The upper comes constructed out of nubuck (instead of the ballistic mesh) along with the signature shiny patent leather mudguard in Medium Grey and Gunsmoke. The official images you see above are NOT of the upcoming Air Jordan 4 NRG Raptors set to drop to the public next month. They’re actually the official images of Drake’s version of the Air Jordan 4 Raptors that was supposed to release but is no longer scheduled to drop.

This Air Jordan 4 Raptors was set to be the latest installment of the Jordan Brand x Drake collection, but being the Drake’s move to adidas is all but announced, that idea was scratched. Although Drake’s version will be very similar to the pair that’s actually dropping, it does come with some differences. This Air Jordan 4 was going to come with Drake?s name on the tongue right under the Jumpman branding.

The colorway is inspired by the Toronto Raptors, Drake?s home basketball team which he serves as global ambassador for. It is believed that this Air Jordan 4, along with the blue Cactus Jack pair that is a collaboration with rapper Travis Scott, were both intended to pay homage to their home teams using the, Travis Scott to the Houston Oilers and Drake to the Toronto Raptors.
