as we see Swoosh checks (small and big), Nike Sportswear branding, and more. White branding is also spotted on the tongue. Red also takes care of the laces and a White (and a little bit of Black) take care of the sole unit.

Look for the Nike Cortez Premium Red Orbit to release sometime next month for $100. Will you be picking up a pair?

Nike Breaks Down Why Flyleather Is Important For The Future

Nike just dropped a new article centered around the importance of their Flyleather material. The “super material” was introduced September of last year, but not much coverage or releases using Flyleather have happened ever since. Looking to educate their consumers on why Flyleather is so imporatnt, Nike had this to say:

Nike?s new Flyleather is a super material. It is made with at least 50 percent recycled natural leather fiber. That matters, because it means Nike Flyleather deftly balances a much-loved tactile quality with an important reduction in the carbon footprint and water usage required to manufacture it.

It?s also cool because ? if we?re thinking about the future ? Nike Flyleather becomes the answer to retaining the qualities intrinsic to some of Nike?s greatest icons (think the Air Force 1 and Air Jordan 1) with an environmentally responsible process.

Nike Flyleather is good for more than replication too. It has properties ? unique fiber characteristics, controllable modification and a less dense, uniform structure of leather-rich substrate ? that create improved opportunities for laser and print embellishment and textural explorations through embossing and other machinations.

What does this do for future Nike icons? The gallery below offers a tease of the potential:

It can carry all types of feels

Think full grain and smooth leather and suede (which actually comes from the reverse side of a Nike Flyleather roll).

Also more overt textures

Both embossing and embossing effects can create strong texture plays on Nike Flyleather, seen on this custom AF1.

It lets prints sing

Sharp and smooth.

Laser embellishments too

Offering a fresh take on branding opportunities.
