The adidas Tubular Doom Primeknit Delivers For September 2016

The adidas Tubular Doom has long since been a fan favorite for its unique midsole, sleek design, and the ability flawlessly blend its early 90s past as a training model with today’s most coveted lifestyle aesthetic choices – a high-arching ankle collar, sock-like fit, and beautiful Primeknit woven upper. For those of you that are currently on the adidas Originals bandwagon – and that should be just about everyone these days – we have some good news: two brand new tonal colorways of the adidas Tubular Doom Primeknit are headed to retailers on Friday, September 9th.

The adidas Tubular Doom Primeknit utilizes a monochromatic “Core Black” colorway with a brand new herringbone pattern on the neoprene overlaying straps to differentiate the numerous panels for a head-turning look. A premium suede hits the heel and side panel overlay to honor the original Tubular model from 1993 while contrasting adidas trefoil branding hits the tongue tab. For those looking for a lighter pair, there’s also a “Vintage White” offering headed to retailers this weekend as well. The inverted colorway also features herringbone patterns throughout while an underlying woven construction brings comfort and breathability with ease.

It’s been a cool minute since we’ve seen something new from the adidas Los Angeles. That all changes today as we take a look at a colorway that will be arriving this Fall.

The new low top runner from the Three Stripes comes dressed with a woven mesh upper on the side panels, ankle, heel, and tongue in Dark Blue and Chalk White. Grey then lands on the toe with a white midsole and gum outsole finishing things off down below.

Are you a fan of the adidas Los Angeles? You can look for this colorway at select international retailers now if you want to add a new pair to your collection.

Author’s Take

I think the adidas Los Angeles is a silhouette that gets overlooked. If adidas were to add a Boost midsole it would be a lot more popular.

The navy pair with maroon/purple accents is probably my favorite out of these three colorways. Not sure if I would actually buy it though.

Author’s Take

Never owned a pair of Y-3s, not because I don’t like them but because it’s hard for me to pay $600+ for one pair of shoes. Also, I wished they came with a Boost sole, I really don’t care about the Tubular.

adidas NMD Preview For October 2016

adidas-nmd-october-2016-preview-01

adidas Originals has struck gold with the adidas NMD, as the head-turning model has blended the past perfectly with the lifestyle sensibilities of the present. 2016 has seen countless NMD releases flood through the summer months, but what’s on the horizon for Fall/Winter 2016? Earlier today we showed you the upcoming “Winter Wool” Collection, two Primeknit renditions that added a bolstered wool upper to withstand the colder elements coming soon. Now three new colorways of the adidas NMD R1 see added suede and mesh for October 2016.

The adidas NMD R1 was created with three classics from the mid-80s in mind. The adidas Micropacer, the adidas Rising Star, and the adidas Boston Super all serve as inspirations behind this model while the latest technological advancements of Primeknit (sometimes) and Boost (always) held down the present. The sock-like upper and lightweight, comfortable ride has been a fan favorite ever since being introduced and these three colorways can add more options to anyone’s wardrobe in the near future. A light blue and yellow combination should make UCLA fans happy as a slate like greyish blue dominates the upper. Also available is a simple black and royal to take things back to the basics or a clean navy and maroon.

Check out more detailed photos below and be on the lookout for this trio of NMD R1 releases to arrive later this October. For more updates, be sure to head over to our release dates page.

Detailed Look At The adidas NMD Winter Wool Collection

The adidas NMD series has dominated the summer months thanks to the perfect combination of either a breathable mesh ventilated upper or the ever versatile Primeknit complete with a full-length Boost cushion system on the midsole. Inspired by such trefoil classics as the retro-futuristic Micropacer and the Boston Super, adidas tapped into something truly special with the adidas NMD imprint and now we’re going to see how the silhouette adjusts for the upcoming Fall/Winter 2016 release slate with this “Winter Wool” Collection.

adidas Originals adds a new bolstered Wool Primeknit to both the adidas NMD R1 and the adidas NMD City Sock, both returning in a simple Core Black colorway to showcase the new textile upper. The always flexible Primeknit tooling allows for a sock-like fit on both pairs while added tape on the City Sock creates a more supportive and futuristic aesthetic throughout.

Check out more detailed photos after the break and know that you can reserve both pairs via the adidas Confirmed App today before the release on September 9th.

Ostrich Detailing Is Featured On The adidas Gazelle

ADIDAS GAZELLES 1 ADIDAS GAZELLES 2 ADIDAS GAZELLES 3 ADIDAS GAZELLES 4 ADIDAS GAZELLES 5 ADIDAS GAZELLES 6 ADIDAS GAZELLES 7

There’s plenty of adidas Gazelle colorways that you can pick from at the moment, but if you want something with a little more flair then perhaps you’ll be interested in this new Ostrich Pack.

Covered in your choice of black or gold/yellow suede on the upper, these two colorways of the popular Gazelle are spruced up a bit thanks to ostrich textured leather detailing on the medial branding stripes in brown or grey. White detailing is then placed on the leather heel tabs and the sole unit.

Look for the adidas Gazelle Ostrich Pack to arrive at select retailers later this month.

via: Hanon

Author’s Take

If both the medial and lateral branding stripes would have been done in ostrich detailing the shoe would have looked even better. I hope more colorways are released in the future.

The adidas Originals Tubular Doom Primeknit Goes Black And White

ADIDAS TUBULAR DOOM 1 ADIDAS TUBULAR DOOM 2 ADIDAS TUBULAR DOOM 3 ADIDAS TUBULAR DOOM 4

A new colorway of the adidas Originals Tubular Doom Primeknit has recently surfaced and this one takes on the traditional Black and White motif. If you like to keep things classic and subtle, take a good first look at this pair.

One thing worth mentioning about this version of the shoe is that the pattern of the Primeknit upper is different that past iterations. The shoe starts off with a Black base and is quickly contrasted by the White hits that help form the geometric pattern that creates stripes with rectangular shaped breaks. A Black sock liner and a White Tubular sole complete the major features on the shoe. Said to be dropping later on this upcoming Fall season, let us know what you think.

via: Inflammable

Author’s Take

I like the adidas Originals Tubular Doom Primeknit, I just wish wish adidas would replace the Tubular sole with a Boost sole, but if that were to happen it wouldn’t be a Tubular model anymore, right?
