adidas Launches Laceless Copa 19+ Cleat

adidas recently launched their Laceless Copa 19+ Cleat. Unlike past adidas cleats such as the

Predator and the Nemiziz that were designed for control and agility, the Copa 19+ was designed for touch.

?With touch such a key focus of this boot, we spent a huge amount of time developing the new upper to ensure it delivers unparalleled touch and control when in contact with the ball,? states Senior Design Director, Dave Surface.

Getting rid of the laces allows players to feel the ball on all parts of their foot. This results in more precise passes and more accurate shots.

Technical innovations in the new Copa model can be understood in three ways ? fit, touch and movement.

The Sockfit collar provides support and expands to your movements. The boot is snug but does not constrict your foot. The new Fusion Skin is an evolution of the COPA?s classic leather treatment that features a seamless and less permeable skin, re-defining touch for a soccer cleat. The K Leather itself is super soft, providing optimal comfort and touch. The X Ray Vamp brings the foot closer to the ball and reduces slippage. The Purecut laceless upper remove unneeded layers to maximize ball control area.

The design of the COPA 19+ is also engineered to maximize movement. The Comfortframe stabilizes movement and enhances traction. The two footshape inlays allow optimal cushioning. The stud positioning and shape have been designed to optimize rotation.

The first edition of the COPA 19+ comes as part of the Initiator Pack. Featuring a striking champagne outsole with red adidas branding and a red/white sole plate, the Initiator Pack is a bold introduction for the Copa 19+.

With all that being said, if you still prefer your cleats with laces, adidas Football will be releasing a laced version of the Copa 19.1 that will feature key innovations of the Copa 19+. The adidas Copa 19+ is now available at adidas.com for $275.
