‘Tis the season for college basketball PEs. March Madness is almost here which means major college squads that have had a successful regular season effort and poised for a potential Final Four run are being blessed with some awesome player exclusives. Marquette University‘s Jordan Brand connect is coming through in a surprising way this season, ditching the latest Jordan signature model (they did rock the Air Jordan XXX “University Blue” earlier this year though) for the likes of the rarely seen Air Jordan 2 Low. The pair benefits from the use of contrast University Blue piping and laces atop a Midnight Navy base, while the mudguard uses a familiar Safari-like print that subtly blends in while Varsity Maize swipes across the midsole to match the lace eyelets. ‘Nike’ branding surprisingly lands on the outsole instead of ‘Jordan’ while the real attention grabber here is the ‘MU’ logo on the icy backdrop. The shoe’s colorway is taken from MJ’s shimmery red warm-up outfit worn during his chat with the king of late night talk shows, with a bright red leather upper and metallic navy accents. Mike’s light blue polo shirt worn underneath the jacket is represented by the shade of “Nike Air” on each tongue, while special “On Air” graphics with Dave’s microphone are found on the insoles. It’s been 12 years since the “French Blue” Air Jordan 12 last released, but luckily the shoe is returning once again this month. Official photos from Nike reveal that not much has changed for this classic colorway, except for the fact that it now releases under the brand’s recent remastering overhaul of the retro line. In addition, Jordan is bringing back the original shoe box from the first release of the 12 to further add to the nostalgia. 2016 is certainly shaping up to be a renaissance year for the Air Jordan 12, with the iconic “Flu Game” colorway also coming back for Spring. The Air Jordan 9 Low coming in a Black and White colorway is set to release this Spring as a part of Jordan Brand’ Spring/Summer 2016 offerings. The moment that this Air Jordan 9 Low was unveiled it drew a lot of similarities to the Air Jordan 9 Low PE that was created especially for ex-NBA player Derek Anderson. The low-top version of the Air Jordan 9 will come constructed out of a black leather upper paired up with tonal snakeskin texture placed on the overlay of the mudguard and heel. The tonal black look of the upper is then contrasted by the hits of red found on the lining as well as in the branding hits found on the tongue and heel of the shoe. Rounding out the look of the shoe is the white placed on the rubber outsole component of the shoe.

There are rumors circulating that we could be seeing Jordan Brand release a special pack in honor of the Black Mamba. This Air Jordan Kobe Pack would include two Air Jordan PE Laker colorways that Kobe wore back when he was a sneaker free agent in 2002-2003. The first sneaker would be the Air Jordan 3 and the second would be the Air Jordan 8. Both will come with predominantly white uppers and accent colors inspired by the Lakers. The rumored price for the pack is $500.

The Air Jordan 4 PRM Snakeskin is set to be a part of the premium collection that Jordan Brand plans on releasing this year. This version of the Air Jordan 4 will come in a premium upper consisting of a full snakeskin upper done up in white, pure platinum an wolf grey colorway. The snakeskin motif is then paired up with a light bone premium tumbled leather placed on the overlays, wings and tongue.  A tonal leather lining appears to be in use to further increase the premium feel of the shoe. Another noticeable feature are the copper metal hits placed on the eyelets and heel of the shoe. Completing the major features of the shoe is the all-white sole unit seen below. Rumored to be limited to only 5,000 pairs, there’s a good chance that these will fly off the shelves regardless of the price tag attached to it.

Marquette University recently showed off their own PE version of the Air Jordan 2 Low. Now it’s North Carolina’s turn to let us know they’re also worthy of getting their own Air Jordan 2 Low.

This Air Jordan 2 Low UNC PE comes dressed in a baby blue suede upper accented by the hits of white and black throughout the shoe. Adding to the UNC theme is the graphic lining and the large UNC logo placed on tongue of the shoe. Is this better than the Marquette pair? Let us know in the comments below.

The shoe is cool, being that I’m not a fan of the baby blue upper, I would have made the shoe white and use the baby blue as the contrasting accent color.

Last year we saw Jordan Brand release a colorway of the Air Jordan 1 Mid that had some Lance Mountain vibes thanks to its appearance on the upper that featured black leather with some red detailing.

Today we take a look at the second pair that completes the unofficial Air Jordan 1 Mid Lance Mountain Pack. This Air Jordan 1 Mid comes dressed in a white leather upper with Gym Red detailing on the outsole, inner liner, tongue patch, and outlining various parts of the upper. Black laces finish off the look on this Air Jordan 1 Mid that won’t break the bank but still has a pretty clean look. Look for them to arrive at select Jordan Brand retailers this Spring.

The more I see the Lance Mountain Air Jordan 1s the more I get bummed out that I slept on the release and didn’t at least try to grab a pair. This is a pretty cool alternative except that the paint won’t change colors like the real pairs.

Jordan Brand has decided to give us a surprise tomorrow and release a Jordan retro in the middle of the week. Unfortunately for many this pair will only be releasing in grade school sizes, but some of you may still fit into a pair thanks to the new extended sizing.

This new colorway of the Air Jordan 4 will comes dressed in a white leather upper and Wolf Grey accents on the toe to provide a slight contrast. We then see Hyper Orange detailing on the Jumpman branding on the heel and tongue and finally Deep Royal Blue accents landing on the midsole, eyelets, wings, outsole, tongue patch and heel tab.

In my opinion this colorway would have looked better without the Hyper Orange accents and with a bit more Wolf Grey detailing. It?s not that bad but if I wore GS sizes I wouldn?t cop.

Even though Michael Jordan played for the rival Bulls, the New York Knicks are inevitably tied to MJ’s legacy. The 90s rivals met Chicago in the playoffs a handful of times and were victim to Mike’s infamous Double Nickel game that saw him post 55 points to solidify his return to the NBA after his first retirement. There’s also that Spike Lee connection too, as Jordan Brand enlisted the die-hard Knicks fan to direct the now legendary commercials featuring his Mars Blackmon character. The kids are getting an exclusive Air Jordan 4 tomorrow that resembles the Knickerbockers’ color scheme, as a combination of Deep Royal Blue and Hyper Orange land in accents on a supple white leather base and nubuck Wolf Grey toecap. Wait? What are we looking at here? Is this picture photoshopped or is it real?

NBA legend Penny Hardaway was recently spotted wearing an all-red pair of Air Jordan 11s. There was lots of rumors of an all-red Air Jordan 11 releasing during the 2015 holiday season but nothing legit ever came to fruition. Now with this new picture it’s sure to start the rumors up once again.

There is no confirmation whether this pair is in fact authentic or a custom or if Jordan Brand ever plans on releasing it, but it definitely has people wondering whether we’ll ever be able to get our hands on it. Would you have liked to see this all-red Air Jordan 11 be this year’s holiday release instead of the Air Jordan 11 Space Jam?
