Look For The adidas NMD Monochrome Pack To Release This Week
By SoleInsider
Adding to the already stacked list of adidas NMD releases this week is this Monochrome Pack that contains two tonal colorways of the versatile runner from adidas.
With one pair coming in all-white and the other with a black upper and white BOOST midsole, the adidas NMD Monochrome Pack will release on Thursday, March 17th along with lots of other pairs of NMDs that release the same day. Both of these pairs feature full Primeknit uppers along with tonal laces and tonal EVA inserts on the midsoles. Finishing things off on both colorways are white BOOST midsoles and white rubber outsoles.
You can look for the adidas NMD Monochrome Pack at select adidas Originals retailers as well as adidas.com on March 17th.

Author’s Take
The white pair is very versatile and great for the Summer, but just like the all-white Ultra Boost I don’t think that white Primeknit is a good idea because of how fast it gets dirty. I would prefer picking up the black pair instead.
The New Ye Order: Kanye West Can Sell A Million adidas Yeezys, But Is It Enough
By SoleInsider
Kanye West said on Twitter that adidas is making a million pairs of Yeezys this year. He also said on Twitter that he was foregoing the traditional cycle of fashion collections and album releases. If you’re a Yeezy disciple, this is major news. Then again, Kanye also said that his next album will be called “Turbo Grafx 16” but we all know that’s going to change to “Neo-Geo” or “Nintendo Virtual Boy” any day now. Basically, you take what he says when he goes on his “Twitter Poetry” binges with a grain of salt.
But let’s go back to that million Yeezys tweet bullet point for a second there. To quote Charles Barkley, first of all, I hope he’s not f*****g around when he says that. Second of all, if adidas really is in the process of dropping a million Yeezys this year (which doesn’t seem to be the case but play along…), that would be great on so many levels. It would finally put an end to the whole “is Kanye influential?” debate that has been raging for years (Spoiler Alert: He is). Anybody that can sell a million of anything is influential. That’s Ralph level, or in this case, Jordan level. Sneakerheads and hypebeasts will line up for the adidas Yeezy Boost 750 Brown that don’t even have a release date, imagine what they’ll do if they know they have a real chance. If Kanye can shift the paradigm and bring us that much closer to the all-digital music future, he’s going to have people lining up for blocks trying to buy those million Yeezys in 2016.
What he needs to realize though is that million is nowhere near close to what it would take to fulfill his other promise. You know, the one where he said that anybody that wants a pair of Yeezys will be able to buy it, which in turn would make it iconic like the Nike Air Force 1. That million isn’t even close to satisfying demand.
What are those, ‘Ye? No, really, tell us what they are so we put up a launch page about it already…
Think about what 2016 will be like if adidas and Kanye do drop a million Yeezys among the various colorways and models. Last year we had two 750 colorways, four 350 colorways and several 950s. If Yeezy Season 3 and French Montana is any indicator of what to expect, we might also see the arrival of the much-talked 550 and 1050 along with a few new colorways of the 350, the aforementioned brown 750. And that’s not even taking into account Yeezy Season 4 and beyond if ‘Ye really does create his own fashion calendar. That’s a lot of Yeezys to be split between that supposed million and that’s not even including the rumored restocks of last year’s releases. If Yeezys were produced in the tens of thousands before, it probably jumps to a hundred thousand for each release at best. Considering an Air Jordan 11 that most people didn’t even like sold a million last year, but the hype for Yeezys is considerably larger, there are going to be plenty of people taking Ls on Yeezys in 2016 regardless of the increased production number.
Because it’s not just sneakerheads that want Yeezys now. It’s reach includes the Kanye stans who buy Stan Smiths and don’t even know who Stan Smith but will buy anything endorsed by ‘Ye – think a Supreme collab but less gross. There are the Kim Kardashian fans who adore her every move and give her millions of dollars every day for her emojis who love that she wears Yeezys. Sneakerheads that just discovered adidas are now buying everything hyped by the three stripes, including Ultra Boosts and NMDs. Resellers will stay being resellers and messing up the system and hypebeasts well… you know how they do. From personal experience, I get more questions about the Yeezys from people who don’t know or give a s**t about sneakers than anybody else. Then they ask if they can see my pair like a bunch of creepers. So yeah, make more, Yeezy, please…
This is a long story with a conclusion that could go anywhere. For all we know, that million could be the actual tipping point for Kanye and adidas and the Yeezy Brand is finally a normal thing that has kicks that sell out and Team Yeezys that occupy store shelves. Or maybe Kanye could change the game once again and leave adidas for Vans or come back to Nike. His next move is about as unpredictable as his next tweet. Maybe if he sold as many shoes as Pharrell he wouldn’t be so bothered too much. You know, it’s not like the Superstar or the Stan Smith didn’t already have a built-in audience and the benefit of a few decades of history and significance behind it already that all of that can be credited to Skateboard P or that ‘Ye isn’t starting something from the ground up (as much working with a billion-dollar corporation can be called “from the ground up”) with his name on it or something like that.
I just really want to stop people asking me about Yeezys or hitting me up for pairs. Make 15 million, ‘Ye, do it…
adidas Confirms No Yeezy Boost Will Release In March
By SoleInsider
Today, adidas Originals, via their official Twitter account, confirmed that no Yeezy Boost release will go down this month. The message to all of the overzealous fans out there that are already camping out for the next Yeezy shoes: Go home and move on with your daily life. However, sources have confirmed with us that a Yeezy Boost release will definitely go down in April, although the specific shoe has yet to be finalized. Stay tuned for more updates as we approach next month and if you missed it, check out our exclusive photo gallery of the “Chocolate” Yeezy Boost 750s.
The adidas Ultra Boost currently rests atop the three stripe’s holy triumvirate of Boost-wielding models alongside the Yeezy series and the freshly minted NMD collection. When adidas initially called the Ultra Boost the best running model the brand had ever made, it definitely perked up the ears of running enthusiasts, but seemed like a good old fashioned case of a brand patting themselves on the back. Simply put, few had the knowledge that this model would be such a hit in the lifestyle category. The Primeknit x Boost silhouette is back in a return of Obsidian and Black to mirror the debut colorway, but with a different composition this time around. A toebox gradient utilizes numerous shades of blues fading inward toward a grey base for a casual aesthetic. No word yet on a stateside arrival, but check for this pair at your local retailer in the near future.
First Look At Pharrells adidas Sneaker, The PW ZX 333
By SoleInsider
Pharrell is getting his own signature sneaker with adidas in the adidas PW ZX 333. The move is a surprising update to the adidas Originals category, but in and of itself isn?t too much of a reach given the track record of the three stripe?s lifestyle imprint to reach out to the world-famous producer for frequent collaboration. From the playful dancing Instagram video, we can?t confirm too much other than a bright monochromatic colorway mirroring Pharrell?s affection for vibrancy (see the SuperColor collection for more on that). From the featured image, a bolstered neoprene base is interrupted by breathable mesh on the toecap while traditional three stripe panels are stitched onto the sides. The ZX imprint was one of the leading running categories during the late-80s to early-90s boom of technological running wonders. Given Pharrell’s ongoing nostalgia, the move to utilize the ZX series as inspiration is a smart one. No word yet on a release date, but we’ll keep you updated on Pharrell’s adidas sneaker right here on Sneaker News.

adidas Originals’ ankle-cuffed slip-on sneaker known as the Tubular Doom has taken the world by storm in just a few short months. Monumental releases like the “reflective” versions that hit stores during Fashion Week, Ronnie Fieg’s collaboration, and the snakeskin versions have all been lauded for their stylish approach, so there’s no need to express just how highly anticipated the next Tubular Doom release is. This Satuday, March 19th, adidas will drop the “Special Forces” colorway in Primeknit form featuring a tonal beige upper that calls out to the desert camouflage look (without actual camo print). It’s not clear if reflective threads are embedded in the Primeknit upper, although it appears that a unique strand is embedded in the bootie/heel of the shoe. Enjoy a first look right below and let us know if this is the best adidas Tubular Doom yet.
An On-Feet Look At The adidas Y-3 Kyujo Low Black/White
By SoleInsider
The adidas Y-3 Kyujo is one of Y-3’s newest models, but did you know that they also low top version of the shoe? Today we take an an-feet look at the adidas Y-3 Kyujo Low in the black and white colorway.
The Kyujo Low comes with an upper that features a neoprene inner-sleeve paired up with wavy leather panels, a bungee lace-up system all while sitting on top of a unique looking sole unit. The majority of the shoe come in a black colorway, with the white accents found on the sole and heel counter to create some nice and sharp contrast. Available now at select Y-3 retailers, this shoe can be yours today for the retail price of $385.
The Ultra Boost ST comes in a Primeknit woven upper done up in the Bright Orange (Sun Glow) colorway. The shoe also comes with 3M speckling on the Three Stripes branding as well as on the heel tab region of the shoe. Tonal branding and laced appear on the tongue and heel counter, all while sitting on top of an all-white Boost midsole to provide the maximum comfort we all know and love. A black rubber outsole rounds out the look of the shoe. Said to be a women’s colorway, how many of you (men or women) plan on picking up a pair once they arrive stateside?
Although I’ve yet to try on a pair, I think I prefer these over the Ultra Boost because of the inclusion of an actual tongue on the ST version. My only concern is if the shoe will be just comfortable as the regular Ultra Boost.
A John Elliott x adidas NMD Collaboration Is On The Way
By SoleInsider
At this exact moment, the adidas NMD is one of the most popular models that adidas has to offer. It’s right up there with the Ultra Boost and Yeezy Boost. Barely having released in December, adidas already has plans to have the shoe take part in collaboration projects. One of the first NMD collaborations will have the shoe team up with John Elliot. Let’s take a look at the sneak peak (catalog shot) of the John Elliott x adidas NMD.
The John Elliot Co. manages to put their imprint on their shoe by having the shoe’s upper come in a metallic silver upper. The tonal look of the upper is then contrasted by the black hits seen on the laces, eyelets and heelstay. A white Boost midsole is seen below to complete the makeup of the shoe. Not much else is known regarding this collab but be sure to check back for the latest information regarding this upcoming release.
Check Out The Raf Simons x adidas Originals Stan Smith Metallic Copper
By SoleInsider
Raf Simons continues teaming up with adidas to deliver adidas enthusiasts the collaborations that they love. This time around all the attention is centered around the Stan Smith. Today we take our first look at the bold looking Raf Simons x adidas Originals Stan Smith Metallic Copper.
The most notable feature on the shoe is the fact that the upper comes covered in a copper colorway placed on a metallic patent leather upper. Adding his own signature touch to the shoe are the perforation holes on the side panels used Rafi’s branding hit as the holes are aligned to created the letter “R”. A set of brown laces keep the tonal look going, while the tonal sole unit completes the theme. Check out the first image above and stay tuned to find out when these will release.
The adidas Originals Stan Smith Sun Glow Was Made For The Spring (and Summer)
By SoleInsider
Next Sunday is officially the beginning of Spring. That means it also the (un)official time for everyone to begin rocking their bold colored sneakers. If you don’t have a bold pair to rock under the sun, take a moment to look at the adidas Originals Stan Smith Sun Glow.
This Stan Smith is considered a classic and vintage adidas sneaker, but when you cover it entirely in a bold color it completely changes the look of the shoe. Looking as vibrant as ever, the shoe comes in a bright orange colorway (Sun Glow) that almost takes care of the shoe from head to toe. The only part of the shoe not coming in the Sun Glow colorway is found on the suede accents placed on the heel of the shoe. Perforations on the side panels are used as the Three Stripes branding, Trefoil branding on the heel and the Stan Smith branding on the tongue. Diggin’ the colorful look? Pick up a pair today at select retailers for $85.
It’s a fun looking sneaker that I’m sure many Stan Smith loyalists will enjoy in the Spring. It does not have the classic look, but it’s still considered a classic model.
Cop The adidas adiZero Prime Boost Midnight Midnight Today
By SoleInsider
Quick, name the first adidas Boost models that come to mind. Did you happen to say Ultra Boost, Pure Boost and Yeezy Boost? Odds are that you did, but did you know there’s plenty other Boost offerings out there? Take for example the adidas adiZero Prime Boost. Just because it doesn’t get the same amount of love as the shoes I mentioned above, doesn’t mean it’s not as equally enticing.
The adidas adiZero Prime Boost Midnight comes with a beautiful tonal Midnight Navy color scheme placed on the Primeknit constructed upper. The woven upper also has black hues to create minimal contrast on the shoe. There is also a dual midsole with full-length Boost technology that also uses a Torsion midfoot unit that pairs it up with Continental branded rubber outsole to give you superior grip and stability. A tonal heel counter and branding on the side panels and tongue complete the look of the shoe. Available now, let us know if you plan on picking up a pair.
I’ll admit, the two major Boost shoes that I know of are the Ultra Boost and Pure Boost, but now that I got a good look at the adidas adiZero Prime Boost, I’m really intrigued by it, It also has the lifestyle look, and as a bonus to my wide feet, it has an actual tongue (unlike the Ultra Boost). I like it.
