A Detailed Look At The Upcoming adidas Consortium x KITH ASPEN Pack
By SoleInsider
Winter season is about to get lit with this upcoming adidas Consortium x KITH ASPEN Pack! adidas Consortium and Ronnie Fieg (Kith) have linked up to release this special pack that commemorates Fieg’s three-month pop-up shop in Colorado.
The adidas Consortium x KITH ASPEN Pack will consists of the first ever adidas UltraBOOST Mid and a pair of the adidas Response Trail Boost.
The UltraBOOST Mid is definitely the pair most people are taking a close look at. The beloved Ultra Boost is converted into a Mid-top with the help of a sock-like extending all the way up the ankle. The cageless upper comes with taped paneling for added protection as well as a way to represent the Three Stripes branding. The construction of the shoe appears to be some thicker dyed yarn ideal for the winter months. The colors used on the woven upper match the colors you see on the laces. A White heel counter, White Boost midsole White tongue tag and White heel pull tab add some nice contrast to the shoe. Retail price is $210.
The adidas Response Trail Boost is a trail shoe that gets a lifestyle makeover. It comes equipped with a neoprene collar to go along with the speed lacing system. The sole consists of a hybrid of exposed BOOST midsole and a and hard-wearing, grippier rubber. Retail price id $160. Which pair are you feeling the most? Let us know in the comments below.
You can purchase both pairs exclusively at all KITH flagship locations and through its online shop starting Friday, December 23. The online release will begin at 12AM EST.
The adidas NMD continues to be one of the most sought after lifestyle models on the market, and for good reason. The simple yet sleek design pays homage to some of the most iconic and unique retro running models in adidas’ vast archives, and the upper has given us plenty of options whether it be Primeknit, mesh, or the casually-minded City Sock. Today we get a look at the new adidas NMD R1 “Georgetown” colorway. Sure, the Hoyas might be a Jumpman school, but the combination of Dark Grey and Collegiate Navy should definitely bring memories of the legendary collegiate basketball program.
The adidas NMD R1 Georgetown benefits from different shades of slate blue and grey throughout while the midsole and outsole bring black to contrast with the navy heel panel. What do you think of the look? Grab your pair today from select retailers like JD Sports.

Adidas Skateboarding will be starting 2017 off right by releasing the all-new adidas Busenitz Vulc RX. The sneaker is an updated version of the Busentiz Vulc blended with the DNA of adidas’ iconic Samba ? a quintessential indoor soccer shoe introduced to the world more than 65 years ago.

The adidas Superstar was recently outfitted with cork toes to replace the traditional rubber shell toe. So what’s next? Metal toes.
Seen above are two of the newest colorways of the classic Superstar. Both feature the traditional leather construction on the upper in OG colorways of black/white and white/black. Where things get really interesting is on the toe where we see Metallic toes in gold (black pair) and silver (white pair). Both are then finished off with gold or silver branding on the tongues and side panels.
Which pair do you like better? Get a good look at both colorways above and check for them at select retailers in the near future.
The adidas Ultra Boost will continue its dominant run well into 2017, as the third installment of the three stripe’s running model features an updated Primeknit woven upper, new details on the heel cage, and alternating choices of matte or translucent finishes on the three stripe overlays. Today we get a look at the adidas Ultra Boost Royal Purple, a pair that takes a regal shade of violet to task with alternating white stripes.
Perhaps the most interesting feature of this upcoming adidas Ultra Boost 3.0 colorway is the vibrant semi-see-through violet cage that adds a flare for the dramatic in a way we haven’t yet seen on the Ultra Boost model. There’s still no word on whether the Ultra Boost Royal Purple will be a women’s exclusive or available to all, but stay tuned.

KoF Field Trip: adidas Dame 3 Roots Quick Look (Video)
By SoleInsider
Oakland, Ogden, Oregon.
Damian Lillard is nothing without his family, his community, and his team. It’s why the letter O means so much to him. It’s a great name for a mixtape, but those three places helped shape Dame into a two-time NBA All-Star, former Rookie Of The Year and now a three-time signature shoe athlete. Amazing how all the 3s come together into one package, the new adidas Dame 3. It’s like they plan these things way ahead of time.
While we know the story of Dame’s rise from Oakland to Ogden, it’s the Oregon part that intrigues us the most. As a member of the Portland Trail Blazers, Dame has unprecedented access to adidas being a literal drive away. According to various adidas officials, Dame is practically an employee in the traditional sense because he’s at campus almost every day when he’s not on the road. He’s able to test his shoe, get them customized to his specific needs in a way that maybe an adidas athlete who can only get to Portland a handful of times in a year wouldn’t be able to. It’s the difference between being an athlete who has a signature shoe that has their name on it and those who have a signature shoe that truly earns the title.
We say it with every signature shoe launch when it comes to Lillard 3, but the Dame is without a doubt his most personal release yet. Homages to his hometown, his grandparents and the Three Os adorn the shoe from sole to the upper to the sockliner. It’s these personal touches that give anybody that wears the Dame 3 a connection to the man himself.
And anybody that wears the shoe will also know that Dame himself personally wants everybody to wear the shoe and that’s why it’s priced so competitively at $115. In a day and age when signature shoes were being priced way out of control, we are now just seeing the pushback from the sneaker community as price drops come from all of the brands. But Dame stayed true and even when the Lillard 2 ended up with a Primeknit upper and Boost, it was still dropped way below what you would expect with such (well-deserved) hyped technology.
The three launch colorways of the Dame 3, Roots, Rip City, and Chinese New Year, feature a mesh upper and a Bounce cushioning. As somebody who fell in love with the adidas alphaBounce, it was heartening to hear that elements of that extremely comfy, breathable (at least the EM one), and affordable has been crossing over to various key adidas silhouettes.
Check out the video up top for my thoughts on the Dame 3, including the changing stripe placement and the unique lacing system, and the video below for the swag bag we got prior to the event. And just for fun, I asked our staff to share their thoughts on the Dame 3, Buy, Pass, Wait style, but without actually asking them if they would buy, pass or wait a pair.
Renz Ofiaza, News: I liked the D Lillard 2 in a few colorways and compared to its successor in the Dame 3, this new design is a definite upgrade. The unique lacing panel system gives it a modern vibe, as well as creating a dynamic aesthetic that makes the shoe more lifestyle appealing in my opinion. I also like how the sleek profile was retained and the revamped midsole seems promising for delivering more comfort.
Juan Carrillo, News: The D Lillard 2 was a good looking shoe, but D Lillard 3 is also dope looking in its own way. The lacing system sort of reminds me of the Pharrell x adidas Human Race releases, which is a good thing. It’s very smooth looking and it looks like it has a good casual look to it as well.
Andres Carrillo, News: My first reaction to the Dame 3 (I like the name change by the way) is that it looks completely different from the 1 and 2. One of the biggest issues of the D Lillard 2 to me was that it looked real similar to the D Lillard 1. However, adidas decided to go with a completely new look this time around and I think it worked out well for them. Out of the three colorways we’ve seen I like the Chinese New Year pair best. I like the new lacing system that extends down to the side panels and the graphics on the midsole. My favorite thing though has to be the new TECHFIT bootie that hugs the foot and features Dame’s “D” logo front center. It’s really in your face and I think that’s real important when it comes to a signature shoe, that way people can identify who it belongs to. I’m looking forward to future colorways. Also the $115 price tag is something that many people are gonna love. The only thing missing is Boost. What’s up with that adidas?

Another lifestyle perspective of the 2017 adidas Yeezy Boost 350 v2 Black Red is featured, as it’ll consist as one of four other variations (as of now), for its lineup next year.
Kanye West wore this particular pair during his fashion presentation of YEEZY Season 4 during NYFW in September, although, recent sightings of the silhouette have portrayed it with a heel tab ? a design element that was first prominent on the original Yeezy Boost 350.
Furthermore, this 2017 pair still inherits that distinctive stripe detail across its side panels, which is camouflaged due to its blacked-out primeknit construction.

Suggested to release in infant sizes as well, you can expect to find this limited edition model at select adidas retailers sometime next year.

adidas Named Sports Brand Of 2016 By Yahoo! Finance
By SoleInsider
Not that anybody needed Yahoo! to tell them, but the media corporation confirmed that adidas is absolutely killing it right now in the footwear industry. Today Yahoo! Finance announced adidas as their sports business of the year, citing that the Three Stripes are now enjoying an almost 3% rise in their share of the US athletic footwear market from 4.3% last year to 7.2% in 2016 (Likewise, Nike’s share fell almost 3%). adidas has also gained back the #2 spot in the footwear market, which was previously held by Skechers since 2015.
As you can probably guess, Yahoo! attributes the new rise of adidas to their popular Boost line, as well as the brand’s overhaul of their aesthetic with a more seamless transition from performance to lifestyle. In other words, the approach Nike has championed for years. Factor in the ultra popular NMD line and the far-reaching “cool factor” of Kanye West’s YEEZY line, and it’s clear to see that adidas is hotter than ever. So what does 2017 and beyond look like for adidas? We don’t know about you, but we’re excited to see what happens next from the Three Stripes.
