The Next Parley x adidas Collection Raises Awareness Of The Threat Of Coral Bleaching
By SoleInsider
adidas and Parley have joined forces yet again for footwear capsule designed to raise awareness one on one of the more pressing issues plaguing our oceans. The light blue colorway seen across the Ultra Boost 3.0, Ultra Boost Uncaged, and Ultra Boost X is inspired by coral bleaching, which is an ongoing crisis that threatens our waters. Furthermore, all three Ultra Boost models make use of 11 recycle plastic bottles on the Primeknit upper as well as on the webbing on the heel. All three shoes are equipped with an NFC chip, which allows consumers to learn more about the adidas x Parley partnership as well as the Parley A.I.R. strategy (“avoiding” plastic use, “intercepting” plastic waste”, and “redesigning” the plastic material).
adidas will release the latest Parley For The Oceans x adidas Boost Running Collection on June 8th in-store and online.
adidas Originals Brings Back The Campus This Summer With No Time To Think Campaign
By SoleInsider
One of the all-time classic adidas sneakers is back this summer with a new push for the Campus. The vintage low-top basketball shoe turned street icon returns with the help of the “No Time to Think” campaign, featuring influential faces from the street and skate cultures: Blondey McCoy, Na-Kel Smith, Tavia Bonetti and Tiffany Lighty. Inspired by the downtown scene in NYC during the early 1990s, a time defined by young men and women acting on instinct to create their own art, fashion, music, and skate scene, the No Time to Think concept re-introduces the classic Campus this summer in a new series of suede colorways, some of which you can preview here on the feet of the four individuals demonstrating the same No Time to Think lifestyle today.
The Campus returns this summer at adidas Originals retailers on June 15th.

adidas Introduces FORGEFIBER Technology With The AlphaBOUNCE
By SoleInsider
adidas continues to revolutionize the sneaker landscape as today they have introduced FORGEFIBER, an innovative stitching technology that efficiently provides precise fit and support in performance footwear.
FORGEFIBER, a process using TPU-coated yarn, maximizes the ability to provide targeted zones of stretch and lockout when stitched and heat compressed resulting in 30 percent more resistance using less thread. The design process was inspired by body movement and the exploration of how organic cell structures grow. The density and angles of the stitching can be changed to create higher levels of support, multidirectional benefits like lockout and conformity, and fine-tuning based on the sport and the size of the athlete.
?Every sport is about movement and every athlete is unique,? said Jon Munns, senior design director on the adidas Future team. ?They all have different needs and when we are designing products for them, we are trying to create the very best for them to support their movement.?
FORGEFIBER technology will be making its debut later this month with the AlphaBOUNCE in the Core Black colorway. This AlphaBOUNCE features the new FORGEFIBER upper that adapts to your foot as it moves from push-off to touchdown. Down below we see a flexible Bounce midsole that addresses the cushion comfort.
The adidas AlphaBOUNCE FORGEFIBER in Core Black will release on June 6th for a retail price of $140.
Kendall Jenner Signs With adidas As A Brand Ambassador
By SoleInsider
adidas is keeping it all in the family with their latest addition to their roster as celebrity Kendall Jenner has announced that she has signed on with the three stripes as an Originals brand ambassador. Kendall joins brother-in-law Kanye West who has been making some serious noise with adidas since signing on a few years ago.
There is still no official announcement from adidas, but Kendall posted the video you see below on her Instagram which shows her riding in a golf cart with the adidas logo and “WELCOME TO THE FAMILY” written on the back wall.
Introducing the latest technology from adidas: FORGEFIBER. Woven sneakers are all the rage right now and Primeknit has found its way onto basically every silhouette in the adidas Originals catalog. Now adidas is looking toward sustainability and optimal performance with FOREGEFIBER, a new innovative stitching process that provides a more precise fit thanks to TPU coated yarn that allows for improved flexibility in targeted zones while using 30% less thread. The first silhouette to showcase the technology will be the popular adidas AlphaBOUNCE model with a design inspired by the creation process that honed in on organic cell structures and growth.
Jason McGinnity, a designer on the adidas Future team had this to say about the project: ?Running is more about linear movement. The super flexible and strong FORGEFIBER upper for a runner will provide enhanced lockdown and stability in the midsole for a smooth gait cycle. For basketball, we want to be much more prescriptive in certain areas of the shoe, like on the lateral for heavy cutting. The adaptable design process can easily address different performance needs while still allowing breathability and comfort. As we look toward the future, possibilities of where we can take this are unlimited.?
The adidas FORGEFIBER AlphaBOUNCE LTD will debut in a “Core Black” colorway later this month for $140 USD on adidas.com. Stay tuned.
