While the Air Jordan 2 Wing It consisted as the most notable release of the silhouette so far this year, this Gym Red variation of the model is scheduled to be its latest offering.

Essentially a low-cut rendition of the model, the sneaker flaunts its defining hue across its entire profile. A reptile-like leather is utilized for the upper to further exude premium flair, while tonal synthetics are applied on the rear which also solidifies its construction.

Notable contrasting elements are evidenced by the iconic wings logo on the tongue with black, while the insoles are colored in turquoise. Finished off with matching laces and a full-length rubber sole unit, you can find a pair at JB and Nike retailers on April 2 for $160.

The biggest news of the day is about an upcoming release from Jordan Brand. Actually it will be the final sneaker release of 2016.

Earlier today Dino Hatfield (@baltsneakershow) reported in an interview with The Shoe Game that there will be a brand new colorway of the Air Jordan 6 releasing on New Year’s Eve. The colorway will be known as the Black Cat and judging from past Black Cat releases (Air Jordan 3 and Air Jordan 4) we can expect to see an all-black shoe with perhaps some minimal contrasting.

There is no images of the shoe yet but all we know is that this Air Jordan 6 will be releasing on December 31, 2016. Stay tuned to Kicks On Fire for more updates on this upcoming release.

Compared to the popular “Playoffs” colorway, this forthcoming rendition of the Air Jordan 12 is treated with a midas touch instead for a more luxurious appeal.

Flaunting a simple two tone color scheme of black and white, the upper is comprised of premium leather, with a smoother build along the eye stays and rear portion, followed by a textured detail across the forefoot. Lavish detailing are evidenced by metallic gold accents gracing the top eyelets and miniature panels on the midsole, which also bears the defining theme.

This latest reveal of the pair showcases that the silhouette will be packaged in a special dust bag as well and detailed with a gold Jumpman logo. Suggested to be extremely limited to only 12,000 pairs, the sneaker is reportedly arriving sometime during April.

Releasing next week will be this brand new colorway of the Air Jordan 5 Low. Previously believed to be inspired by the New York Knicks, it turns out that this colorway of the Air Jordan is actually inspired by the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The date was March 28, 1990 and the Chicago Bulls were facing the Cleveland Cavaliers. This went on to be one of, if not Michael’s greatest game ever as far as stats go as he scored a career-high 69 points and also pulled down 18 rebounds. The shoe he was wearing for that game? The Air Jordan 5. This colorway of the Air Jordan 5 Low features a Deep Royal Blue nubuck upper with Midnight Navy detailing on the midsole and inner liner, and Atomic Orange and Team Orange on the shark teeth, Jumpman branding, the inside of the tongue and the lace lock.

You’ll be able to find this Air Jordan 5 Low at select retailers on March 28th as Jordan Brand will celebrate the 26th anniversary of Michael’s amazing game in Cleveland. I think it’s safe to say at this point that 2016 is unofficially the year of the Air Jordan 5 Low. Whether they’re flying off shelves or not is a different story, but Jordan Brand has and will continue to release a handful of colorways of the low-top model.

One of those colorways that will probably not sit on shelves for too long is this upcoming collaboration with soccer star Neymar. The Air Jordan 5 Low Neymar comes with a cement print upper that features black speckling and is also 3m reflective. In addition to the flashy 3M upper we also see Infrared detailing on the outsole, the inside of the tongue, and the “10” and “23” branding on each of the ankles that represent Neymar and Michael Jordan’s numbers respectively. The rest of the shoe including the tongue, laces, inner liner, eyelets, midsole and side panel mesh netting are all done in black. Capping things off is an icy blue translucent outsole.

There is no exact release date for the Air Jordan 5 Low Neymar yet but they are expected to release some time in June for a retail price of $175. Stay tuned for more here at Kicks On Fire.

Essentially a more lavish interpretation of the classic silhouette, the model is defined by its luxurious tumbled leather build, alongside the application of faux pony hair located on the tongue and exotic textured skin embossed on the collar.

Offset by a clean white rubber outsole component, the limited edition sneaker is rounded out with matching waxed laces, quilted insoles and detailing across its entirety. Priced at $400, find it at select JB and Nike stores on April 9th.

The Air Jordan 4 OG 89 White Cement will not be the only Jordan Brand sneaker getting the OG treatment in 2016. Scheduled to release later this Summer will be OG Black/Metallic Silver colorway of the Air Jordan 5.

Covered in a Black nubuck all throughout the upper, this Air Jordan 5 sticks true to the original and also features a Black midsole with Metallic Silver detailing on the shark teeth. Additional Metallic Silver hits have also been added on the tongue which will most likely be 3M. The Jumpman on the tongue has been colored in Fire Red while the OG Nike Air branding on the heel is done in White.

Let’s tell it like it is, the Air Jordan 5 Low is not doing as well as Jordan Brand anticipated. Most of the colorways that have released end up getting a price cut withing a week of the release date. Even the Air Jordan 5 Low Fire Red  that released not too long ago did not do that well considering it was an OG colorway. Up next is the Air Jordan 5 Low Knicks. Does this colorway have what it takes the give the Air Jordan 5 Low some good recognition.

Dubbed the “Knicks” due to similarity in colors between the shoes and the professional NBA team, the shoe comes dressed in a Deep Royal Blue nubuck upper nicely contrasted by the hits of Orange placed on the inside of the tongue, Jumpman on the tongue, shark teeth on the midsole, lace lock and Jumpman on the heel. In addition, a white sole unit and reflective tongue gives the shoe more of a Knicks feel. Lastly, clear netting on the side panels and tongue and the icy translucent outsole complete the look of the shoe. What do you think of the shoe? Previously available exclusively at 306 Yonge during All Star Weekend in Toronto, the all-black Air Jordan XXX will be getting a wider release on April 16, 2016. In addition to the all-black upper this Air Jordan XXX will be finished off with a translucent outsole.

The Air Jordan 5 Low GS White/Wolf Grey was scheduled to release on March 26th but has now been changed to April 9, 2016. This new colorway of the Air Jordan 5 Low comes with a white leather upper and Wolf Grey detailing on the midsole and tongue while black covers the Jumpman branding on tongue and heel.

Marcus Jordan hinted last week that this upcoming Holiday 2016 was going to be insane. We already knew about True Blue 3s, Cyber Monday 3s, and Space Jam 11s, but what else could there possibly be to top those three hits? According to Balt Sneaker Show, who disclosed the information in an interview with The Shoe Game, Jordan Brand will release a “Black Cat” Air Jordan 6 on New Years Eve. There are no photos for reference, but this is indication that an all-black Air Jordan 6 is in the works. The only other outright “Black Cat” releases are the Air Jordan 3 and Air Jordan 4, so there’s a chance that the upcoming Air Jordan 6 “Black Cat” will feature some minor details like its predecessors.
