adidas Shipped Out Original Pirate Black Yeezys During Last Weeks Release
By SoleInsider
Last weekend, adidas Originals dropped another installment of the adidas Yeezy 350 Boost “Pirate Black”. The “2.0” pair wasn’t exactly the same as the original release either, as plenty of people noted additional heel padding for more support for this Yeezy pair. When released on February 19th, people started reporting that while the box and style code were completely different, some lucky (or unlucky, depending on perspective) customers got the original Pirate Blacks. Would you be upset if you ordered these Yeezys and wound up with the original Pirate Black pair? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
An All-White Colorway Of The adidas NMD Is Coming Soon
By SoleInsider
The new colorways of the adidas NMD continue to roll out week after week. A new colorway that will be releasing some time in the month of May with this Vintage White version that features an all-white Primeknit upper.
Adding some contrast to the look are hits of red and blue overlaying on the midsole. Just like every pair before this one the BOOST midsole has been left in white but as we’ve already seen that won’t be the case for much longer. Retail price for the white, blue and red colorway of the adidas NMD will be $170 with a release date expected in May. Keep it locked to Kicks On Fire for more images and information regarding this NMD.
I’m sure that these will sell out just as fast as the all-white Ultra Boosts. Just don’t let Kanye be seen wearing these too because if he does they’ll be impossible to get your hands on.

The adidas Y-3 Chimu Boost Is The Latest Model The Y-3 Line Has To Offer
By SoleInsider
The adidas Y-3 line keeps expanding their wide array of footwear options as they just released yet another brand new model. Dubbed the adidas Y-3 Chimu Boost, today we take a look at the two inaugural colorways that will help debut the brand new Y-3 offering.
The shoe will come in a low-top slim looking fashion constructed out of neoprene material. The shoe will also come with an elastic strap on the heel to secure the ankle as well as a patent leather panel utilized as part of the lacing system. Lastly, the beloved Boost technology is placed on the all-white midsole. You have two colorways to choose from, matte black and white, or grey, black and white. Available now, pick up your very own pair today.
In my opinion, the shoe is a bit underwhelming considering the fact that it’s a Y-3 offering. I usually like what the line has to offer, but I’ll have to pass on this model.
This Raf Simons x adidas Originals Stan Smith Collaboration Will Cost How Much!
By SoleInsider
Typically, a regular version of the adidas Originals Stan Smith will only set you back around $75-$90. This Raf Simons x adidas Originals Stan Smith collaboration is not your regular version release, and it will definitely not cost you around $75-$90. Putting some minimal high fashion aesthetics on the shoe will have you paying a pretty hefty price.
The limited release comes in a white and green colorway where the white is seen on the leather upper and the green acts as the complimenting accent color found on the heel tab of the shoe. One major difference you can spot on the shoe is the the perforated Three Stripes usually found on the side panels is replaced with a perforated R that is meant to stand for Raf. In addition to the perforated branding, the shoe will also come with “Raf Simons” debossed on the side of the heel and your traditional Stan Smith/Trefoil branding placed on the heel tab. Metal eyelets, a leather lining, tonal white laces and a white sole units rounds out the feature on the shoes. Retail price? A cool $455. Would you cop or is this way too much?
I’ma keep it real, you’re really paying for the name on this high fashion collaboration. There’s no way this shoe is worth $455. It all trickles down to supply and demand. As long as people keep buying at ridiculous prices, they will continue to deliver product.

Damian Lillard Drowns Out The Critics With The adidas D Lillard 2 Static
By SoleInsider
Many people feel that Damian Lillard was this year’s biggest All Star snub as he’s playing the best basketball of his career this season and hoping to lead the Portland Trailblazers to the playoffs with a completely revamped team.
In his first game after the All Star break the Blazers went head to head against the Warriors and Lillard outperformed superstar Stephen Curry as he lead the Blazers to a blowout win of 137-105 and posted a career-high 51 points to go along with seven assists and six steals. He’s the first Blazer to to post 30+ points in four-straight games since Clyde Drexler and the first player in NBA history to hit 150+ threes in his first four seasons. Even though he didn’t get the All Star recognition he deserves, Dame still knows that he’s still an elite player in this league and doesn’t need anyone’s assurance.
?I don?t need validation ? they?ve seen what I can do out there,? Dame explained. ?As a man, I?ve grown to rise above it all and block out the noise. I?ll keep pushing, keep working and soon enough they?ll wake up.?
In honor of this adidas has created the adidas D Lillard 2 Static that features white and black threads that deliver a fuzzing static effect along the upper along with additional black detailing and Oak Print accents on the heel cap and lace lock.
The adidas D Lillard 2 Static is a symbol of Dame?s motivation to drown out the noise and reflects his unrelenting focus. Purchase your pair beginning on February 27th at Footlocker, Eastbay and adidas.com for $105.
Author’s Take
The simple black and white colorway on this adidas D Lillard 2 is a good look. The fuzz static on the upper sort of gives them a Winter look but at the same time achieves the “static” look they were hoping for.
The adidas Ultra Boost had one hell of a 2015. Looking to have an even better 2016, expect the Ultra Boost to come at us better than ever. One of the first offerings of the new year is the adidas Ultra Boost Solar Red . If it’s a bold offering that you’re looking for, this is the Ultra Boost for you.
The Primeknit upper comes in a predominantly all-red motif, as a gradient pattern on the toe box also includes a different shade of red as well as some orange to create the monochromatic look of the shoe. Black accents are found on the heel counter and rubber outsole, while the customary white Boost modsole once again makes an appearance. Available now, pick up your pair at select retailers for $180.
Ever since I saw the gradient uppers on the Ultra Boost, I never really liked them, this one is no different. Don’t get me wrong, the show is dope but I just prefer the tonal/non-gradient look on them.
The Reebok Question Unworn Is Allen Iverson’s Greatest “What If?” Sneaker
The stylish Boost-cushioned offerings from the adidas Y-3 line are expanded further this spring with a new model, the Chimu Boost. This next addition to Yohji Yamamoto’s adidas imprint that seems to be ever-growing in popularity features a slim and low minimalist upper in neoprene with a unique patent leather panel for the lacing system. An elastic strap secures the ankle, while the full-length Boost sole keeps you comfy in style. Today we get a preview of two upcoming colorways – one featuring the signature matte black and white combination that Y-3 is famous for, and the other in an “Oreo”-like colorway with a black and white speckled base. Look for the Y-3 Chimu Boost now at select retailers around the world.
Would You Pick Up This adidas NMD Mid Suede Sample
By SoleInsider
Could we possibly see mid-top versions of the adidas NMD in the near future? If so, don’t be surprised if it looks like the sample you see above. Let’s take a closer look at the adidas NMD Mid Suede Sample.
The mid-top NMD sample opts to ditch the Primeknit/mesh upper in favor of a premium suede construction placed all over the chukka-style upper. Giving the shoe a more sleek and premium look is that fact that it comes with a seamless construction. Below you will still find the Boost midsole coming in an all-white aesthetic to create some nice contrast and overall balance. German branding, which translates to “3 Stripes World Market”, is placed on the heel tab. The shoe you see above is a rarity owned by Index PDX which can be yours to own for a cool $1,200. Who knows, maybe if there’s enough hype behind the shoe we could see something similar release somewhere down the line.
One of the reason I like the NMD is because of it’s Primeknit/mesh consturction, which helps make the shoe a comfortable option. Removing that aspect of the shoe makes it less appealing to me. If they were to drop something similar to these, I would no be picking up.
Tune Out The Noise With The adidas D Lillard 2 Static
By SoleInsider
Damian Lillard is used to being looked over. It’s something that happened to him in High School, the NBA Draft, Team USA summer camps, and even this year’s All-Star Game. Dame wanted to remind everyone that he’s one of the game’s best young stars after the mid-season break by lighting up the league-best Warriors, blowing out the Western Conference juggernaut while becoming the quickest to record a 50 point game. It only took Dame 31 minutes and 6 seconds to log his career high against one of the NBA’s best defenses and the overall flurry definitely served as a reminder to how dangerous a weapon Lillard is on the court.
The rest of the talk is just noise. That’s the theme of the latest adidas D Lillard 2, nicknamed the “Static” for its black and white interwoven threads complete with bold contrast midsole speckling. ?I don?t need validation ? they?ve seen what I can do out there,? Dame said after the recent Warriors game. ?As a man, I?ve grown to rise above it all and block out the noise. I?ll keep pushing, keep working and soon enough they?ll wake up.? Don’t let the D Lillard 2 go under your radar. The pair is available February 27th for $105 from select retailers.

By SoleInsider
The latest variation of the popular Raf Simons x adidas Originals Stan Smith for Spring/Summer 2016 is revealed, as the model is defined by Lush Green.
Essentially a luxurious iteration of the iconic sneaker, yet maintaining its signature profile intact, the only noticeable difference consists of the letter “R” perforated into the side panels which represents the Belgian fashion designer, as well as replacing the traditional three-stripe branding instead.

With that price tag, I’d rather purchase it in its original collaboration-free iteration. The silhouette is classic and appealing nonetheless, but there’s resale value for these anyway, haha.
The adidas Y-3 QR Run is introduced in two new colorways this season, which essentially utilizes black and white for superb versatility.
