Release Date: adidas Skateboarding x Bonethrower Footwear And Apparel Capsule

adidas Skateboarding recently revealed their highly anticipated capsule collection by renowned artist David M. Cook aka Bonethrower.

Known for his unique style and take on mysticism and memento mori, the adidas Skateboarding x Bonethrower collaboration channels Bonethrower?s immersive background in psychedelic art, skateboarding, and DIY culture for this limited edition footwear and apparel collection. Working in partnership with the Better Cotton Initiative, a selection from the collection was ethically sourced to help improve cotton production worldwide.

“The inspiration behind this collaboration was to try and best combine the world of adidas skateboarding with the one I created with YOD,” Bonethrower says about the idea to mesh his fictional world with real world skateboarding. “The wizards and warriors of YOD are from a world where everyday is a battle for survival and it’s a struggle to get to the end of the day to grab a cold one at the bar with your friends.”

Utilizing Bonethrower?s unmistakable aesthetic of bright, bold colors and graphic lines, the limited edition adidas Skateboarding x Bonethrower collection leads with a customized adidas Matchcourt shoe, track jacket, snapback hat, t-shirt and longsleeve tee. Bonethrower?s fine-lined iconography reads like modern hieroglyphics, marking new territory, while creating a synergy between Latin folk art and Los Angeles? modern visual swell. Through depth and simplicity, a new street language is created, with adidas? silhouettes providing the heritage to tell new stories.

Take a look at everything above and know that the limited edition adidas Skateboarding x Bonethrower collection will be available at specialty adidas retailers in the U.S. and the adidas Skateboarding website beginning August 5.

In support of the collaboration, adidas released a new video. As the ink dries and night falls, watch Jack Fardell, Daewon Song, Nora Vasconcellos, and Pete Eldridge cross over to the land of YOD, while Bonethrower’s world pushes its way through the cracks of reality.

adidas Originals Extends Their EQT Essentialism Concert Series To Four New Cities

Following the Portland debut with DJ and producer Kaytranada, adidas Originals has unveiled four additional dates to their adidas EQT Essentialism Free Concert Series. These events celebrate the origin of the EQT franchise.

These concerts are headlined by artists such as multiple Grammy-nominated BJ the Chicago Kid, Raury, Danny Brown and Isaiah Rashad just to name a few.

The four additional dates added to the tour include stops at Miami, Atlanta, Detroit, and Chicago.

For the entire month of August, adidas Originals goes back to the basics, standing by the EQT philosophy ? everything that is essential, nothing that is not.  Dialing each performance back to its raw essence, this free and immersive concert series is reminiscent of 90?s minimalism, Berlin circuit parties and Underground culture. Inspired by the groundbreaking movements in music that came from each chosen city, the ?Essentialism? concerts capture and celebrate what makes each destination unique.

Taking over a mix of traditional and unconventional venues for music?not unlike the warehouse parties of the 90s?the ?Essentialism? series applies the same pared-down approach of the EQT line to the carefully curated live performances. Sharing its storied history, each space will feature EQT displays offering an interactive overview into the line?s heritage and its continued influence on streetwear. All featured hip-hop and electronic acts will perform stripped down sets personifying essentialism through music while strengthening and supporting the creative community at each select city.

Below you will find dates, cities and artists scheduled to perform.

August 12th, Atlanta: Raury, Abra, Pheels
