I never really liked the silhouette much before, but, I think it?s growing on me since I?ve also grown older, haha. This colorway is appealing and classic. It should get the attention it deserves.

Author’s Take

I?m not really against the shoe?s design. I?m a fan of the simple makeup but the large Jumpman bothers me a bit. This is a nice commemorative colorway though for the host country though.

The gold hits on the shoe are nice, I just wish there was more of them. Adding more gold in places such as the netting, eyelets and/or laces would definitely help give the shoe some more pop.

If the tongue wasn’t patent leather/glossy I’m pretty sure I would have bought these. I love the combination of black and gold but that shiny tongue just makes these look too extravagant.

The Air Jordan 31 USA Hits Stores This Week

The wait is almost over. Jordan Brand’s rollout of the Air Jordan 31 featured both an international theme in honor of the Rio Olympics and an homage to the past given the inspiration behind the latest Jordan signature – the iconic Air Jordan 1. This Wednesday, August 10th, The Jordan XXX1 will debut in both a patriotic “USA” colorway and a “Brazil” look at select retailers.

The Jordan 31 is the third straight signature Jumpman model to champion a Flywave woven upper, but this time around, the contours of the silhouette are more lifestyle friendly than ever, taking design cues from the Air Jordan 1. You can find the similarities most notably on the ankle collar and tongue, but the colorways are what truly help this model stand out. The Air Jordan 31 “USA” utilizes a simple white base while accents of University Red and a Deep Royal Blue adds a clean finish.

The Jordan 31 “Brazil” has already released at select international retailers, but stateside availability is overdue. A vibrant touch of royal blue fades into a Volt-like gradient for a vibrant colorway in honor of the Olympics host country. Are you a fan of either colorway?

The Jordan XXX1 “USA” Olympic pair will release on August 10th for $185 USD. Stay updated on more Jordan release dates right here on Sneaker News.

The Wolf Grey Air Jordan 12 Releases This Weekend

The Air Jordan 12 has released this year in more colorways than ever, featured in a great selection of originals and all-new colorways alike. Even with all the options already out there for the twelfth Air Jordan this year, this grade school exclusive colorway is still going to make a few adults jealous that they won’t be able to fit into a pair. Indeed, this new “Wolf Grey” colorway in a clean and simple white and grey upper looks good enough to be released in full family sizing, but unfortunately for us larger-footed Air Jordan fans, that won’t be the case. For those that can fit into a pair, don;t forget that the Air Jordan 12 “Wolf Grey” drops this Saturday, August 13th at Jordan Brand retailers like Sneaker Politics.

Train Like Michael Jordan Did With The Jordan Breakfast Club

Flashback to 1989. Michael Jordan was yet to be an NBA champion, falling season after season to the dreaded Eastern Conference combination of the Bad Boy-era Detroit Pistons and Larry Bird’s legendary Boston Celtics. That offseason, Jordan was depleted and had hit a wall that he couldn’t quite break through. It was stopping him from accomplishing his dream of winning an NBA championship. So what did MJ do? He developed his patented Jordan Breakfast Club training regiment.

Michael would show up early for pre-practice one-on-one workouts with his personal trainer. Together they focused on strength and weight lifting to combat the extra physicality the game was bringing in the late 80s. Then his teammates began to join the early workout sessions, often times starting as early as 7:00 AM.

The Jordan Breakfast Club would go on to build the foundation of the work ethic that created the Chicago Bulls’ six NBA titles. ?Breakfast Club was a mindset more than a workout,? Jordan said. ?We wanted to be more prepared than anyone else.?

Jordan Brand Re-releases The Neymar x Air Jordan 5 Low

Jordan Brand’s been pushing the boundaries of where the Jumpman logo can go. An icy outsole added a new-aged finish to the premium low-top release priced at a gaudy $200 USD. If you missed out on your chance to grab the Neymar Jordan 5, you can pick up your pair today via Nike SNKRS.

Air Jordan 1 High Red Velvet Releasing As Part Of Upcoming Heiress Collection

Jordan Brand will be releasing more kids-only heat with the upcoming “Heiress Pack” aimed at bringing a grade school girl’s collection of premium themed signatures. It all starts with the Jordan 1 Red Velvet, a pair that transforms the Air Jordan 1 High into a red-carpet worthy offering.

The look could rival the “Pinnacle” releases if it were actual 24K gold. Matching Swoosh branding adds a contrasting leather material to the mix for added depth.

There’s no word yet on a release date for the upcoming Air Jordan 1 Red Velvet, but you can expect this grade school exclusive to arrive sometime during the debut of the Fall/Winter 2016 “Heiress Collection”. Stay tuned for more Jordan release date updates right here on Sneaker News.
