Kareem Abdul-Jabbar?s incredible legacy, especially in Los Angeles, has been defined by many chapters of his life and career. From college to the pros, activist to author, the NBA?s all-time leading scorer and Hall of Famer today adds another exciting project to his long list of impactful initiatives – the release of a limited-edition Kareem Abdul-Jabbar adidas Forum in partnership with adidas Los Angeles, to raise funds for his Skyhook Foundation. Founded by Abdul-Jabbar in 2009, the Skyhook Foundation helps bring science and outdoor education opportunities to youth in underserved communities across Los Angeles and beyond.

Custom-designed by Sneaker Customizers Factory8384, the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Forum upper material is hand-made in his Los Angeles Lakers home jersey, and in honor of his uniform number, only 33 pairs will be available for sale. Each pair will cost $1000, personally signed by Abdul-Jabbar himself, with 100% of proceeds benefiting the Skyhook Foundation. The limited-edition shoe will be released on June 26th at the highly-anticipated Sneaker Con event, taking place on the mobile-first experience app NTWRK.

To further honor this special ?Showtime? era of sports in Los Angeles, and the world, Abdul-Jabbar will be featured in a larger-than-life mural by David Flores, unveiling late June at the Hotel Figueroa in downtown Los Angeles. The mural calls out the legend?s accolades that make him one of the greatest of all time: ?Six Championship Rings, The NBA Points Record, The MVP Record, and My Dunk Was Outlawed. adidas will soon be releasing a new “ice Purple” colorway of the adidas Ultra Boost 5.0 DNA which was designed exclusively for women. This Ultra Boost is equipped with a Primeblue upper, a high-performance recycled material made in part with Parley Ocean Plastic. 50% of the upper is textile, 75% of the textile is Primeblue yarn. The color utilized on the sneaker include Cloud White, Ice Purple, and Solar Red with white dominating the knitted upper with a tan/beige lace cage/heel counter for a subtle contrast. Solar Red adidas branding on the tongues, a silver iridescent Boost midsole, and a white Continental rubber outsole finish off this women’s adidas Ultra Boost 5.0 DNA that is available now at select retailers and online for $180.

Although the Fall season is still more than three months way, adidas has decided to drop this Fall-ready iteration of the adidas Forum Low during the upcoming Summer season.

Done in a mix of Brown, Beige, Mustard, and Deep Green color hues, this iteration of the low-top sneaker is constructed out of leather, nubuck and suede. The earthy aesthetic of the sneaker makes it better suitable to wear in October but I don’t blakme you if you feel like adding these to your rotation during the current season. Standout details include the Deep Green accents and the Autumn-themed graphic insoles placed atop the Orange/Gum rubber outsole.

Extra Butter has teamed up with adidas Originals and adidas Golf for this dope capsule celebrating the 25th anniversary of Happy Gilmore.

The Extra Butter x adidas Happy Gilmore collection will include the adidas Ultraboost 1.0, the ZG21 spiked golf shoe, the Adilette Boost slides, and a range of apparel pieces. Paying tribute to three of the main characters of the movie, the collaboration honors Happy Gilmore, his coach Chubbs, and his nemesis Shooter McGavin. Their on-screen styles are portrayed on the collection, as each pair of footwear reflects the particular roles of the characters.

The Chubbs capsule features on-course performance gear that honors Happy?s mentor, Chubbs Peterson, and his traditional golf aesthetic – updated with EB?s contemporary flair. Pastels and argyle are integrated into polos, pleated pants, shorts and a tech anorak that uses adidas? PRIMEKNIT and WARPKNIT technology for lightweight, comfortable stretch fabrication. Each garment is embellished with embroidery memorializing Chubbs? iconic line ?It?s All In The Hips?. The popular lightweight adidas ZG21 spiked golf shoe also receives the Chubbs treatment,
sporting a clean bone-white colorway with brogue paneling and throwback fringe kiltie to go along with BOOST comfort. In typical Extra Butter storytelling style, details such as gator skin and wood-grain finishing are incorporated as a reminder to be wary of that damn alligator that bit Chubbs? hand off!

The legendary Shooter McGavin, Happy?s nemesis, is commemorated in a capsule that reflects streetwear?s disruption in golf. Shooter finally gets his coveted Gold Jacket in the form of the adicross Bomber Jacket, featuring a ?pro golfers tour championship? inspired Extra Butter crest, classic adidas striping, custom woven collar and cuffs.
The gold motif is reflected on the Shooter Ultraboost 1.0, upgraded with plush suede, gold-fleck PRIMEKNIT, and an imprint of the famous ?Shooter? hand gesture that he does throughout the film. Subtle details include a sublimated graphic insole from the film and webbing across the striped cage that can stash three golf tees. The capsule rounds off with a visor and cap, both featuring the iconic Shooter logo.

The third capsule, inspired by Happy Gilmore?s character, takes you from the links straight to the 19th hole with an assortment of streetwear-inspired pieces. The comfy adidas Adilette Boost Slide features a green felt footbed with brogue accents and anniversary branding. The collection also includes graphic tees, cozy sweatpants, and a cooler bag – for a brisk 6-pack on a long day out at the local muni.

To fully round out the story are Extra Butter?s collaborated accessories with Phat Scooters, Seamus Golf, Vice Golf and Asher Golf.
