Summer is almost here and adidas is preparing us with a couple of fresh new colorways of the adidas ZX Flux Racer Asym.

After showing you the upcoming Primeknit version last week that, we now take a look at a couple of new options that utilize different materials. These two colorways of the adidas ZX Flux Racer Asym come dressed in a two-tone waffle mesh textile on the upper with an eye-catching all-over fade effect on the upper that gives off a washed-out aesthetic. Other details include contrast color pops on the overlays and a semi-translucent midsole. There will be two colorways releasing, core black and blue.

Both of these new colorways of the adidas ZX Flux Racer Asym will be releasing on April 14th at participating adidas retailers.

Author’s Take

After seeing the Primeknit version last week, I have to say that I prefer those over these mesh pairs. These will most likely come at a lower price though so they’re still a good alternative.

When it comes to iterations/hybrid versions of the adidas Originals Superstar, the adidas Superstar Slip On is in a league of its own. Rocking a one of a kind look, the slip on version of the Superstar share very few similarities to the original Superstar model. Today we take a look at two brand new colorway for the ladies coming in either khaki green and a bold teal.

When it comes to the construction of the slip on, the shoe comes dressed in a open mesh upper paired up with the elastic forefoot straps that not only provide a new dimension to the shoe but are also there to provide a lockdown fit. One of the few parts of the shoe that remains true to form is the shell toe. Debossed branding appears on the tongue and heel strap of the shoe. The khaki green or bold teal upper is contrasted by the all white sole unit seen below. Available internationally, let us know if this is a version of the Superstar that you’d wear.

The Stan Smith has been created in an endless amount of variations. It’s impossible to count how many different versions/styles the model has gone through. This Bait x adidas Originals Stan Smith Vulc dubbed “Happy 420,” consists as the latest iteration of the silhouette.

Essentially taking cues from the code-term that refers to the annual consumption of cannabis or as a way to identify oneself with cannabis culture, the sneaker’s upper is comprised of a natural hemp that has been heat pressed with a stoned-out pattern.

Further detailed with a hairy suede green heel tab and the iconic trefoil logo in contrasting white, the model’s tongue label also receives a unique branding that is inspired by the medicinal nature of hemp and how it is now considered a pharmaceutical drug.

Other notable finishes include cork footbeds with a pharmaceutical sticker that express the side effects of the silhouette, stash pockets on the interior of the tongue and three options of laces with a Stoned-out, black and white pair.

Following Tokyo and Boston, this adidas EQT Running Support 93 London edition continues the brand’s “Marathon Series” which was revealed earlier in the year.

Essentially inspired by the classic trainer that debuted in 1976 as part of the ?city series? which included additional city colorways for Berlin and Dublin, the model is composed of a mixed suede and leather upper highlighted in black and red.

White nylon underlays are applied on the signature three stripe branding across its side panels, while the pristine hue flows into the midsole and transitions back to red. Furthermore, the national flag of the U.K. is featured on the heel tab to coordinate with its theme respectively.

Rounded out by a classic gum outsole that perfectly complements its overall aesthetic, the sneaker is priced at $150 and can be purchased at select adidas stockists worldwide starting April 23rd.

Kobe has been part of the Nike team for over a decade now, but before he was reppin’ for the Swoosh he was on team adidas.

With Kobe’s final game ever taking place this Wednesday, we have just found out that adidas has also created a farewell sneaker pack for the Black Mamba. Posted by Toronto Raptors guard Kyle Lowry on his Instagram yesterday, above we can see what’s being known as the adidas Kobe Vino Pack that features the adidas Top Ten 2000 and the adidas Crazy 8. Both pairs have been hit with cork detailing and pay homage to Kobe Bryant’s “Vino” nickname that he received as he’s gotten “older.” There is also an adidas Crazy 97 that is part of the pack but it’s not pictured above.

There is no word on whether or not this adidas Kobe Vino Pack will be releasing or if it’s exclusive to certain people but we’ll keep you updated here at Kicks On Fire.

Out of the two silhouette in the picture I’m only a fan of the Crazy 8. However, I feel that the Vino/cork theme was executed better on the Top Ten 2000. Hopefully adidas does release this pack in the near future.

A brand new colorway of the adidas Tubular X just dropped and today we’re showing you the latest images of the bold colorway done up on Tubular X Model.

Opting to rock the all-red look, the Tubular X is constructed out of a textile base complimented by the leather overlays. The heel region of the shoe will comes with rubber detailing.
