adidas Skateboarding x A$AP Ferg Trap Lord Collection + New Nandos Music Video

adidas Skateboarding and Harlem born hip-hop creative A$AP Ferg have taken the time to officially unveil their second collection together. The adidas Skateboarding x Trap Lord collection bridges the gap between skate culture and hip-hop. Inspired by the mismatched style and creativity from the youth in inner-cities, Ferg draws similar parallels from his own experience growing up in New York City, creating unity and celebrating the determination to overcome adversity.

?I love working with adidas Skateboarding because I get to connect with a lot of cool kids and get involved in the culture. I?m excited about the new Trap Lord collection because we added a lot of elements into it,? says A$AP Ferg on his second collection collaboration with the brand.

The adidas Skateboarding x Trap Lord is comprised of several adidas heritage classics ? emblazoned with artwork and branding created by A$AP Ferg ? calling back to the historic connections between skate, sport, and hip-hop. The collection includes a pair of customized Matchcourt shoe, a windbreaker jacket, a pair of fleece pants, a jersey, a t-shirt, and a cap.

Along with the collection reveal, adidas Skateboarding and A$AP Ferg drop the official music video for “Nandos? from the rapper?s new critically acclaimed mixtape, Still Striving, which is the follow up to his sophomore album, Always Strive And Prosper. Set in an eerily abandoned school, Ferg delivers a compelling narrative to a group of wayward youth, cut between flashes of performance and skateboarding. Watch the video below.

The latest adidas Skateboarding x Traplord collection will be available only through specialty retailers in the U.S. and the adidas Skateboarding website beginning on September 5th 2017.

KoF Live: adidas Welcomes The Ultra Boost Laceless To The Family

Words & Images by Andres Carrillo

adidas will be welcoming a new member to the Boost family this upcoming Friday as we’ll be seeing the release of the adidas Ultra Boost Laceless. First we saw the release of the OG Ultra Boost which took the world by storm which was then followed up by the Ultra Boost Uncaged. Now we see adidas get rid of both the cage AND the laces to create the first laceless high-performance running shoe.

The designers at adidas used Aramis technology to construct a minimalistic and stylish upper that contours the foot, leaving the runner feeling unstrained, unlaced and free to create. The Ultra Boost Laceless is designed with a new Primeknit upper which has a sock-like fit and collar construction design which delivers a seamless fit and allows the foot to move in harmony with the upper, as one single unit. As you can see, the laces have been eliminated and replaced with a forged Primeknit band around the midfoot to provide support and lockdown, with expansion zones in the forefoot. Combine the new and improved Primeknit upper with adidas’ energy-returning Boost midsole and you have yourself the most intuitive Ultra Boost yet.

Get a detailed look at the Triple White pair above that was sent to us by the good people over at adidas. This Triple White pair along with the Core Black/Orange and Core Black/White colorways will release on Friday, September 1st for $200 each. Which pair(s) do you plan on going after?
