First Look At The Air Jordan 11 Low Navy Blue
By SoleInsider
With the Spring/Summer seasons here it should be no surprise to see that lots of brands will be releasing low-top renditions of some of their most classic sneakers. Today we get a first look at an upcoming colorway of the Air Jordan 11 Low.
Dressed in Navy Blue upper on the ballistic mesh upper and the patent leather mudguard, this new colorway of the Air Jordan 11 also features a white midsole for contrast and a gum outsole. The gum outsole is a welcomed sight since we’ve never seen an Air Jordan 11 with a gum outsole.
Take a first look at the sneaker above that will be releasing later this year and stay tuned to Kicks On Fire for release updates.
A navy blue Air Jordan 11? I like how Jordan Brand is thinking outside the box a bit and giving us a completely new colorway. The gum outsole is also a really nice look. The only thing I’m not too happy about is that it’s a low-top. Maybe once I see better pics I’ll be able to give better judgement.

By SoleInsider
For most dwelling in the Northern Hemisphere, rocking Jordan retros isn’t a year-round affair because of the slush and snow. Jordan Brand has tried to reinvent some of their offerings in winterized flavors before – think the Jordan Spiz’ike with a boot tooling and rugged exterior – but now we’re getting word that the Air Jordan 3 and Air Jordan 12 will be the beneficiaries of premium wool uppers. The info floated around Twitter today complete with style code and color information with a vague release outline of October and December. Air Jordan 6 Pinnacle In Gold Releasing In December
By SoleInsider
Holiday 2016 won’t disappoint, according to Michael Jordan’s son Marcus who recently saw his father’s brand’s winter product preview. One of the Jordan releases that will surely cause is a stir is the rumored Air Jordan 6 “Pinnacle”, which is described as a gold/white colorway releasing in December. While no true images exist, we can speculate that the Air Jordan 6 “Pinnacle” could look something like Spike Lee’s PE that was made for him for the Oscars. On the other hand, there’s a chance the hits of gold could be more selective, as seen on the original Air Jordan 6 DMP or the Air Jordan 6 Golden Moments. We’ve got more previews for Holiday 2016 coming soon so stay tuned and let us know what you think about the rumored “Pinnacle” 6s for December.
The jury’s still out on whether or not the whole colorway mash-up known as the “What The” treatment” is still hip in sneakers these days, but there’s no doubt that the upcoming Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG will be welcomed with open arms. Rumors of a What The Air Jordan 1 have been swirling around, but today, what appears to be an official Nike image has surfaced, giving us a first hint as to how this mash-up will be. This could be a photoshop rendering, but the color-blocking, which features hits of “Chicago”, “Bred”, “Royal”, “Shadow”, and much more is said to be on cue with the upcoming July release. Stay tuned for more updates on the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “What The” and let us know if this mash-up of colors fits the Air Jordan 1 silhouette.
Covered in a bright Infrared hue from head to toe, this will mark the first time that we will see the colorway of the Air Jordan 9 arrive at retailers. In addition to the Infrared leather upper we see contrasting black accents land on the tongue, inner liner, laces, Jordan branding on the heel, midole and outsole, and the speckling on the midsole. Lime green detailing also shows up on the heel and on the Air Jordan branding on the tongue to provide some more contrast.
An exact release date has not been announced yet but we expect this Air Jordan 9 Low to release some time in the Spring or Summer of 2016 for a retail price of $170.
Andres Carrillo, News: This is beginning to get out of hand. I’m not sure how many people actually like the Air Jordan 9 Low silhouette to begin with, but this colorway looks like something that should only be placed on a Roshe. Not a good look Jordan Brand.
A brand new colorway of the Air Jordan 6 will be releasing on New Year’s Eve. The colorway will be known as the Black Cat and judging from past Black Cat releases (Air Jordan 3 and Air Jordan 4) we can expect to see an all-black shoe with perhaps some minimal contrasting.
There is no images of the shoe yet. What we do know is that this Air Jordan 6 will be releasing on December 31, 2016. Stay tuned to Kicks On Fire for more updates on this upcoming release.
Author’s Takes
Andres Carrillo, News: I’m curious to see what Jordan Brand does with this Air Jordan 6. Will it look like the Air Jordan 6 Black Infrared without the Infrared detailing? Will it be leather instead of nubuck? We’ll have to wait and see.
A closer look at the recently featured Air Jordan 1 High Nouveau defined by its snakeskin composition is given, as the model is currently available at select retailers nationwide.
Essentially exuding premium flair with its exotic the upper, the component is doused in black, while tonal accents are also applied on the tongue, collar section and Swoosh branding to create a luxurious yet stealthy appearance.
Further detailed with bold red accents adorning the inner lining, wings logo on the ankles and outsole to pronounce the model’s palette, a crisp white midsole unit finishes it all off.
You can purchase a pair at select JB and Nike accounts now for $150.
This White And Metallic Silver Jordan Reveal Is Available Now
By SoleInsider
Jordan Brand has had a knack over the last year or so of releasing new silhouettes without really giving them a proper unveiling or introduction. Some examples that come to mind include the Air Jordan Spike 40 and Air Jordan Horizon. The latest new silhouette to release without any fanfare is the Jordan Reveal.
Previewed on the site earlier this month, the new lifestyle silhouette features an open mesh upper in a mid-top cut along with a bootie-like ankle. This colorway comes in white with metallic silver accents on the heel counter and tongue as well as black detailing on the branding.
If this Jordan Reveal has caught your attention you can pick up a pair now at select Jordan Brand retailers for $115.
I don’t really understand why Jordan Brand lets these new releases just fly underneath the radar. Wouldn’t they want to give them more time and attention so people could actually notice them?I don’t expect anyone to go crazy over this shoe but since it’s sort of affordable some will buy it simply because it’s from Jordan Brand. It does look sort of similar to the Jordan Eclipse so that may also attract people.
Is The Nike Air Max LD-Zero H The Best Release On Air Max Day?
I think it’s safe to say at this point that 2016 is unofficially the year of the Air Jordan 5 Low. Whether they’re flying off shelves or not is a different story, but Jordan Brand has and will continue to release a handful of colorways of the low-top model.
One of those colorways that will probably not sit on shelves for too long is this upcoming collaboration with soccer star Neymar. The Air Jordan 5 Low Neymar comes with a cement print upper that features black speckling and is also 3m reflective. In addition to the flashy 3M upper we also see Infrared detailing on the outsole, the inside of the tongue, and the “10” and “23” branding on each of the ankles that represent Neymar and Michael Jordan’s numbers respectively. The rest of the shoe including the tongue, laces, inner liner, eyelets, midsole and side panel mesh netting are all done in black. Capping things off is an icy blue translucent outsole.
There is no exact release date for the Air Jordan 5 Low Neymar yet but they are expected to release some time in June for a retail price of $175. Stay tuned for more here at Kicks On Fire.
Andres Carrillo, News: The only pretty cool thing about this colorway is the full 3M upper. Other than that I don?t expect this colorway to sell very well.
With plenty of time to grab a pair before the hottest months hit, the summer-friendly Jordan Reveal is now available. The latest Roshe-esque sneaker from Jordan Brand uses the same sole unit of last year’s Eclipse, but opts for a mid-top cut for the breathable mesh upper. In your pick of crisp white with metallic silver accents or a simple black and white look, the Reveal is hitting Jordan Brand retailers like Oneness right now.
Jordan Brand recently decided to change the release date of the Air Jordan 12 French Blue. Unfortunately for those who were looking to pick up a pair this weekend, you’re going to have to wait a little more before you can get your hands on a pair. That doesn’t mean you’re no longer allowed to get excited about the release though. As today we have some pretty cool on-feet images of the shoe to give you a good idea of what the shoe is going to look like once you lace them up.
The Jordan 12 French Blue comes dressed in a full premium leather upper. White leather take care of the majority of the upper, while the French Blue which is found on the mudguard on one side of the shoe acts as the accented color. Additional French Blue is placed midsole, outsole, heel tab and branding on the tongue. White laces are paired up with metal eyelets to tie up the look together. Said to be releasing April 9th for $190, is this the best colorway of the Air Jordan 12 that we’ve see in 2016? Be sure to check in with our Air Jordan 12 French Blue 2016 launch page for additional images, videos and other important updates.

By SoleInsider
The Air Jordan 12 “Wings” is slated for an April release, but now we’re getting word that the premium retro offering will be limited to just 12,000 pairs. A luxurious black leather wraps around the upper, while Metallic Gold accents hit the midsole and metal eyelets to exude a lifestyle quality unlike any other Air Jordan 12 (well, maybe Public School NY’s collaboration could give this pair a run for its money). It’s rumored that the limited release will see proceeds go to the WINGS Foundation. Check out a better preview below and we’ll keep you updated on a release date in the near future.
Sneaker Grails: Justin Timberlakes Air Jordan 2 Legends Of The Summer
By SoleInsider
When I first saw the upcoming Air Jordan 2 Low Gym Red, I immediately thought about the Air Jordan 2 Legends of the Summer for this edition of Sneaker Grails. It’s hard not to make the comparison; both sport a vivid red upper – albeit with very different materials – that makes the shoes a whole better than they really have any business being. Sure, it might not sound like a compliment to call the Gym Red 2s an ersatz Legends of the Summer 2s, but that is high praise considering where most sneakerheads rank the Air Jordan 2 overall.
If you can’t tell, I’m not a fan of the Air Jordan 2 – it’s a blight on the greatness of early Air Jordan models – but something about the red gives them that luxurious touch that Nike was shooting for when they designed the shoe in the first place. No disrespect to Don C and his well-received Air Jordan 2 collaborations, but they pale in comparison to the awesomeness of the Legends of the Summer pair that Justin Timberlake wore for his concert tour with Jay Z back in 2013.
Now I know what you’re thinking, “really, Justin Timberlake?” He’s one of the most popular artists in the world, there’s no arguing that point, but you would never figure him to be a sneakerhead even though he does appear in sneaker blogs regularly whenever he rocks a pair of Js. But somebody at Jordan Brand noticed and as evidenced by their recent packages to one Shane McMahon recently, when they sense a high-profile celebrity has an affinity for kicks and might be doing something on a grand stage, like say a concert series with one of the greatest rappers of all-time, they cook up something special for the occasion. So the Legend of the Summer Jordans were born. Somewhere Jason Sudeikis is like, “what the hell, man?”
Featuring a handful of Air Jordan 1s, an Air Jordan 3 and the subject of this post today, the Legends of the Summer Jordans were a huge hit among sneakerheads. Those whoe were able to get close enough to see them in person were blown away and the blogs were lighting up like it was Christmas every time a picture popped up online. What made the hype train even bigger for the shoes was Timberlake signing the shoes and leaving them in the cities that they toured in. The 2s ended up in Vancouver where a pair of fans scooped them up. I’m guessing Timberlake had one to rock and one to stock so he had no problem giving away the ones he wore on the tour.

Originally, the Legends of the Summer Js were supposed to be a limited affair just for Timberlake and maybe a few friends and family. But soon everybody associated with Jordan Brand from Chris Paul to Carmelo Anthony to Russell Westbrook to DJ Khaled to Macklemore were all getting hooked up with a pair. There are a few that managed to make their way to the resale market and as you might expect, their prices are stupid high. Of course the only pair of 2s I’ve ever wanted in my life cost about the same as a down payment on a decent car.
I first saw the Lengends of the Summer 2s at a (redacted) event with (redacted) where they showed off (redacted). They were on the feet of (redacted… seriously, I’m pretty sure I signed an NDA before that event) and I couldn’t help but stare at them. Yes, I became that sneaker creeper who stares at somebody’s kicks for a little longer than what would be deemed socially acceptable. Thanks goodness (redacted) was really nice about it and I managed to not get escorted out by security. Needless to say, the Air Jordan 2 Low Gym Red now has me seriously considering an Air Jordan 2 purchase for the first time ever. Well, the first time since I saw the Legends of the Summer 2 again at Flight Club.
