Start Celebrating With the Air Jordan 8 Championship Pack Tomorrow

Let the celebration begin. The Air Jordan 8 “Championship Pack” hits the shelves tomorrow. Switching from a “Champagne and Cigar” theme like we’ve seen on the last two packs celebrating Michael Jordan’s sneakers from his first trio of titles, the Air Jordan 8, which he wore during the 1993 Bulls championship run, switches to “Confetti” for one colorway and ” Trophy” for the other. By now you’re probably well aware of what each model looks like, but just in case you need one last look, get it here and then pick up your favorite colorway (or both) at Jordan brand retailers like Wish ATL tomorrow.

Air Jordan 14 Oxidized Releases In July

Jordan Brand only has a handful or so of colorways that haven’t seen a proper retro, and the Air Jordan 14 “Oxidized” was one of them until the announcement that it will release on July 16th. When the Air Jordan 14 debuted in 1999, it had one of the more interesting approaches to colorways in Jordan signature history. There were ‘Bred’ options and the usual Chicago Bulls matching colorways, but the Oxidized Green and Air Jordan 14 “Indiglo” (also set for a return later this year) stood out from the pack thanks to unique accent colorways that weren’t prominent in the Jordan color palette. What do you think of this pair? Check out a brief preview below and stay tuned for more Jordan release dates right here on Sneaker News.

In addition, dark obsidian colors the inner lining for another touch of contrast.

Finished off with shiny metallic silver hits located on its upper eyelets, you can purchase the model at select JB and Nike retailers on Saturday, June 25th, for a retail price tag of $190.

Author’s Take

The Air Jordan 12 has released in a number of solid colorways this year, and this is another great example. If only those blue-colored panels on the sides would be white instead, I?ll be all over it.

In only six more months, the highly-coveted 2016 Air Jordan 11 Space Jam will make its debut, but, until then, here’s the latest images of the forthcoming silhouette.

As previously reported, the model is essentially a remastered OG variation that MJ first wore during the 1995 NBA Playoffs. The classic Concord Jumpman on its heels and the number ?45? stitched on the back heel consists as notable details, in addition to bearing the original ?Nike Air? branded insoles.

Comprised of breathable mesh across its upper with tonal leather accents on the rear, a higher cut patent leather overlay is also evident, which mimics the original pair.

Priced at $220, you can find the sneaker at select JB and Nike retailers on Saturday, December 17.

I?m not that big fan of the higher placement of the patent leather overlay, but this one of my favorite sneakers ever. I?m just glad it?s being released again and hopefully in lots of quantities.

Kawhi Leonard Gets New Air Jordan 30 PEs

Air Jordan Air Jordan 1 Air Jordan 2

Although the San Antonio Spurs failed to advance to the Western Conference Finals this year, JB’s star advocate, Kawhi Leonard, has been given more player exclusive variations of the new Air Jordan 30 silhouette.

Consisting of a gold pack, two colorways are presented — one dressed in black and the other in white. Each pair is defined by a metallic gold midsole to perfectly encapsulate the theme, while it rests atop an icy translucent outsole.

Furthermore, what’s even more interesting is that in the Snapchat viewing, the Air Jordan 31 is reportedly making its debut this September.

Jordan Brand will be releasing their 3rd consecutive Championship Pack this weekend. This year the celebratory pack will consist of two colorways of the Air Jordan 8.

For the past couple of years the theme for the Championship Pack has revolved around Cigar & Champagne idea. This year Jordan Brand switches it up by taking inspiration from the Larry O’Brien trophy and confetti. Both pairs from this collection feature leather uppers. The white pair takes inspiration from the Larry O’Brien trophy as we can see fingerprints appear on the gold detailing by the midsole. The black pair takes inspiration from the confetti that falls from the rafters as the graphic can be seen on various parts of the shoe.

Which pair will you be going after on June 25th? Let us know in the comments below and make sure to head over to our Air Jordan 8 Championship Pack to see more images, release information and other updates on this release.

The mesh upper combined with the clean branding and Zoom technology are all good things. I think this new silhouette should  do as a good trainer.

Don’t really care for the Air Jordan 14 so I’m not really excited about this or any other colorways releasing this year. Easy pass on my end.

Is it worth it? Let us know in the comments below.

Author’s Take

Just a tad bit out of my price range. That’s besides the point because I’m not really a fan of this kind of footwear. So even if I had the funds, I’d use them on something else.

A Closer Look At Both Colorways Of The Air Jordan 8 OVO Kentucky

AIR JORDAN 8 1 AIR JORDAN 8 2 AIR JORDAN 8 3 AIR JORDAN 8 4 AIR JORDAN 8 5 AIR JORDAN 8 6 AIR JORDAN 8 7 AIR JORDAN 8 8

Back during NBA All Star Weekend Drake gave us a sneak peek at two different colorways of the Air Jordan 8 OVO in special Kentucky colorways. Since Drake has close ties with coach Calipari and Kentucky it was not much of a surprise to see him to get his own Ar Jordans using the school colors.

Today we get a closer look at both pairs. The first features a full black nubuck/suede upper with blue/white accents on the inner bootie and liner, midsole, cross straps and the branding on the tongue. The second pair also takes a tonal approach and comes with an all-white leather upper with blue and black detailing throughout. Both pairs are finished off with the OVO owl logo on the heel for that PE touch.

Check out some detailed images of both colorways of the Air Jordan 8 Kentucky OVO above and let us know which pair you like better.

A Closer Look At Drakes Air Jordan 8 OVO Kentucky PEs

Drake’s Air Jordan PE/Sample collection is pretty incredible, because aside from all the designs from the OVO camp that release, there are a lot more that never leave the confines of his sneaker closet. Among the pairs that are most impressive is the duet of Air Jordan 8s colored after the Kentucky Wildcats, with OVO logos on the heel-tabs of the shoes. One detail that was impossible to detect from on-feet photos from afar is the red Jumpman on the tongue logo of the shoes. Will these release? Likely not, but at least we have the OVO 12s coming later this Summer. More photos are ahead.
