adidas Skateboarding is happy to debut their new “R?ZU? (or Rose) skate edit. The brand?s latest video features the global team taking to the streets of one of their favorite cities ? Tokyo. Dennis Busenitz, Silas Baxter-Neal, Rodrigo Teixeira, Mark Suciu, Gustav Tønnesen and other team riders, showcase the city through a lens that?s both uniquely raw and polished, with an emphasis on the spontaneity of a nocturnal Tokyo.
Additionally, the video welcomes new adidas Skateboarding team member, Diego Nájera, to the brand?s global team for the very first time. Nájera?s power and tech expertise, adds to the team?s unique styles and approach to skating to the mix in “R?ZU,? as well as teases his future with adidas.
Inspired by bloom of the Sakura, the edit is shot on a specially constructed, heat sensing camera that captures the longer wavelengths of Infrared Radiation from organic materials. The process results in footage with surreal hues and vibrant rose tones unnoticeable to the naked eye. “R?ZU? shows the team exploring new territory, both aesthetically and by skating some of the city?s lesser known spots, as well as the iconic environments that have shaped the city?s skate culture, putting their free-form creativity on display in the new medium.
