Jordan Brand Has Decided Its Best To Discontinue The Melo Signature Line

Continuity is hard. Change is inevitable. That being said Carmelo Anthony’s Jordan Brand signature line, also known as the Jordan Melo line has been discontinued by Jordan Brand

The Jordan Melo line dropped a total of 13 different Carmelo Anthony signature sneakers, but according to ESPN?s Nick DePaula, Jordan Brand will not be making a Jordan Melo 14 anytime soon.

So what will Carmelo be wearing this upcoming season? Word has it that he will be lacing up in a several different Air Jordan pairs such as the new Air Jordan 32, his favorite retros and even hybrid renditions of his first signature shoe.

Although Carmelo Anthony may no longer have a signature line of sneakers with Jordan Brand, there’s no denying he’s still one of the biggest names the Jumpman has to offer and will remain a key featured athlete for Jordan Brand. Are you upset to see the Jordan Melo line come to an end?

KoF Live: Exclusive On-Feet Look At The Air Jordan 32 Low Banned

Words & Images by Andres Carrillo

The Air Jordan 32 made its retail debut to the world last month when it released in the all-red Rosso Corsa colorway, but in less than two weeks it’ll return in a brand new low-top edition. Dropping on October 18th alongside the Air Jordan 32 (High) Banned, today we bring you an exclusive on-feet look at the Air Jordan 32 Low Banned a few days before they hit your favorite retailers. Let’s dive into the latest edition of KoF Live.

Similar to what Jordan Brand did with the Air Jordan 31 last year, they decided to reach back to their historic lineage for some inspiration. The Air Jordan 32 is a shoe inspired by the essence of the Air Jordan 2, but filled with its fair share of more-than-meets-the-eye tech. The feature that immediately catches your eye is the new Flyknit upper that is more flexible than any previous Jordan upper. Since the Jordan 2 is known for its premium Italian leather when it was first created, JB decided to add some leather on the mudguard as a dope homage to the original.

As far as the sole unit goes, the Air Jordan 32 comes equipped with tuned-up Flight Speed cushioning technology that unleashes the energy of zoom air units along with a herringbone traction pattern that delivers multidirectional grip.

I haven’t had a chance to actually play in the sneakers, but I did lace them on-feet (as you can see). My first reaction is that the Flyknit upper is snug and cozy, and does a good job of locking down/hugging your foot. The sole setup is also nice and cushioned and provides you with that nice extra bounce you desire from a basketball shoe. I’ll keep it short and simple since performance reviews are not my expertise at all haha. I’m definitely looking forward to playing in them though.

Take a look at some exclusive on-feet shots of the Air Jordan 32 Low Banned above and look for the sneaker to release on October 18th for a retail price of $160. Will you be grabbing a pair? Much love and thanks to Jordan Brand for hooking us up with a pair a few weeks before they drop.

Introducing The Jordan Brand Holiday 17 Collection

This morning Jordan Brand officially introduced their upcoming Jordan Brand Holiday ’17 Collection. Consisting of new footwear and apparel, the Jordan Brand Holiday ?17 collection evolves the brand?s iconic heritage while shaping its future. Designed to help athletes Fly Above on and off the court, let’s get a closer look and see what Jordan Brand has to offer these holidays.

Air Jordan 32 (XXXII)

The Air Jordan 32 draws inspiration from the essence of the Air Jordan II, the world?s first luxury basketball sneaker. Highlighted by an unmasked Flyknit upper featuring high-tenacity yarn, an integrated lacing system built into Flyknit construction and tuned-up Flight Speed technology, the 32 provides today?s athletes with the tools to fly above on and off the court. The Air Jordan 32 will come in a “Win Like ’92” and “Win Like ’96” color scheme. What’s the “Win Like Mike” theme?

From a national title-winning shot as a college freshman in 1982 to a record-setting championship season in 1996, MJ?s career was defined by winning. Winning like ?82 and ?96 means more than cutting down nets and raising banners, though, it means knocking down barriers to fly above in the pursuit of greatness.

Jordan 23 Tech Vest

The Jordan 23 Tech Vest features synthetic insulation for lightweight warmth, kangaroo pockets and reflective details that make it versatile enough for training and the streets. Also pictures in the images above is the Jordan Balaclava Hoodie and the Jordan 23 Tech Shield Pant.

Air Jordan 11 Win Like ’82

As a tribute to his alma mater, MJ famously wore his collegiate practice shorts under his professional uniform. The Air Jordan 11 Win Like ?82 celebrates this ritual by featuring a university blue Jumpman and midnight navy patent leather that ties back to his alternate practice short colorway.

Air Jordan 11 Win Like ’96

The Air Jordan 11 Win Like ?96 celebrates his professional supremacy in a color scheme new to the silhouette. Featuring premium patent leather with brilliant red and an icy translucent outsole, this colorway becomes the boldest Air Jordan XI tribute to Chicago yet.

Be Like Mike

The ?Be Like Mike? campaign, airing in the late summer of 1991 after his first championship, marked the beginning of MJ?s famed title runs and transformation into a global icon. What once stood strictly as a motivation to be like him on the court soon evolved into a message that was bigger than basketball. Being like Mike meant more than just slam dunks and championship rings, it represented greatness in all forms. Twenty-six years later, the campaign continues to inspire past and present generations to pursue greatness. Now when you hear ?Be like Mike,? it means something so much more than being like the greatest of all time ? It means being your greatest at all times. Stay tuned…

Take a look at the rest of the collection above which also includes a new Jordan Trunner LX High and the Air Jordan 1 High Flyknit in the Golden Harvest colorway, the Jordan Wings MA-1 Jacket and the Jordan Aereoloft Parka.

What’s your favorite piece from the collection?

Stay tuned as more info begins to surface.

The Hornets-Inspired Air Jordan 32 CEO Releases Next Week

A handful of new colorways of the Air Jordan 32 were unveiled today by Jordan Brand with one of those being this never-before-seen “CEO” colorway.

As majority owner of the Charlotte Hornets NBA franchise, Michael Jordan has taken lots of opportunities to pay his respects to the squad with a number of different retro releases. This year he was even able to replace add his Jumpman logo on the Hornets jerseys as opposed to every other team in the league who have the Nike logo. Next week we’ll see the arrival of a brand new colorway of the Air Jordan 32 that has been dubbed the CEO. Clearly inspired by the Charlotte Hornets, this Air Jordan 32 features a Black Flyknit upper with teal and purple accents on the branding, the Flyknit upper, and the translucent outsole.

Look for the Air Jordan 32 CEO to make its way to retailers next week on October 20th for a price tag of $185. Will you be grabbing a pair?

The Air Jordan 32 Russ Will Release Next Month

About a month ago Russell Westbrook signed a new contract extension with Jordan Brand that will make him the face of the brand for at least the next 10 years. This new contract will also include his very own signature shoe with the Jumpman, which will most likely debut some time next year. But while The Brodie waits for his own shoe, JB is already making him PE colorways of the Air Jordan 32 that he’s expected to wear this upcoming season.

The best thing about this PE colorway that we see above is that it’ll be making its way to retailers for all of you Thunder fans to enjoy. Known as the Air Jordan 32 Russ, this colorway is clearly inspired by the team colors of the Oklahoma City Thunder as a bright blue dominates the entire Flyknit upper and midsole while subtle hits of Orange complete the Thunder homage. Westbrook’s “WHY NOT” mantra can be seen on on the inside of the tongues as well as inside the icy translucent outsoles.

Look for the Air Jordan 32 Russ to release on November 22, 2017 for a retail price of $185. Any Thunder/Westbrook fans plan on scooping up a pair next month?

More Images Of Next Years Air Jordan 3 OG Retro GS Black Cement

As most of you know by now, the Black Cement 3s are getting the retro treatment next year. Lately we’ve only seen images of the grade school version, but have no fear we promise adult-sized versions of the iconic sneaker are also set to drop. While we wait for the first adult-sized image leak of the shoe, today we take yet another detailed look at the Air Jordan 3 OG Retro Black Cement in grade -school sizing.

The Air Jordan 3 OG Retro GS Black Cement rocks a Black, Cement Grey, White and Fire Red color scheme. The upper is made out of a Black tumbled leather while the Cement Grey takes care of the lining, collar and the elephant print on the toe and heel overlays. Fire Red claims areas such as the eyeleys, Jumpman branding on the tongue, tongue lining, insoles and part of the outsole. Nike Air branding can be spotted on the insoles and heel tab, but not on the outsoles. It’s unclear as to why that’s the case but still a dope shoe nonetheless.
